Conquestum Paradisi

What: Closing Arena Ceremonies, Part 2
Where: Aries Arena & Televised
Summary: 1/24/10AC
Warnings: This could get serious...but who knows.

Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.

He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

Riku had just shook his head at the major's speech - it really, really was just provoking something to happen, when they should consider themselves lucky that so far everything had gone fine.

He can feel his blood freeze when something does happen, lips pressing together as he listens to that speech.

He doesn't say a word, doesn't so much as remove his right hand from his cloak pocket and curl it into a grip, silver starlight mixing with a dark shimmer as Way to the Dawn settles in his hand, the bad feeling in his gut intensifying.

Something is coming and he is not planing to be hit unaware.

'They cloaked themselves until the last second.'

It came mentally as his fellow Keyblade Master was hidden in plain sight, somewhere higher as her sniping platform and herself remained invisible to the naked eye. The speech, both from the mayor and from the leader of the Anoli, was like warning bells for someone like her. Someone who saw the world nearly end once before, who had theirs destroyed and heard the insane ramblings of both sides.

'I'll take to the air. Are you ready?'
