Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.

He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

The girl laughs, brushing her hair back out of her face.

"Good for us, though."

With a wave of a wand, her magic surrounds the bullet Spades was about to shoot, and adds a kick of multi colored magic to the speeding projectile as he shoots. As long as it hit, it should add a more vicious bite than it would've had previously.

The bullet hit Sasha right in the shoulder.

With a cry of pain, she abruptly stopped in her tracks. Her hand slowly went to her shoulder, and her face paled visibly. She had never felt that kind of pain in her life. She was mostly used to taking magical blows, not physical ones, so this... certainly didn't help matters. Clutching her shoulder, she stepped back and tried to gather her bearings. Was that blood now? She was feeling a little woozy. Good job, Sasha. Way to bite off more than you can chew.

Spades lowers his gun and waits a moment, as if he's expecting something else. Eventually though, she didn't even make a move, and he lets out a breath of air again to a laugh. "Is that all?"

He teleports in front of Sasha, bending his leg up to knee her just below the sternum.

"With spirit like that, I would've expected something more exciting."

"Seriously?"

Hitsuji places her hands on her hips, expression clearly unamused at Sasha going down so fast. "She's even worse than that one guy we shot up earlier! At least he tried using his dumb Persona after we capped him!"

Sasha took Spades's knee to the sternum and fell to the ground with a gasp. Spirit, huh? At least they thought she had spirit. And she did, or at least she was damn sure she did! Gritting her teeth, trying to catch her breath, and struggling to ignore the throbbing in her shoulder, she summoned Squirtle once again and sent it flying towards Spades in a Bash attack. "I... will... not..." Will not what? Will not something. "I can't just let you get away with this!" She had to leave at least a mark on them, somehow, even though it was more likely that they were going to get away with what they had done to her and everyone else. Well, going down fighting was better than just whimpering off, so this final resistance had to be good for something!

"You, will not pass?"

Spades doesn't even try to avoid the attack; he simply arched his back and hunched his shoulders to absorb the attack, letting the Squirtle push him back maybe a foot or two.

Well, she'd managed to make contact, but whether he was actually hurt from it was something else entire. In fact, while the Squirtle was pushing him back, he dropped the gun into the pocket of his trenchcoat and pulled a knife out of sleeve, bring it down to slash the Persona in its side.

Hitsuji snerks at Spades' comment and raises one hand, a few scraps of wood rising into the air in kind. She points towards the Persona and lets the scraps fly, several of them impacting into the summoned creature. Hopefully they'd be able to knock this girl out with the pain and move on-- after all, they had bigger fish to fry.

Sasha let out another cry of pain. Just what was this feeling? It felt like something inside her was being torn apart, ravaged. Clutching her chest, she slumped to her knees, woozy with pain. The world seemed to sort of tilt or wobble in front of her, and before she knew it, she had collapsed onto her side. She was still conscious, though, and she was staring at the duo, dumbfounded. What was she supposed to do now? The girl absorbed her primary means of attack, and her Personas were vulnerable to attack and that bizarre pain. She would not pass, indeed...

TEAM ANOLI RUNNING OFF AGAIN

And that seemed to be the end of that.

Spades flipped his dagger around and returned it to some holster in his belt, clapping his hands together as if to brush some dirt off them. "That'll do it. The med team'll pick her up eventually."

Hitsuji nods, stretching to crack her back and let out a soft sigh of content.

"On we go, then."
