When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

[As usual, apart from the typical monsters and the government officials standing guard in front, begrudgingly allowing the guests in, the Mctlan hasn't changed much every since the guests arrived.

You can hear some strange whispering noises inside and the wind keeps blowing in different directions but with no sources. Yet there appears to be no doors...and nothing to break that would make a door.

...truth be told, it's kinda boring. There's more action to be had outside of the main temple building with the monsters.]

[Some nights, those who visit the Mictlan will be privy to more than a few strange whispering noises. It's a bona-fide telepathic whine-fest as someone or another mutters to herself unseen.]

Tch, this is so dumb! What's the point of being a deity if you're not even allowed to sequence break the game?!

[At some point, a beam of light may descend suddenly out of the sky to smash into the side of the Mictlan. It accomplishes absolutely nothing.]

[Viridi sounds slightly petulant as she turns her mastery of biting wit onto the convenient new target.]

I see you're banking on the hopes that this is one of those puzzles that are solved by killing every monster in the room.

I've found that exterminating resistance tends to work rather well towards my goals, most of the time. But I assume you mean the problem that the way is shut, more or less. I've asked Ferrus to look at it, but short of us letting us in I doubt we're going to get anywhere soon.

I find that humans find extermination to be their default solution to most problems. At least we can agree about the target of extermination in this case.

But yes, it's closed for good; that's what I meant by railroad plot.

[Don't mind him just stopping in place as he hears that voice, his monstrous Persona looking around with curiousity.]

[His conscience obviously manifests in Viridi's voice because she is his favorite goddess.]

So, a young man was also hanging around the entrance, seemingly spacing out while staring at the temple and, while he probably wasn't paying attention to Viridi's complaints, he sure was paying attention after the beam of light suddenly crashed into the temple's side.

"Ahh!" Sheesh, where the heck did that come from!?

"Hey! Pay more attention to what you're doing! You almost got in the way of my snipe shot there."

Because it is clearly Kaito's fault if he gets caught in the crossfire.

"Oh! Uh...Sorry!" He said to...whoever that was? Probably Viridi. Man, he was so out of it that she did have a point about him needing to pay attention.

"Let me guess: we still can't get in, huh?"

"...No."

She sounds slightly disgruntled.

"I can get in whenever I want. I'm a god. I'm just... letting you figure it out for yourself. Laser blasts don't work, write that down."

[Meetra pauses in her assessment of the next group of demons to corral and practice on to think aloud.]

Nice laser cannon. Do you have a starship hiding somewhere to fire that off?

Wrong genre. I'm strictly medieval fantasy here; the Aurum were sort of a weird fluke.

...Although to be fair, I do have a lunar base.

Perhaps it is to keep us from entering before we are at a high enough level, Miss Viridi.

[She's walking through the Mictlan, chainsword in one hand, and trying to find any sign of an entrance and taking mental notes on the layout of the building.

It is surprisingly less unnerving to be doing this with a goddess essentially throwing a temper tantrum from the heavens. That beam of light is one reason why she's glad she has the goddess on her side.]

Right, because leveling my Persona to 'MAX' is a huge game changer for me. It's not like I have powers and immortality and omnipotence coming out the wazoo here.

[Viridi sighs slightly, but no future laser blasts are forthcoming.]

This is probably a waste of time, honestly.

It might be, but it doesn't hurt to look ahead. If this indeed the 'final level' as you claim it is, shouldn't we try looking for clues as to what might lay inside when it inevitably does open?

[If not try to figure out how to open it up. Arturia stops in front of one section of the random glyphs on the wall. They're complete gibberish, but Arturia doesn't know that and studies them hoping any kind of idea might come to her.]

He normally shouldn't be out at this hour. Honestly, it was probably better to stay indoors, what with the all the weird shit coming in. Almost like they were being teleported in. Weird...

And yet, he wasn't interested in checking any of them out. No, whenever he was wandering the streets at this time of night, he always found himself coming back to Mictlan for some weird-ass reason. At first, he just went on a route that went past it, but now...Kaito couldn't go inside, of course, but it didn't stop him from checking out the place.

Kaito wasn't the only one who periodically came to check this place out, of course. It more or less screamed suspicious, and besides it reminded Minato strongly of Tartarus. Someplace that changed forms during that extra hour and seemed to be waiting to be explored and its secrets unlocked...? Definitely worth checking out.

And yet tonight, it seemed to be more of the same. Minato was just sighing to himself and turning to head back out to somewhere more productive when he heard the sound of someone else nearby. Turning, he caught a flash of white and tightened his grip on his sword, ready for --

for nothing. It was that guy with the cute sweatshirt Minato had met the day they both arrived.

Well, there was no reason not to be friendly, now that they were both here, so Minato lowered his sword and glanced back up at Mictlan. "... think it'll ever open?"

At first, it seemed like he was spacing out while staring at the gate. Then, he took a couple steps backward, ran forward, and proceeded to try to climb it.

It wasn't going very well, considering that he sliiiiiid down the gate again less than a minute later, already out of breath and too weak from his recent sickness to try anymore.

"...I doubt it." Oh.

So he was listening.

Minato watched Kaito quietly, frowning a little as he took note of how out of breath he seemed. But it didn't seem to matter enough to comment on just yet. And then Kaito finally spoke.

"Do you think there's a key to getting in, then?"

Besides just trying to climb it....
