Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.

He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

On some level, Io recognized the validity of certain things put forward. The other side of the seemingly impenetrable barrier was a mystery to all the Guests and possibly all but the most important normal citizens. But with the government keeping a vital lock on any information they had, both as they had done just now and as they may or may not have done before, the "truth" was unattainable.

This man, she recognized, was like Ronaldo, seeking to overthrow the established "order". But whereas that man had wanted a society of equality, this one wanted a society of freedom, and on some level this was more appealing.

Why, then, would he insist on taking violent action first, just as Ronaldo had? Io knew that this would only cause unnecessary resentment.

While he may have had a point, Kaito wasn't really thinking about that while he was watching along with Io. He didn't say anything either, of course, but there was some movement on his end. While the audience was captivated by what was happening, Kaito was reaching into his pocket.

The fact that he got out his phone should have said what was on his mind, at least to Io.

Honestly-- most of that stuff kind of flew over Daichi's head! He understood a point or two, but it's take a while of thinking and processing for him to really understand what was going on or make a decision.

But that wasn't what mattered right now; it was plainly obvious from the minute the footage was hacked that things were going to get dangerous, and when the guns started firing, Daichi was already standing up while Kaito was pulling out his phone.

"Come on, you guys-- we gotta help get everyone out of here, and fast! People are gonna get hurt or killed!"

The people's lives came first. And they were very well-equipped to handle their protection.

Io draws her phone as well. These people were not leaving without a fight, it sounded like.
