Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.

He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

Yu stood from his seat, his hand falling onto the hilt of his sword, but he didn't know what they were supposed to do. If they acted in defense of the mayor, they'd just be proving the Anoli right. If they did nothing... then who knew what would happen, what they would do?

He paused, looking around for his companions. At the most, if things went to hell, they were going to need to step up and help the innocent people stuck here.

Rise stood herself, looking around and trying to figure out what, exactly, to do. She wasn't following the speechmaker's logic, but then again, everything here was pretty weird. Seeing her leader just as confused, though...

"That didn't really sound like a peaceful speech. Regardless of what that guy said, we have to protect people, right?" she asked.

Yu gave a nod.

"Protecting the other spectators takes priority," Yu stated. "Don't take any unnecessary risks, and don't instigate any fights unless it's to defend yourself or someone else."

He paused, glancing back to Rise. Of everyone, he was worried about her the most. She was never in direct combat; she was the backup, their support. She didn't even have a weapon. He wanted to tell her to evacuate with the other people, but he already knew what her response to that would be.

And she, of course, had learned how to read even Captain Lineface by now. She shook her head.

"Don't even think about it, Senpai. I'm sticking with you guys. Besides, I know something about playing to crowds if we need to start herding people."

Yu smiled faintly at that.

"Of course. I'll be counting on you."

Yu is the first one she sought when the signs of trouble began. Naturally. She isn't entirely sure what was even going on but she figured her companions would know. Either way it didn't look good. When she found him she's at his side immediately.

"Senpai, what on earth is going on?"

"We're about to be attacked," Yu replied simply. He paused, glancing down at her and offering a faint smile, though how seriously he was taking the situation was obvious. "We'll need to protect as many as we can."
