When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

"Huh..."

Atsuro considers that for a few moments.

"I... don't actually know. That would mean they should put guards around during the day, but as far as I know, people still use it to go hiking and stuff. It's an interesting idea..."

[bondsofsuffering]

"So nobody's checked that out? Then again, I guess it'd be pretty tough to do."

His gaze turns upwards as he thinks about it.

"...I don't know where else you could end up if you decided to try sticking it out through the thirteenth hour. I mean, it sounds a little too convenient for it to just teleport you to another place where you would be safe."

[otakuro]

"I have a feeling they clear people off when it gets closer to the 13th Hour. ...Although I'm sure someone gets lost on the mountain sometimes."

Atsuro frowns for a moment or two.

"Maybe you'd just... fall off the mountain when it turned into all those weird gears and stuff."

[bondsofsuffering]

"Or some daredevil kids could sneak up there to get out of the curfew. No matter how dangerous you say a place is, somebody's gonna think it would be a great idea to check it out anyway." Ah, humanity.

"I wanna say that sounds far-fetched, but then again we're talking about a mountain that turns into a weird city... thing. I guess that could be possible."

[otakuro]

"Or...." Atsuro gives a small shrug. "They just don't let us know when people get lost inside. I mean... it's not like they can get in to find out, either, right? Missing persons reports don't do much, either - they figure you got killed by a demon and eaten or something."

[bondsofsuffering]

"There's a lot of ways for people to go missing here... I mean, that kind of thing can already happen without having to worry about demons. Wonder what the rate of disappearances must be like..."

He looks thoughtful for a moment before giving a shrug of his own.

"Well, it can't be helped I guess! No matter how much effort we put into helping, there's no way we can possibly save everyone from any little thing. We just have to focus on the bigger picture - like the falling buildings!"

Wait, what?

[otakuro]

"..."

Atsuro automatically cranes his neck up towards the sky.

"Wait, what, are they still coming down?!"

[bondsofsuffering]

"Not right now. Or that I can see, anyway." He looks faintly amused.

"But we don't know if that's the end of them, do we?"

[otakuro]

"Oh. ...Yeah, I'm sure more will show up later when we get more people coming in. They're buildings connected to us, right?"

[bondsofsuffering]

"Yeah, like that one store. Junes or something?" All these weird places with names based on the months. "I talked to the guy who it was probably brought for. I wonder how connected you have to be to a place for it to qualify?"

[otakuro]

"We're not going around looking for banks you've been in before, Hizumi..."

Atsuro is probably just teasing, though he manages a serious-enough sounding sigh.

[bondsofsuffering]

"That's a shame. I could probably get a lot of money out of them!"

He gives his own super serious sounding sigh.

[otakuro]

"What, by robbing them?"

Atsuro gives Hizumi a shrug.

"There probably aren't any hard rules on that or anything... Just whatever this place feels like."

He considers briefly which buildings are connected to him, if any, and realizes that the only places of interest in life are his apartment building and his school. Alas.

[bondsofsuffering]

"...If it turns out to be a copy, it doesn't technically count as stealing, right?"

Honestly Atsuro, you're doing better than Hizumi is in terms of places of interest. Hospitals aren't any fun at all!

[otakuro]

"...I think it just means you stole something that wasn't worth anything. Stealing is still stealing."

[bondsofsuffering]

"But it's not like any of them would be around to miss it!"

[otakuro]

"Well..."

OK he had a point.

"As long as you have the intent of using it for something worthwhile I guess."

Because that totally means anything.

[bondsofsuffering]

"Feeding a jobless teenager stuck in an unfamiliar world is a worthwhile cause, right?"

Because he'd totally use it only for survival, yes.

[otakuro]

"Oh, hey, I hear they have openings at the library. I can submit an application for you."

[bondsofsuffering]

"...Are you seriously that desperate to get me to go?"

[otakuro]

"But you know so much about Jung! ....And that kind of thing."

[bondsofsuffering]

"I don't have to work there to go. I've already paid it a couple of visits in my spare time."

[otakuro]

"Really?"

A short pause.

"Hey, I've got a list of subjects I think we can all benefit from knowing - why don't you see if you can find any books on the topics the next time you go? It's just a few dozen.."

[bondsofsuffering]

Congrats Atsuro, you get to listen to a whiny Hizumi!

"No way, do your own research! If you're so interested, it shouldn't be so hard to make your own time to visit!" He crosses his arms, shaking his head childishly. "Sheesh, what am I supposed to be, a scholar or something?"

[otakuro]

"Don't you want them to sing praises to Hizumi the Hero of Research? It has a nice ring to it, don't you think?"

Atsuro is obviously teasing at this point as he turns to give his companion a grin.
