When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

Well, there's my telekinesis. I can also create the barriers you saw, and jump a lot farther than most normal people.

[She'll... leave the memory erasing and resurrecting the dead thing out for now.]

And where do all those powers come from?

They come from the Dragon Stream. Demons began to attack my city, and in doing so they disrupted the Dragon Stream... As a result, a few people, including my friends and I, were given power from it.

[It's... still strange, explaining it to someone who is not involved in that particular mess, but she just has to accept that things are different here, and there isn't any real point in hiding it anymore.]

Sounds kind of like a superhero origin story. But, um. What's the Dragon Stream? I've never heard of anything like that before.

Is it really? [She doesn't watch a whole lot of TV or read comics, so she wouldn't know.]

The Dragon Stream... I suppose you could consider it a stream of power. When demons are summoned and chaos is caused, it causes disruptions in the stream like the one that granted our powers.

[Forgive her, it's a bit difficult to explain.]

Based on what I know. I'm not much of a comic book reader, but I know about the origins of some superheroes. Usually the ones not born with their powers get them through some act of chance or a freak accident.

A stream of power...what, you mean like the heat in the Earth's mantle or something? Or tectonic energy, maybe?

[Forgive him, he's a sci-fi protagonist.]

Not quite. It's a little more... spiritual than that.

I wonder if I can explain it...

It's... tied with spirituality as well. Reciting Buddhist chants can channel the power beyond the abilities it awakens in you, if you know how.

Really? I've never heard of anything like that happening. But I haven't been to eastern or southeastern Asia yet, so maybe that's why.

Is that so? Where are you originally from, Asuno?

[Her guess would be American, since her teacher has similar features blond and blue eyes are American right but she's too polite to come out and say it.]
