Warnings: This could get serious...but who knows.
Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.
He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

It didn't hurt. Anant did not feel pain even when their body was pushed to its very limits, but the blasts did shatter his gauntlets, and the sheer backlash from that made the deluded god cry out from disorientation. With a dull 'thud', Anant was sent slamming into the ground, their coat a bit tattered and threadbare from the assault, and glimmers of golden shards glittering on the ruined ground.
Shards that swiftly hissed and spluttered out of existence.
They were still breathing, their eyes open a thin sliver as they glowered at Spades. A strange gurgling noise rumbled in the back of their throat, and they twitched, as if preparing to get back up again before they abruptly stilled. Their eyes unfocused, but they were still watching Spades intently.
Damn. Anant's body was so damaged they had to enter a healing rest. Due to Anant's...condition, they did not sleep, but their body could just shut down and refuse movement until all injuries were healed.
tl;dr, Anant was finally out of the fight.
