When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

[Whether he expected it or not, there's a teen calling out a response to his words from his perch on a low wall.]

Haa... That's what everybody seems to be saying these days!

[He hadn't been expecting it, so he does freeze in place, like a deer in headlights, before turning toward the sound and...ah, that's not someone he knows.]

O-oh, um, yeah...it really does seem like I'm not the only one, though some people seem to be enjoying their buildings. Not so much for me...

Does it hold bad memories for you?

[There's a long pause, and he turns away, frowning.]

You could say that.

I wonder what's up with that? Earlier there was a guy who was upset because of a store that came here.

So, what was it for you?

[Another long pause. Sam's hands clench into fists, and he shakes his head, like he doesn't want to talk about it.]

Someone who worked there once did something very bad to me.

[His tone softens a midge, but he's not going to stop asking questions quite yet.]

Worked there? So was it a business or something?

What, did they take all your money and leave you destitute or something?

Yeah, it was he headquarters for one of the most important companies in the world. If you had any technological product, from a computer to a blender to cell phones and anything in between, chances are, it belonged to a company that Daemoniac Inc. owned.

[A laugh.] I wish.

Daemoniac Inc, huh? [Wow, that's... certainly a name.]

They didn't force you into indentured servitude, did they? Threaten to kill the rest of your family if you didn't comply?

[Now he's just being silly.]

Oh, no, none of those things. The job was nice. My family wasn't threatened.

[No, she wasn't at all, really, it was a surprise when he returned home to find his sister like that...]

Really...it's more complicated than that.

Complicated? Sounds like you've got a real story to tell!

[He slides off of the wall, hitting the ground with only a small grunt.]

You looked like you were on your way somewhere. Maybe we could keep talking on the way?

[Plus, moving would probably be better than staying sitting ducks for wandering demons.]

You say that as if I want to tell it.

[He sighs and looks away. Ugh, if only he could be by himself...but he could totally use this kid as a shield if worse comes to worse. Overall, not totally a bad idea to take him along.]

I don't see why you would want to, but alright. Sure.

I dunno, from what you've said it sounds like the kind of thing you'd need to get off of your chest! Not that I'm a psychologist or anything, but that's supposed to help the healing process or whatever, isn't it?

[Golly Sam, we are going to run into problems when Hizumi tries to use you for the exact same thing.]

You'd be wrong about that. I don't really want to get it off my chest, so please...stop asking.

[He almost looks angry at that, and he clenches his fists at his sides as he keeps walking forward.]

It's...too painful, alright?

...Fine, I'll let it drop. It's not healthy to pull at these things, either.

...I think? I probably should've looked into psychology more. [Especially after ending up here of all places.]

So! What else can we talk about? Walking in silence would be kind of awkward, yeah?

[He rubs his forehead as he gazes back at Hifumi with a somber expression, before giving him a shrug at his question.]

I don't know. Just anything that's not myself...why don't you tell me abut you?

"Me? There's not too much to tell, really..."

"My name is Hizumi Mizushiro, and I'm from Japan - oh, but not this kind of a Japan. One of the normal ones, without any of that supernatural stuff!" Haha... Right. "Recently I've been traveling with an acquaintance aaaaall around the world. It's been very interesting!"

Really?

[A dubious look.]

You look too young to go on a long journey like hat...who's your acquaintance?

Hey, I'm not that young! Besides, isn't it good to broaden your horizons and see new places?

Anyway, the guy's kind of like... a family acquaintance, I guess? He was going on a trip, so he let me come with. Pretty cool, huh?

I don't know. I've never really seen the point in it.

What, and your family said yes? Your parents must have been eager to let you go...

You should really consider getting out there more. There's a big world to see!

[He gives a nonchalant shrug at the second part.]

Family didn't really factor into it. I wanted to go, so I went.

No, thanks. I've seen enough of it to last a lifetime...

[A long pause.]

You ran away from home, then.

[Now he looks mildly affronted.]

Hey, hey, hey! I'm not such a bad kid that I'd run away from home!

[Ughhh. He explains, but in a tone that makes it clear just how much of a pain it is you had better be grateful Sam.]

I told you, he's a family acquaintance, right? He told my parents about it and they said I could come with if I wanted. [Not that they would have had much of a choice in the matter, assuming Kiyotaka really did check in with them.

Then again, Hizumi hadn't been in much of a position to disagree, either.]

Huh.

[He didn't know parents were so...open to letting their kids do stuff? But he stares at Hizumi for a while before giving a shrug.]
