Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.

He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

She follows after obediently, wands at the ready and a giant smile pretty much stuck to her face.

"This is probably the most fun I've had in a long while, heh. Nice shot, by the way."

Hitsuji was almost giddy on adrenaline, a happy bounce in her step-- one can only imagine what people would think seeing such a young girl masked like the rest of the Anoli.

"Thank you," He said with a touch of joking pride in his voice, doing a small half-bow as he moved for effect.

"Y'think this is fun? If your old man lets you outta that gaudy apartment, there'll be plenty more where this came from!"

She giggles giddily, amused by Spades; rarely did she ever laugh and smile, but this man and his brother somehow managed to do it surprisingly often. It was a welcome change from her depressing and angry life back in her home world, where she had no freedom or friends.

At the mention of her caretaker, she sticks out her tongue with displeasure. "Blegh. He better, he said he would let me out more often here! I am sick of that dumb ass room with its condescending little girl decorations..."

"Sounds mildly more stuffy than our place." Which is to say nothing about how Spades decorated his own living arrangements at least.

"Don't worry, I've broken into more heavily guarded places--" probably not things you should be talking about in public, though then again you've already murdered a guy-- "Worse comes to we can whisk you away. Just say something about Leader's orders or whatever."

Hitsuji snorts, staring up at his masked face. "While we're at it, let's invent a way so I can wear some jeans every once in a while-- tell him Leader demands 'Casual Fridays' or something. Any time he catches me trying to go out in anything but 'proper attire' I end up poofed back into my room in a skirt and suspenders." She pauses. "Today excluded, of course. This is kind of different."

"I never did get the whole suspenders look." It seemed to be more and more common in their ranks though.

He stopped at a corner wall, staying a minute to check the current state of the chaos, and watch some grunt pistol whip a security officer.

"You can't go around on the field with skirts and suspenders, that's just impractical! Maybe we can hook y'up with at least some pants. Imagine if you were out here is some posh pilgrim dress."

"He wears them too, under his jacket. It's so dumb!" He being her caretaker, of course.

She pauses along side him, eyeing the chaos around them curiously. Preferably, as far as the plan went, they were supposed to try and get out of here without any issue. But what would be the fun in that? Fighting was gonna be the best part! A lot of the Visitors needed to get a load of common sense kicked into them at any rate, and she figured they would be a good pair for the deed.

"I know, right? At the very least I'd end up flashing the general populace the moment I tried to dodge an attack." She sighs, crossing her arms over her chest. "It wasn't as much of an issue back home when his ass was the only one I was kicking, but now it's just inconvenient and unsightly."

Common sense was his favorite thing to kick into people! That and the heel of his boot, but it was basically one in the same down the line.

"Now that's just a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen," He added, on the topic of both the skirt and the suspenders. Seriously, if you went into battle with those, you were just asking for it. "Maybe one more proverbial ass-kicking and I'm sure we can persuade. And if not, there's always other forms of sneaking and trickery!"

He is acting way too excited about common jokes right now.

"It's pretty hard to trick him when he knows everything..." She pauses, eyes darting towards the area of the stands she knew her caretaker was located, before continuing carefully and quietly. "But between you and me, I don't think he has nearly as much power here. He still tries to act like he knows everything I'll do, but I've caught him unawares a couple of times since we've arrived." Hitsuji grins smugly.
