When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

[Nano smiles as her friend approaches, excitedly turning on her heels and pointing at the building she's looking at.]

Look! It's the market from home! This is the one I always shop at when I'm buying dinner for the Professor and Sakamoto-san!

[ Yukko slowly looks towards the market, and recognition settles in. ]

Oh! I think I remember this place.

[ She nods her head, walking over next to Nano. She peers inside. ]

What the heck is it doing here though? I don't remember seeing it when I was exploring...!

[It's closed now, but there's enough light shining inside to see that it's definitely the genuine article, or at least a very convincing fake.]

I don't know. I'm sure it wasn't here yesterday. This is the way I always use to walk home.

[ There's a long pause on her part. This is... Really weird. But Yukko tries to rationalize it, waving it off. ]

M - Maybe they were really quick in building it! This place can be very weird you kn-

[ And that's when Yukko decides to turn away from the market and notices the sky.

She takes a step back. ]

... Nano-chaaaaan. [ Bumps on the shoulder. ]

Hmm? What's wrong?

[She slowly looks up, following Yukko's gaze...]

L-Look...

[ Said in a scratchy, high-pitched squeal.

Yukko points to the sky. The strange shapes forming in the sky. The strange, really unnerving tails in the sky.

Yukko had been slumping so far that her head had been practically dragging across the ground, but she's sure she would have noticed those... ]

Yukko-san! Get behind me!

[Nano steps protectively in front of her friend, the Sun Arcana tarot card floating down in front of her as she punches at it to release Chirashizushi, her current Velvet Room Persona. If Yukko reads Helvetica Standard at all, she'll probably recognize this one.]

(ooc: you picking something from the bestiary for them to fight, or do you just want this to be sort of generic for purposes of getting Yukko's Persona out?)

Nano! What the heck is going - !!

[ Yukko jumps back when a card floats before Nano. She looks on at the wisps in the air, seeing them slowly growing into shapes. They're approaching very quickly!!

Hey, isn't that that one girl from that one comic? This is really weird. ]

(Ooc: Let's just keep it generic! They can fight alongside each other for real later! )

Chirashizushi!

[Nano confidently calls out her Persona's name, and it obediently flaps its wings, sending a gust of air cascading toward the enemies as they descend from the sky. Unfortunately, these particular demons happen to be resistant to wind damage, so they shrug it off and continue their downward descent toward the two girls.]

W-what...! It's not working!

[ She has no idea what Nano and that cartoon girl where trying to do but it doesn't look like it worked! She grits her teeth, holding her heads to her head! She starts looking around, her breath becoming labored. This is. This is bad. ]

Nano! What do we do?! S-Should we run?!

[all_wound_up]

Yukko-san! Call your Persona!

[Nano, unfortunately, isn't quite aware that her friend hasn't managed to awaken hers yet. The pair of demons dive at Nano, raking their claws across her arms. The robot girl lets out a yell as the attack tears into her artificial flesh, though mercifully her natural construction affords her more defense than the average person on the street against physical attacks.]

My what?!

[ She remembers this guy with the weird face telling her about this person that was inside her, and she can't remember what he was talking about apart from saving the world and that he had called her a Fool! A Fool!! Oh wow she had forgotten that! What a jerk!

Personas, Personas... Yukko knows what they are. People like her get them. But she doesn't have one of those. She's been here a month and she doesn't have one. ]

A Persona? I don't... have a Persona, Nano!

[ She closes her eyes in frustration. Nano never spoke to her about this whole persona business. Yukko didn't even know she had one! And if Nano could get one... no, Nano is a robot! That makes her special! Yukko isn't special at all! She's just some girl! Why the hell did that mash-faced jerk bring Yukko here? Did he just need a dumb, stupid, pin-brained cheerleader?

Yukko forces herself out of her daydream when she hears Nano yell. ]

Nannooooo!

[ Yukko jumps back but then reaches out to stop Nano from falling. It doesn't matter if Nano is a robot and could easily take an attack from a demon bird. They attacked her, and Nano is her friend! Yukko begins to hyperventilate! She had to do something, but the best she could come up with is trying to fruitlessly push the torn artificial flesh back in like a really morbid puzzle. ]

Nano, we have to run! There's too many of - Gah!

[ Yukko lets out a yelp. The demons figure that divebombing them would take too much effort. They fly right over them and flutter about, flapping their wings and squawking, snaping their beaks at the two like an annoying pack of seagulls. Yukko holds onto Nano with her one arm and tries to swat them away with the other. ]

[all_wound_up]

Yukko-san...! No!

[It isn't that Nano doesn't appreciate being shielded by her best friend, but she knows that without a Persona, she isn't going to last very long against these things. And it looks like the birds can fly faster than they can run. It's not a good situation for either of them.]

Chirashizushi, please, help!

[Nano's desperate cry is met with a burst of healing energy from the little angel as a Mediarama spell washes over the two of them, the gashes from the demons' claws closing up within mere seconds. Unfortunately, though, if they can't run and all Nano can do is heal, all she's really doing is buying them time.]

Y-you can do it too, Yukko-san! You really can! I didn't believe in myself either, but...

[She lets out another yell as the birds attack again, interrupted mid-thought. Of course, that just makes the next thing she says come out all the louder.]

...I believe in you!

[ Her body goes numb. How strange is that? Time seems to stand still for her, stopping just as Nano yells out to her. And even though things slowed to a stop, there was a voice speaking.

Thou art I, and I am thou--

She has heard that voice somewhere. It sounds so familiar! Yukko feels her breath catch in the back of her throat as power begins to well in her chest. Like a heavy crack in a dam, energy begins to rush into her chest. A powerful force flashes above her, like a stage light, hovering just above her.

She gasps loudly and then -

WOAH. Is this real?! ]

U-Uuuh - P - PERSONA!

[ The bluish energy begins to flow from the ground and a blue, towering dragon appears in front of her. With a giant roar, it sends a beam of ice straight at the birds. A direct hit!!! A huge chunk of the flock disappears in a shimmering snowy cloud. The rest of the demons seem just as surprised as Yukko. ]

Nano!

[ She starts jumping from foot to foot, clapping her hands together. Woah what just happened? She clutches her friend's shoulder ]

Nano did you see that? Did you see that?!

[all_wound_up]

[Nano was busily bracing herself for impact, and the next thing she knows there's a shower of ice colliding with the demons that were about to finish them off. All she can do is kneel there for a few moments, blinking and staring in disbelief at the sight before her, before she's roused back to alertness by Yukko's celebration.]

Y-Yukko-san...! You did it! You really did it!

[Laughing in relief, Nano leaps to her feet and hugs her friend tightly, jumping up and down with her.]

You saved us both!
