When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

[Footsteps? Vanellope remains calm, pulling the knob on the tap to keep the root beer flowing. She cups her hands under the stream, back facing Gale.

That is, until she spins around throws root beer at him. She glitches with the rush of fear and excitement.]

Unfortunately for Vanellope, 'think fast' for Gale means he's turned into Vayu in the blink of an eye and his jaw snaps at the thrown root beer, of course biting through the liquid. He looked quite dumbfounded after that, not feeling any worse for wear aside from the strange taste in his mouth.

Vanellope screams at the giant set of jaws in front of her, racing for the storage closet so she can shut herself inside.]

Oops. Well, if you hadn't surprised him like that...

Vayu reverts to Gale and he goes to knock on the door. "I am not a monster," he says calmly.

"You're trying to trick so I'll come out and you can gobble me up!" She replies, her words muffled by the door. "You're gonna chew me up and-" She glitches out from behind the door in reaction to her fear. "Swallow me in one gulp, and Sugar Rush will lose its lovable, charming president, and...and..."

Oh hey.

Don't worry about it.

Sugar Rush? President? And dammit child, stop making Gale hungry.

"Why did you attack me? I was only defending myself."

"I'm a helpless little girl! It's called self-defense! And no offense or anything but if you wanna say hi to someone, you don't quietly sneak up on them from behind like a ninja."

Since the guy is human again, she is no longer in 'scream and flee' mode.

"Forgive me. I was simply curious. I have never seen a... 'child' before."

"You've never seen a kid before? What, did you hatch from an egg fully grown or something?" Or at least have a backstory that said he was one? That's kind of baffling.

Gale pondered that for a long minute, frowning. "I..."

White. White everywhere, all over him. The uniform, a name, 'Gale'.

The rain, the Junkyard.

Serph.

"I..." he touched the bridge of his nose. "I am not sure..."

"I guess it's no big deal. Promise not to eat me and you can stick around, alright?" Vanellope isn't the type to pry, and accepts the explanation. If she asked Pac Man or someone like that the same thing, she'd probably baffle them too. Or get a weird response.

"I do not eat children." That seemed like a good rule.

"That's a good start, yeah. If you want to get on kids' good sides, keep those chompers put away." She wanders towards behind one of the bars to find a big metal sink, bottles of soap, towels, and tons of glass mugs. She pulls one of the mugs off the shelf and returns to the same keg she used earlier to fill it.

"Here, drink this."

"What is it?" Gale asked as he took the mug and sniffed it.

"It's only the best drink in the whole wide world." And she probably wouldn't like it so much if not for her own 'comrade'. "Go on, try it!"

Since the drink did not smell poisonous, Gale took a sip of it. It was strange, very sweet, and kind of refreshing. Strangely, it made him want to drink more to quench his thirst.

"Odd," he said after finishing the mug. "I drink, but I am more thirsty." And the feel of so much sugar on his tastebuds was really strange for a man used to military rations, flesh, and blood.

"That probably means you love it! It's called root beer." Vanellope has been around sugar since she was programmed, so she somehow has a natural means to know her sugary limits. "Go on, have some more!"

Gale looked at his mug again. "This is beer?" Shouldn't he be starting to feel intoxicated?

"Root beer."

She's never had actual beer.

"Why is it not beer if it is called root beer?" Do not comprehend.

"Beats me! I just know it tastes good after a long day of racing." Vanellope decides to get a glass for herself.

"I wonder where Tapper is...and Ralph..."

"Racing? Tapper? Ralph?" Stop confusing poor Gale.

Nope, kids are supposed to be confusing. It's in their nature.

"Yeah, this is Tapper's bar!" Vanellope's energy fades for a moment. "...And Ralph's supposed to be in here drinking root beer...talking to him."

Gale detects sadness. "I am sorry. They are your comrades?"

"Yeah. I didn't think I'd miss everyone that much. I just wanted to get back so they wouldn't pull the plug on us, but I want to see everyone too."

She sips her root beer, then wipes the foam off of her lips with her sleeve.
