destinystrings | The Search for the Newcomers, November 2012 Edition.

Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city, anywhere from the 5th to the 20th.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.

[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
They were getting much better at this, it was for certain.

The COMPS had been upgraded with a new program, HORUS which allowed them to spot abnormalities; if something or someone showed up suddenly in a city that was constantly scanned, then there was a high probability it was a newcomer. There was also a sort of left energy from the travel; the Wise Men called it leftover Magatama Residue, where the magical energy used to pull them to this world and keep the String intact was still faintly present around them. It wouldn't last more than a few minutes, however, and due to the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult. As the blips appear on your radar function, they were nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there.

Now it was just left up to chance and make sure you got there fast enough that you were still able to find them relatively easily. For the most part, the fact they stuck out would most certainly help...

[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

The demon turned around, jiggling faintly from uh...everywhere?

"Uh...?"

However, her 'boyfriend' for the evening seemed a little more off-put.

"You mind not comin' on with my date?! Get lost!"

E-excuse him as he stares... Uh. Well now he feels self-conscious. He sincerely hopes those are just really. Really. Really weird costumes.

"A-ah... Yeah. Sorry. I like just wanted to get some information. ...Is that alright?" So maybe it was the weirdest way in the history of ever to ask, but. He's a weird guy. ...Except maybe not as weird as these two, uh...

Yosuke was just passing on his way home from work when he noticed this weird guy randomly asking people things on the street. Huh. What in the world was he doing? He didn't look like he belonged here, maybe he was new??

And as he's approaching to help him out with whatever he's asking, he catches whiff of this whole debacle between him and two sex demons and...

BAHAHAHA WHAT WHY WOULD HE DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT--

Yosuke is legitimately falling off of his bike and onto the ground he's laughing so hard. "Oh god, it hurts!! Hahahah, what the hell dude, hahahaha!!"

It felt so satisfying being on the other end of the joke for once.

...Is this normal around here? "W-what...!" Is he wearing his clothes backwards today or something???

"D-dude!! Hahahah!!" He seriously can't breath he's laughing so hard. "Dude, why the hell would you walk up to a pair of sex demons and ask something like that?!"

Actually, is the term 'sex demons' offensive? He hopes not. He really didn't need to have another showdown with Mara...

...He so does not get it ~~but he has been some risque places~~. He'll look back and forth between the demons and Yosuke a few times before going to help Yosuke up out of the kindness of his heart. Also because it is seriously awkward to talk to someone when they are literally rolling on the ground laughing at you, his life right here.

"Why not...?"

Yosuke slowly takes his hand and gets to his feet, tears coming from his eyes from laughing so hard, although the laughter's beginning to die down. He wipes his eyes slowly. "Ugh, man, asking anyone that is kind of offensive. But asking a couple of demons?? That's just asking for serious trouble that you don't want to get involved in."

Because you'll either end up seriously hurt, or working as a stripper/hooker for one of their clubs...

"Are you new here??"

...Hunh. "Yeah. Somebody told me about this place, but I like don't really remember too much about it. You know?" The whole dream thing is kind of hazy. "...So like what's wrong with the demons? Do they eat your kidneys or something?"

... "I dunno, I never saw them do anything like that. But if you piss them off they can get you killed pretty quickly, especially if you don't know how to use your Persona. Otherwise they might turn you into a sex slave or something??"

He remembers getting an offer from Lilith to be a regular drag queen... he'd turned down the offer before she could even say 'crossdressing.'

"...Sounds intense." That's probably not the right response for this situation... "Ah. I'm like Hong Kong. Do you live here?"

...Well obviously Yosuke has to live in the area at least. People don't exactly bike outside a ten mile radius if they can help it. But he's trying to be polite! ...Because somehow Yosuke has earned his politeness. Maybe you just have to reverse pick on him first to get it...

Hey you two remember the demons Honk Kong was talking to a short few minutes ago?

Yeah. They were having a small fight thanks to you.

"MARA! I DO NOT NEED YOU TO ANSWER FOR ME, I AM AN INDEPENDANT DEMON, WILL YOU PLEASE STOP SEEING ME JUST AS A PAIR OF TITS?"

"Babe! No. Not that's not it, I-"

She gave him a smack right across the testicles. As two guys, you probably felt that pain, especially when he doubled over as much as a demon of his likeness could.

Her everything bouncing, she began to storm off.

"B-babe! Babe I'm so sorry!" The chariot with Mara inside began to very slowly follow her.

Yosuke... Yosuke is trying so hard not to burst out laughing, he's trying everything, from covering his mouth and nose while small snickers escape to holding his breath...

He can't do it. He seriously can't do it. Yosuke bursts out laughing, doubling over and holding his stomach after the whole scene unfolds. As someone who seriously couldn't stand the sight of Mara, both literally and figuratively, that couldn't have gone any better. Sorry Hong Kong, Yosuke is going to be on the ground again from this.
