Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.

He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

Yosuke stares up at the monitor with a look of shock in his expression. What the hell?

"Oh goddamnit, of course they do it at the last possible second!"

What was that dumb mayor thinking, egging them on like that? Of course something like this was bound to happen. He barely listens to the Anoli's speech itself- frankly, he doesn't give a shit- and instead is preparing himself for battle, whipping his kunai out and slipping his glasses on.

Yu had to give his best friend a bit of a smirk at that, slipping on his glasses as well.

"...sounds more like a bad movie."

"This whole situation reeks of bad drama." Yosuke just smirks back. "You ready, partner?"

Yu gave a nod; oh Yosuke, you're an awesome friend. He doesn't even need to say he's counting on him; it goes without saying.

"Be careful. Don't take any unnecessary risks."

Yosuke nods back. "I've got you and the others to help out. It'll be alright."

If only he knew how wrong that statement was.
