What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

Though Shinjiro has been in and out (mostly out) of Minato's hospital room throughout the next day—he has no desire to hang around MInato's shared hospital room when all of Yosuke's fangirls are afoot—Minato will probably be able to do more than just eavesdrop on one of Shinjiro's intimate conversations with his sister if he opens his eyes sometime during the second day's evening. It's during this time that the fans are gone, and many of the doctors are retiring for the night.

He'll be in a chair, sitting next to the tall windows, observing things quietly.

Eavesdropping is nice but sleep is nicer - and it renders things witnessed during brief wakeful periods rather fuzzy and dreamlike. So, when Minato drifts back to wakefulness, he doesn't really think much about what he overheard or morning visitations. Instead he blinks up at the ceiling before shifting a little and glancing around to see who is here.

Resting his gaze on Shinjiro, he mutters a soft, "Hey," and lifts the hand of his non broken arm in a slight wave.

Having someone here is... nice. It's so much better than waking up alone, as has usually been the case in past hospital stays. Yukari after his weeklong coma had been a welcome change. And his visitors here have been more than welcome with one notable exception. But Shinjiro is not that exception and Minato manages a weak smile.

Shinjiro looks over when he catches Minato's voice, somewhat surprised to recieve much more than a strictly verbal greeting. At least he seems lucid, and not so drugged up and high on whatever medications they were putting into his system.

"Awake, huh?"

It's not much of a movement. But he wasn't sure how strong his voice would be, so the wave (well, more lift of the wrist than much else) had served to hopefully be able to get Shinjiro's attention if his voice failed him. Thankfully both seem to have worked!

But regardless, he makes an affirmative "mm" in response. There's not much more to say than that. At least, not to Shinji - Shinjiro is smart enough to know that Minato is just happy to see him, see that he's all right and to have company.

It's enough. It's not like you always need words. Words, in fact, are often inadequate as much as they are unnecssary. Minato being conscious is enough. ...Not that Shinjiro had ever been worried. The injuries Minato had sustained weren't the kind that killed you.

He blinks in response, shifting in his chair. "She'll be glad to see you're awake."

He doesn't have to guess who Shinjiro is referring to, and now that she's been brought up, Minato finds himself wondering where she's gone to. He hopes she all right. He saw her earlier today, he thinks. Or was it yesterday? It's hard for him to gauge time when he's spending most of it unconscious.

"... where's she?"
