When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

"I've noted a few new places, perhaps this is how this place is dealing with everything from before vanishing?"

He glanced at her; she had worded it that a little strangely. "You're referring to the calamity that befell this world ten years ago?"

Or is she talking about what Philemon and his arch-nemesis had done to pull them here?

"There is that possibility, but I suspect its more the forces that brought us here to fill the void of the calamity."

"Oh, them? Mmm, they probably just opened the doors when they brought us here, and unwittingly triggered... this."

He gestured lightly at the shrine, at the offertory box place in front of the steps, and at the paved stone walkway. Who knows if it was deliberate or not, this area coming here. Well, some people probably know.

"Its possible, but I get the distinct feeling that nothing happens purely out of chance when the powers here are concerned."

Pharos shrugged and hopped down from the stone lion he had been seated on. "That can be so as well. Countless designs are at work here, right?"

"Well, there are at least 2 sides here, possibly more so that is a probable hypothesis."

[the_usual_stuff]

Hahah, just two sides pursing their own interests and goals? The little boy made a humming sound to acknowledge he was listening to what she was saying and wandered over to the offertory box, checking it for any wishes.

"From your tone though I suspect you know of several more than just the two. I've been bad at paying attention to current events, trying to take inventory of my own resources."

[the_usual_stuff]

"Yes. And well, many 'sides' here have multiple facets," Pharos remarked, finding no wishes in the wooden box. The offertory box was empty of prayers. The small child moved onto the shrine itself, examining the inside of the structure. Distantly; "Take inventory?"

"Of what systems on the Nadesico I can get working alone, what I can't, what technology I can interface with, what data even makes sense. Yes, I'm familiar with the many tentacles that organizations can have. It never does anything but cause problems."

[the_usual_stuff]

"I see," he glanced around; within the shrine, it was dim and dark with no light, though there was no dust lying on the floor or walls. "Well, there are quite a lot of you; everyone here wants their agendas fulfilled one way or another. Problems are be expected, right?"

[electricyousei]

"Perhaps. Though with me its just finding something to do to pass the time in a useful fashion. I'm not very good at being idle."

She shrugs a bit and pulls out a flashlight from her pack.

"Its dark in there, perhaps you should take this?"

[the_usual_stuff]

Since Pharos is inside the shrine itself, and cannot see through the walls, he doesn't know exactly what she is offering. He backed up to the doorway and turned around to look.

"Take what... ?"

[electricyousei]

"My flashlight. It looks rather dark and you don't want to get hurt, right?"

[the_usual_stuff]

Oh right, the object in her hand; the flashlight, he could see it now. Pharos shook his head lightly in refusal. "I am accustomed to darkness, so don't be worried."

[electricyousei]

"Ah, I see. Sometimes I forget people here are radically different from home many times."

[the_usual_stuff]

"That's understandable!" Pharos chuckled, and retreated from the doorway to back inside the shrine. The tug of this place was gone, but he remained curious enough.

[electricyousei]

"Are you going to be all right here?"

[the_usual_stuff]

"Mm? Yes," he reassured her. It wasn't like very many of the demons had the balls to go near, let alone attack an aspect of Death. Pharos parroted back; "Are you going to be alright out there?"

[electricyousei]

"I should be. Generally speaking the demons find me uninteresting. I think they may get sustenance from emotions so I'm not a very satisfying meal."

Or belief. Belief was a motivating factor just as much as fear or any human emotion was.

Pharos nodded, his voice echoing slightly in the empty room of the shrine. "Aha, is that so? Good for you."

"Is it? It always just seemed to be a thing, neither good nor bad."

She shrugged a bit.

"Oh. Did demons in your world always find you an unsatisfying meal?"

He had very quiet footsteps inside the shrine.

"There are no demons in my world. Well, no real ones."
