Conquestum Paradisi

☢

What: Closing Arena Ceremonies, Part 2
Where: Aries Arena & Televised
Summary: 1/24/10AC
Warnings: This could get serious...but who knows.

Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.

He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

"Uh..."

Hitsuji looks up at Spades with a puzzled look, deferring to his judgement on whether or not to say anything to this... really ballsy reporter...

For a moment, it seems like Spades is just silently scrutinizing him from under his mask. If his face were visible, it would probably have something of a very "what the hell?" expression.

And then, when he's looking at the mic, he just...starts laughing.

Not even an evil super villain laugh, more like the kind like he just heard a really good joke.

"Hahah-- Oh man, I like you! You got guts, I'll give you that." He pointed at the reporter with his free hand, as he gave a happy chuckle and dropped the reporter back on his feet in front of him.

"Just learn to keep your numbers straight-- alright? That's all I got to say."

He hasn't the least idea what this is supposed to mean, partially because his attention is largely focused on the fact that his knees seem to have melted into goo. The reporter nods blankly at Spades's advice and tries not to sag too much into the floor as he is set on the ground.

Once he's a few yards away, he picks up enough steam to break into a stumble-run.

Behind Hitsuji and Spades, the defunct camera comes back to life in a whir of gears and a flash of light and chases after its owner. Exit scene left.

He had better win the freaking Pulitzer Prize or something for this.
