Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.

He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

Loken limps towards Hitsuji, and he takes a two-handed grip on the chainsword, swinging it down towards her like an executioner's axe, so much for behind it that even if it hits he'll fall to his knees. That or he's just that exhausted from the beatings and blood loss.
photonicfighter: (Dakki upgrade - ugh)

Flying concrete? Oh. That wasn't expected. But Dakki was prepared to deal with this. She began the motions to twist herself so her feet would plant on one of the larger chunks so she could possibly spring away and make a dignified landing... and then she was being kicked right between the shoulder blades. Spades would see a flash of yellow light, and feel as though his foot had impacted against something softer and less substantial than the armor that Dakki was wearing, but it would have the effect that he wanted. It sent her plowing into all that flung concrete, where she impacted with an audible crunch.

Concrete is totally a ground-based attack. Lightning photons suck at fending those off, and as those are what her armor is powered by.... well.

There's another, less impressive clatter-crunch as Dakki hits the ground. And several seconds of delay as she plants a hand and pushes herself into an unsteady kneeling crouch. Damage warning messages were blaring in her head, but she was determined to ignore them. No major systems were offline, she was fine, just fine, and... and where was Garviel? Lurching madly forwards, trailing blood, swinging that chainsword of his?

She planted a foot and attempted to stand, one hand rising to fire a few more photonic bullets at Hitsuji. Every little bit might help?
