When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

[ With all the new monsters and buildings appearing, the Thirteenth Hour has become an even better time to level grind explore and train. With the impending tournament and the possible threat of the Anoli at that time, it only makes sense to Minato to train and grow as comfortable as possible with his three personas. He does wonder, however, if it might not be advisable to try and find a way into the Velvet Room to try to fuse a stronger one or two by then...

Still, there's no knowing when he'll next have a chance to visit, so there is nothing for it but to work on training.

When battles go well, a strange smile steals across his face - the thrill of the adrenaline, of being in the thick of the action like this, is strong. It's nice, in a way, to really get back into the swing of fighting monsters with his personas...

Of course, destruction isn't all they're good for, and when he or anyone he runs into is hurt, he will week to heal them with the warm glow of a Diarahan from Messiah - or even a Recarm, if someone has had the misfortune of falling unconscious... ]

Later in the week, Minato will find Rise very carefully stalking monsters and scanning them throughout the city.

"Ooh, this one's weak to Ice! Let's go, Jack Frost!"

The antenna-headed support Persona that was helping her out is traded for the little blue Mascot, who proceeds to knock down the unfortunate Monoeye with an Ice attack.

Hearing Rise call out, mentioning a particular monster's weakness, is incredibly useful, but hearing her voice also worries Minato a bit, because didn't she say something about having a support Persona? Fuuka would have been vulnerable to shadow attacks on her own, so it stands to reason that even with a secondary persona, Rise might be the same, so he hurries towards the sound of her voice. He rounds a corner in time to see that knock down, but without a party it's not possible to do an All-Out-Attack! and lifts his Evoker.

"Pale rider," he calls, and death on a white horse appears, calling down a second ice spell to finish that Monoeye off.

"Thanks! I think I had that one, though..." Rise said, not ungratefully, as Minato's Persona finished off her target.

"Oh, hey! Minato-kun, right?" she asked. She hadn't met the guy in person before, but that look of his was pretty distinctive.

c: well it's not like you haven't been busy

"Ah, yes. Sorry, I think it's habit now when I hear someone shout out a weakness..." He smiles a little sheepishly.

[celebrity_commentator]

"Well, I'm pretty sure my friends are whipped into shape to follow my advice, so it stands to reason that'd apply to other people who've done this before," she said, playfully. "And why have a support persona otherwise, right?"

[fools_journey]

"Ah - exactly." Glancing around for any other monsters nearby, he shifts his sword to rest it on his shoulder, tilting his head at her. "Well, on the subject of habit - want some backup while we're both here?"

[celebrity_commentator]

"That'd be great," she admitted with a smile. "I've been trying to ambush single monsters here, but it's going kind of...slow."

[not_a_leviathan]

[Lev's not interested in the tournament at all, and has made a decision to stay away from it, but that doesn't mean that he's not going to train his Persona. He hides behind Zadkiel as it tears through the lower level aggressive demons. He's not interested in attacking anything that doesn't attack him first. He carries a baseball bat, and attacks anything that gets close with a near-perfect swing.]

[Neither his Persona nor his bat can prepare him for getting smacked from behind by a Lizalfos he didn't see coming, though. He falls to the ground, stunned for a moment.]

[ Luckily, the kid is not alone on the streets tonight, and another older teen catches sight of the Lizalfos in the process of knocking Lev down. It would be awful not to help someone who needed it, so Minato hurries closer, calling forth Messiah to attack the monster with its shining blade both as a distraction and an attempt to get rid of it before it could hurt Lev. The Lizalfo snarls as it rounds upon its more immediate threat, and Minato takes the opportunity to stop and adjust his stance with his sword, directing Messiah to heal Lev while Minato does his best to parry the Lizafo's blows. ]

[He rolls to the side, and summons Zadkiel for a Gale Slash while Minato's occupying its attention. He scrambles to his feet, hefting his baseball bat again to smash the monster in the head.]

[The lizardman went down, crumpling to the ground.]

... Thanks.

No problem... You okay?

[ Messiah remains summoned for the moment, just in case another monster comes out to play. And Minato lowers his sword, watching Lev with curiosity and concern. ]

... Yeah. I'm fine. I'm just more used to running than fighting.

[But if he wants to be able to protect himself better, he has to fight, right? ... Maybe he should have asked for help, but trusting someone enough to know that they have your back is hard.]

[fools_journey]

I see.

... do you want someone to stick with you for a bit? I'm more used to fighting than running, so... maybe I can help.

[ He mostly just ran way from The Reaper... ]

[not_a_leviathan]

[... Don't mind the slightly suspicious stare, Minato. He's just trying to figure you out. But eventually his gaze softens, and he nods.]

I'd... appreciate it.

[He isn't the only one who wouldn't mind going to the Velvet Room right about now. She and her friends have already taken a look at where they'll likely be during the tournament. What's left is to train, and with Eudora maxed out, she's focusing more on Tatsu Blaze's skills instead.

So when she noticed a few Shadows that, going by simply common sense, seemed weak to Fire, she decided she might as well practice instead of using her own.]

Maragion. [...Well, it knocked them down at least. One day she will get used to this.]

[ Knocked them down, eh? Time for an All Out Attack--!

... except that unfortunately they're not in a party, so maybe that's not what happens.

But in any event, Minato isn't far away, and he sees the flare of flames and the monsters fall, and clearly it is an opportune moment to step in and help finish them off. So he does, calling forth Yamato-no-Orochi to level Deathbound on the monsters, hopefully eliminating them.

He also hopes Aqua doesn't mind.]

[Well, they could certainly form one. They both were focusing on fighting the monsters and Shadows, so why not?

Aqua blinks when she sees the eight-headed serpent (at least, she thinks it's eight; that's a lot of heads and is making her glad she never saw the Hydra), not to mention its attack that left most of the monsters defeated. Looking for the source of the ticking wasn't too hard, either, and she smiles when she sees who it is.]

[Well, guess she'll just finish them off with another Maragion, then. Doesn't look like she minded too much.]

[ Suddenly new party members!

Minato smiles back a little, giving her a bit of a salute with his Evoker. There is no blood, despite the icon's suggestion. ]

Hey. ... having fun?

[ Because obviously fighting monsters is fun. ]

[Oh come on now, you don't have to salute her with the Evoker. (Thank this world for letting her know what it is.)]

Yeah. Almost like old times, really.

[It is fun sometimes, even if only for nostalgia and not duty.]

[ Yes he does. He doesn't have a free hand to wave. ]

Do a lot of monster fighting back home?

[And of course, what kind of 13th Hour would it be, without Ryoji wandering around? He doesn't really feel like he's in danger all that often, when he's here, so Minato might just catch him walking somewhere.

Into an alley, into a building... the only thing that really gives it away as Ryoji, is the fluttering of his yellow scarf, following behind him into someplace he's exploring. Is it really safe for him to wander around out here... ?

... Probably! But, even so, wanna check it out, Minato?]

[ A very poor one! Ryoji wandering around just screams trouble, though - at least during the extra hour, and when Minato catches sight of that scarf tail, he is certain to follow. ]
