When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

[ Minato stirs as she picks her way across the room and finds her jacket, but it's not until he hears the door that he actually wakes up, groggily opening his eyes and blinking around. Hearing the door click shut, he sits up.

Has Minako gone somewhere...?

He looks around for the time for a moment or two before he realizes. Oh, it's the Dark -- no, it's the Thirteenth Hour here. (Some day he will get used to the different terminology.) Yawning, he rubs his face and debates if it's worth it to investigate or if going back to sleep would be okay...

But... no, it wouldn't be right to just lay back down. What did she leave for?

Sighing, he gets up and stumbles about until he finds his evoker (never hurts to be prepared in a city like this or a time like this) and his coat. He really hopes she hasn't gone far, since he doesn't bother to find his pants and pull them on over his boxers. ]

[Shinjiro finds the feeling familiar: the nagging, incessant pull. It's not the same, but reminds him of the music he heard a few months ago, and the ghost child in the glass that called them there. This feels a bit like it, this compulsion to get up and follow his feet to whatever point it led him.

He tries to ignore it, but finds he can't. Finds himself moving, almost automatically to put on his coat and pants, then wandering over to door and slip on his shoes and open the door. He locks it behind him and starts to walk. His eyes quickly catch Minako just down the hallway (though he can't see Minato). Shinjiro's eyes narrow and his relaxed pace speeds up in response as he attempts to catch up with her.

Maybe she feels the same pull he does. That had happened with the music, too.]

Hey, [he calls, voice just loud enough to travel along the corridor,] hold on.

[greatseal]

[She turns, looking surprised to suddenly see him there, but also slightly distracted. This conversation is taking her away from where she needs to go.

He's fully dressed, but she only has her coat and boots over her night clothes, a long T-shirt and leggings. At least she does have leggings unlike a certain brother.]

Senpai?

[ Minato's still puttering about her apartment, getting his stuff together and waking up enough to coherently walk out the door. ]

[ He's not so surprised.

He catches to her, slowing down to an almost stop, though it takes some effort to slow down. His feet don't seem to particularly want to. They know where they want to go. ]

Yeah.

[But he's not so distracted to not notice what she's wearing. He does, however, manage to bite down on the urge to call her out on it. It would be a waste of time, and he suddenly doesn't want to waste it standing around and waiting for her to change. It's an annoying feeling, to be suddenly impatient for no goddamn reason except a magnetic feeling in your gut. But it ain't like it would do much good anyway. If he's learned anything, she'll wear whatever she goddamn wants, and this is better than some of the attire he's seen her wear. ]

You feel weird?

[greatseal]

[She moves to take his arm when he gets close enough... but instead of a fond gesture between lovers meeting in an apartment hallway, it quickly turns into her pulling him farther along the corridor. She doesn't seem to be able to stop, either.]

Mm. ...I need to take a walk, I guess. Are you coming too?

[she says, as they're already halfway to the elevators.]

[ And right when they reach the elevators is when Minato finally has his boots and coat on and stumbles out the door. He catches sight of them and takes a step or two after before he remember to lock the door. Only then does he start after them. It's a little late to call out, as they're already in the elevator, but well... he can follow. ]

A "walk," huh?

[ A walk. Sure. That sounds reasonable enough, wanting to take a walk at this hour. It makes his unnatural impatience take on a wary edge, though he doesn't pull back or slow down when she starts to drag him along, just speeds to keep pace with her until they reach the elevator and slip inside and descend. He might have noticed Minato had Shinjiro not been distracted by Minako's odd insistence that only served as a catalyst for his own.

...It isn't much of a "walk", really. And once they reach the ground floor, they're off again, heading out the door and into the night. The chilly Dark Hour air is impossible to miss, though it's also hard to not notice the weird pinpricks of light in the sky. They certainly don't look like stars. ]

...Maybe a jog?

[At least she can joke about it a little. Having Shinjiro there makes Minako a bit more aware of the problems with this 'walk,' but at the same time, emboldens her. Whatever is going on, she's not alone in it. It's hard to stay worried.

Her pace speeds up a little more, leaving Minato further behind them.]

[And farther away from them, at the entrance of the building, Miki is pushing away at the front door as she jumps up and down tugging on one of her boots with both hands, a pair of mittens in her mouth. The strange feeling they all had had been weaker with her, but there was that odd vibe she NEEDED to be up for some reason. It was only when she'd noticed the others going down that she had run back in to get dressed herself.

As fast as possible if she was going to keep pace. Miki wasn't made for emergency grabs and runs. Almost forgot her identity card too...

She had tried to yell at Minato to slow down so she could catch up with him by the time she was outside, but, well, pair of mittens in mouth. It took a few more seconds for her to finish dressing up to be able to remove them and speak to him again.]

Senpai! What's going on?

[Because obviously everyone else but her knew the answer to this? Also don't mind the miss-matched outfit. At least she wasn't missing any pieces of clothing.]

[Akihiko may have been late to the party, but not by much. It was one of the few nights he had allowed himself to take a break from patrolling, but that same nagging feeling that everyone else had been having had kept him from being able to settle. Once he exits the building, he spots the others and breaks into a run in order to catch up, pulling his sweatshirt on over the matching pants and teeshirt he had dressed in for bed. He had managed to tie his shoes before leaving, at least, but even then, just barely.]

Hey!

[He pushed himself to close the distance between himself, Miki and Minato.]

You guys feel it, too?

[ Minato is hunched over in his coat, hands stuffed deep in his pockets as he shuffles after his sister and Shinjiro. Already he is regretting having not had the presence of mind to put on pants, but he doesn't want to risk losing Minako and Shinjiro by taking the time to go back - besides, the loner he's out here, the more he feels this faint tug. There's something out there that wants them to find it, it seems - like that night in lat October, when there'd been that strange singing...

But he's broken out of his thoughts by the sound of Miki's voice behind him, and he stops, doing his best to suppress shivers as he pauses and turns to look at her. Of course, he can't help but glance over the outfit, but he really doesn't care too much. It's not any worse than what he's wearing. ]

Minako and Shinjiro-senpai took off. ... I think something's out there, calli--

[ He breaks off, though, as he hears a distant shout. A sideways glance reveals Akihiko coming up fast. Well, it certainly is getting crowded out here, but Minato finds it quite curious that everyone in SEES seems to have been drawn out. He wonders if they'll get wherever this call is coming from and find Mitsuru standing there and chiding them for being late.

Still, he waits for Akihiko, and at senpai's question, he nods, hunching a bit more into his coat. ]

Feel it? ...so that's why I felt the strangest urge to get u--

[WAIT A MINUTE. Now that she's close enough and she notices Minato freezing, she stops midway to look at him.]

Uh...is there any reason why you're not wearing a pair of pants? Y-you look like you're freezing...

[Nice leg--WAIT WHY IS SHE THINKING THAT NOT THE TIME MIKI.]

[risetocaesar]

[Because what Minato is wearing -- or rather not wearing -- is so much more important than this strange nagging feeling they're all having, Akihiko takes a moment to stare shamelessly at Minato's legs.]

You're going to get frostbite, leader.

[And then, suddenly, he snaps his gaze upwards to focus on Minato's face, frowning.]

You're supposed to wear pants when you're around my sister!

[ Minato shifts from one leg to the other and shivers, frowning at the way the siblings are looking at him - and particularly his legs. ]

I ran out of the apartment after Minako. If I take the time to go back, we'll lose them.

[ He shoots a bit of a weary look at Akihiko. ]

She's seen me in swim trunks. How is this different?

H-hey! That's not the conversation we should be having right now!

...about the swimming trunks that is!! You're going to catch a cold!

[OH MY GOD?!?!]

I'm sorry Aveline. I'm skipping Akihiko for just a single line!

Not if we start running...

[Don't worry about Minato: he'll catch up. Be the track star you were born to be, Minato. Get the blood moving; you'll feel warmer.]

...Don't even know what the hell we're even looking for.

[Or how he even knows he's even looking for something in the first place; or how he knows instinctively where to go, even with her taking the initiative; just as he doesn't know why everything's suddenly so damn urgent all of a sudden.

She's going to be making him run at this rate.]

Well... We'll find out when we get there, won't we? It's like climbing Tartarus.

[No, it's not really like climbing Tartarus at all, except that they know they're going somewhere without actually knowing the purpose of the journey.]

[Well, nothing like doing something for the complete hell of it.

Sure. He can do that.

Tonight, anyway.]

Guess we should try to find the damn staircase then.

[He quiets, pulling away from her. And even though he knows he shouldn't—just because it's the New Moon doesn't mean they shouldn't be careful, keeping their eyes and ears open for anything that feels like starting trouble—he breaks out into a run, nudged into moving faster by the same force that's telling him where to go.

He's sure she can keep up, or else he's going to find the proverbial staircase first.]

Hey--!

[His action surprises her so much that for a moment she's left in the dust. But she quickly speeds up again, not quite managing to match his stride, but getting closer.]

No - fair! Say something before you start a race!

[themortalhalf]

[ He'd talk if he wasn't too busy running, following the strange, supernatural pull through the moonlit streets, like it's some kind of internal compass. But a headstart was only fair, really: he can't be a long-distance runner, and his body has no false illusions of ever being one. His pace, initially strong, flags quickly enough, giving her space and opportunity to catch up.

Doesn't feel like it's much farther, anyway. ]

[She's surprised by how quickly he slows and starts to lag behind. This causes her to pout at him as she passes.]

That doesn't mean throw the race, either!

[ He snorts, turning around a corner, bolting past a pair of demons that seem quite content to leave them be.

It's suddenly easy to remember why he doesn't run much anymore, but he speeds up anyway, keeping his pace as steady as he can manage until he circles around another corner, spotting an oddly familiar building in the distance. ]

[Competition or not, Minako slows once the building comes into view, until she's moving at nothing more than a slow walk towards it. As though she can't believe what she's seeing.

Why should she, anyway? The Dorm should be back in Iwatodai. Not hanging out on a street in the middle of Libra district.

The strange pull has also vanished, as quickly as it had appeared. This is clearly their destination. The question now is... how?]
