Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.

He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

"There you are, friends!"

Apparently, the thought had been intercepted by Hades somewhere along the way. The god is ways away, dodging and sidestepping shots sent at him. He's waiting for them to get tired and decide to take on others. No reason to give the protagonists less challenges to face.

"I've been looking all over for you. This is exactly the kind of chaos I expected to catch your eye."

"WHAT?"

"Ugh. Ugh. Double ugh."

Viridi's voice releases a groan of soul-weary irritation.

"Of course he's here. 'K, let me deal with Hades; you two get back to your awkward meandering."

[poorfueleconomy]

"Seconding that 'ugh.' As if there weren't enough problems."

She continues with her completely non-awkward, admittedly kind of meandering towards the stage. She's almost there. She appreciates Viridi taking one for the team though.

"Good luck with that."

"What is Hades doing here?" Pit demands. "Why didn't anyone tell me?"

"You never asked, Pitty Pat."

Grabbing a masked Anoli member by the collar, Hades flashes a smile and tosses him over at Palutena.

"Nor for that, but consider it a welcome gift."

[forceofnature]

"How could you not have known?! He was standing on a corner screaming for his minions for like, two hours!"

The Anoli member is suddenly arrested in mid-air and tossed clear out of the stadium. No one ever said the Power of Flight had to be voluntarily used.

Okay, now she feels kind of bad.

"I... thought you knew. Viridi mentioned him to me when I arrived so I just assumed...."

Her apology is almost interrupted by Hades' lovely 'gift' but luckily Viridi was on that.

"Hades, I'd ask whether you had anything better to do, but I'm afraid I'd find out that throwing things at us was actually the highlight of your evening."

She arrives at right side of the stage, all she has to do now is get up there.
