When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

[That would require Asem having already awoken his Persona. He hasn't done that yet.]

Run! Other way!

[Asem turns and runs one way down the street.]

Why does it like me so much?!

[Atsuro doesn't even look up, preferring to be unaware of his possible impending doom as he follows Asem. There is a heavy thud behind him and then the familiar sound of something monstrous scuttling along the ground.]

Where to?!

[second_destiny]

You take the lead! Find a place it can't reach, like inside a building or down an alley!

[Asem drops back. He pulls out his gun, and begins firing upon the Wallmaster.]

[otakuro]

[The gunshots are enough to cause the scuttling Wallmaster to jerk back and pause, though Atsuro doesn't care to glance back and see if Asem's strategy is working. After a few shots, it becomes clear as to how it had escaped the grenade blast earlier. During a momentary lull in the shooting, the creature simply melts into its own shadow.

Perhaps Asem ought to be wary of shadows above his head himself. ...Now where had Atsuro run off to?]

[second_destiny]

[Shadows, eh? Well, Asem certainly had something that could dissipate shadows. A few seconds later, the bright light of a flashbang erupted from the middle of the street, and Asem ran off in the direction he had last seen Atsuro going.]

[otakuro]

[That was certainly a new strategy. Nothing comes screeching or writhing into the light, but perhaps the Wallmaster had been incapacitated, nonetheless.

Asem will find Atsuro catching his breath round about a few more corners. He wasn't terribly in shape after the months he had spent lounging around Hinoto-Ri.]

Haah... Is it gone...? Geez, thanks again...

I think so. I noticed it liked shadows, so I guessed it hated light. There wasn't any sign of it after I used a flashbang.

[otakuro]

Aha... Well, thanks! And sorry about that.

[Atsuro looks slightly embarrassed as he stands up straight.]

I guess it's been a while since I've been surprised like that. ...Running away doesn't usually accomplish much.

[second_destiny]

Eh, depends. It helps if you know where you're going. And just look at wars. Knowing when to withdraw helps win wars.

[otakuro]

I was thinking more on the 'defeating giant spider-things that drop from the sky' scale.

[Atsuro passes this off light-heartedly, though the conversation was brushing closer to a sensitive subject.]

Anyway... That's not the only new thing that's been skulking around out there. You've noticed, right?

[second_destiny]

[Asem nods.]

It would be harder to not notice it. Both the number and the number of types of demons have spiked. The past couple days, I barely made it to my bed because I was so exhausted.

[otakuro]

Hey, don't push yourself too hard! We don't have to go out and fight every night - you'll wear yourself out if something big like the scorpion thing happens again.

[second_destiny]

I wasn't expecting it to be this bad, that's all. I can pace myself.

[otakuro]

Alright...

[Atsuro doesn't look wholly convinced but gives a shrug.]

We probably shouldn't work too hard for practical reasons, too - I doubt think they'll stop coming until we find the source.

[second_destiny]

Yeah, but if we do that, then it's all over. So it's not gonna be that easy.

[otakuro]

Aha... Well. Finding the source doesn't necessarily mean we can take care of it that quickly, either...

[Although who knew what miracles a giant robot would bring to the field.]

I think I've just about exhausted the 'research' strategy at this point. It might be a good idea just to... poke around everywhere we can.

[second_destiny]

Only if you've got some backup. Digging too far is something really easy to do when you do that.

[otakuro]

[Atsuro pats something in his pocket.]

Don't worry about me too much. I keep my backup on me at all times.

Not that it's not a bad idea to go out in groups, of course.

[second_destiny]

It's a good idea no matter what.

[otakuro]

In the end, I guess we've really just got to rely on each other.

...Uh. Like tonight, hah.

[second_destiny]

That's how it should be. People need to trust in and protect each other. That's how we progress.

[otakuro]

[Atsuro would insert something about the strength of humanity, etc., etc., but he was still a little shaken to be too enthusiastic. He responds with a nod instead and an amiable smile.]

...Well.

I was going around documenting all the new places that have appeared here. I think I'm going to keep taking a look around. You wanna come, or you have other plans?

Are you sure? You think you've got enough energy for that?

[otakuro]

Ahah... I mean, it's not like I actually got hurt or anything. I just ran a lot..
