Farewell Happy Fields!
Farewell Happy Fields!
☯
What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.
Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).
So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.
---
Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...
There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.
By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...
[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!
You may all start your threads and mingle!]

I've found one.
[A little rowboat! She doesn't even wait, going right ahead and climbing into it.]
Come on! Let's go.
no subject
Being hasty won't do you any go-- [Whoop, looks like the Unlucky Arcana kicked in as mid-sentence, and mid-getting on the boat, his foot gets caught on the edge of the boat and...
instead of ending up in the boat, and possibly doing damage to it, Blues ends up in the water with a big splash.]
no subject
Don't damage yourself.
no subject
I wasn't planning to.
[He stands up, bringing a hand to his face and Mia may hear a slight "ugh" from him and... it looks like some sparks? are coming from him too.
If a robot could look ill? Blues is looking it, while soaking wet.]
... Maybe you can show me the thing out there some other time?
no subject
[She holds her hand out to him!]
no subject
[He shakes his head, which ow, bad idea as he ignores her offered hand and makes his way back onto the shore.
The fact he's even telling her he needs to leave is better than what he'd normally do, which is just take off.]
no subject
Not yet. Let me see. Show me what's damaged.
[And she's not letting go, even though she fully expects a violent and loud reaction.]
no subject
No.
[One simple word, really, but it;s true. He can't exactly show her what's wrong because it's not something he wants to show anyone.
Ever.]

[Now he doesn't sound all to happy, and his facial expression matches his tone of voice too.]
no subject
[She holds onto him! She's not about to let go.]
Don't run away. Trust me. I want to show you something from my world. A piece that I belong to, and that belongs to me.
no subject
[He's trying to be calm, but dang she's got a grip for a cat.]
I'm not running away either.
[Now he sounds insulted!]
no subject
[Simultaneously coldhearted but honest and not malicious...]
What matters is that I have something to show you, because I want to know what your reaction might be. Does that make you angry?
no subject
[Tired and irritated on his end, really.]
Can it really not wait?
no subject
Just come along. For your trouble, I'll give you something very special. But only after I show you this place.
no subject
You don't have to give me anything, alright? I'll go.
no subject
I'll hold it for you, this time.
[Such a kind gesture! That or Mia would rather not have to argue for him to keep coming along for a second time.]
no subject
Thanks, I guess.
[still grumpy looking, but not grumpy sounding. Victory?]
no subject
Good! We've finally made it. This is called HĂ¼lle Granz. Now let's go see if the statue is inside.
no subject
Alright, lead on.
[Cause he's gonna be super careful getting out of the boat, no need for a replay of falling in again.]
no subject
Do you recall what I told you about the goddess?
no subject
Hm, the one that you mentioned when we first talked.
[He gets a thoughtful look on his face.]
Made by Harald Hoerwick, if I remember right.
no subject
[The eight chains that held her down were gone. Naturally...
Mia's contemplative for a bit, looking at the altar and the room around.]
The word is that the statue of a beautiful girl does appear here... but only during that strange time. The 13th hour.
I didn't want to bother coming when there might have been monsters. But I can feel it... even here, this is a safe place. If you come here, Blues, The World will be watching over you.
no subject
In fact he doesn't say anything when she's done, but he does have a look on his face that kind of shows that he's not quite sure what to say to the Cat AI.
That and he is thinking "Oh crap, I'm stuck out here with a crazy person"]
... I see. [at least he finally said something.]
no subject
You're wondering why it matters. Right? But it's not difficult. There will be times for you to escape. I've shown this place to no one else, and only those who have seen it before - those in my world - will come here. Until I find somewhere better, this is the perfect place to go to be left alone.
You like places like that, don't you?
[...It strangely sounds as if she's trying to impress him.]
