Ahh Autumn. The time for harvest, and the normal national holiday that falls on the 24th and 25th. Demons? Angels? Magic? Well nothing's been put on pause, but even the Anoli need to relax once in a while...

With that free time, what's a newcomer like you to do?

Well Hinoto-Ri has much to offer! As they seem to be the only standing city in...well, anywhere, they've tried to merge and adapt as many festivals around the world as they can.

Ergo this Fall festival is a mixture of everything the world could offer. Corn on the cob, Pumpkins, Yaki Imo (Oven-Roasted Sweet Potatoes), Ramen stands, Falafel, caramelized apples...

A giant dragon is tied down in the middle of the waters. At night, you can see a few pixies hover close to it, keeping other monsters at bay. The streets have been decorated as well.

But most importantly, the upper Virgo Ward has been turned in a giant festival area...even more so than usual! Now the millions of stalls don't just try to sell things to you, they sell things to you thematically with this fall! Giant pumpkins and fresh produce made in Libra and Capricorn..did you know that Capicorn has an amazing giant apple orchid, protected by the office of Wands and Swords? Try out some free samples! One taste is enough to convince you that having Persona to irrigate the fields ass a crispness to the fruit..right? Winter outfits...hats are in this year! Listen to some of the new music groups, and get pumped for the upcoming movies!

There is giant mooncake in the middle of all the tents and stalls. Don't worry about the money! Everything's free today! It is a time for sharing and family and...

...being thankful for what you have. No matter how small it might be.

For a city of survivors, Hinoto-Ri is certainly trying to have a good time.

Someone seems to be enjoying himself at the karaoke booth. If you've met this blue-haired teen before, you might be a little surprised to find him up there, singing shamelessly and clearly enjoying himself, given that otherwise he's normally pretty reserved and quiet...

Or maybe not. Everyone's got their hobbies, right? One of Minato's just happens to be karaoke, and his voice isn't at all bad to listen to, either. He's no opera singer, but he does seem to have some musical inclination, at least, even if he's not trained in singing.

He may or may not be being deliberately silly with adding in a few dorky dance moves to songs he really likes, but he doesn't get too carried away with such extraneous movement, since singing is what he's really enjoying here. Since he's having so much fun, you know you want to join him ... right?

...he's fairly unsure about jumping up there and joining Minato, but he will offer him applause when he finishes a song. Really, he is pretty good... guess there was a reason he always saw him with a pair of headphones (now he had to wonder what Yosuke's excuse was...).

The applesauce startles Minato a little, as he's more used to singing in a private booth, but he manages to swallow it and offer a weak smile in gratitude. He pauses a moment before holding the mic out to Yu.

"Ah -- I think it's your turn next?"

Though if Yu is particularly uncertain... there is an extra mic available for moral support duets.

CUE AWKWARD NOISE. No, hold on, let him get his Persona's wife first--

...okay, what? Shut up, Izanagi. Don't confuse him like that.

He let out a breath. Okay, he can do this. He has a maxed out courage stat; this will be easy! Up he went, into the booth. Yu paused, glancing at the extra mic, before returning his focus to Minato.

"...do you want to do a duet?"

Minato's courage is also maxed, so he has no problem nodding and reaching for the extra mic to hand it to Yu.

"It'll be fun."

Man, you're a cool guy, you know that? And just to add to the cool, Yu whips out his Midnight Channel glasses, slipping them on. All right, he's ready man.

"What do you recommend?"

Wow - that is some really impressive cool! Those are just as cool - if not more so - than the glasses that pop out from their comps!

But Minato's getting distracted, and he looks to the music list before pointing to one. "That one's good. It's an easy duet."

Yu leaned over to read the name of the song Minato pointed out... before a bit of a smirk cracked his stoic expression.

"...perfect."

"Let's do it, then."

Oh he is so ready. He doesn't smirk but he does smile a bit, looking to Yu for confirmation of readiness before starting it up and stepping back into his place.

Aww yeah~

There is clapping heard from not to far away, and a very tall youth then crosses his arms, grinning.

"Not bad, not bad! Quite a heartfelt performance, and Michel approves!"

"Ah -- thank you."

Being applauded startles Minato a little, but he's pretty good at swallowing dramatic reactions, so he winds up just shrugging a bit awkwardly.

"It was just a song I really liked..."

Lies. He just likes karaoke in general, whether it's a song he likes or not.

"Did -- you want a turn?" He holds out the mic.

So Minato hadn't been kidding when he mentioned he enjoyed singing.

But joining him to participate in something so ridiculous is the last thing Shinjiro wants to do; he doesn't intend to stay at the festival long in the first place. Too many people, too much noise. These places are meant for individuals of a different type than he is. So, for the moment, he'll keep his distance, watching Minato from his vantage point a few feet away. He'll leave soon enough.

Shinjiro, don't be such a spoilsport!

Eventually, of course, the song Minato's singing ends, and he takes a short break to have a drink of water, and when he's looking around for someone to hand the mic off to, he spies Shinjiro. Watching him. Like a stalker.

He doesn't say anything but offers a very small smile and holds the mic out in offering. If Shinjiro wants it, he'll come join in. If not, well... no big deal. Minato has a hard time imagining Shinjiro-senpai singing pop music...

That's because he wouldn't.

Minato knows him well.

He arches an eyebrow, shakes his head. Minato can look like an idiot if he wants. Shinjiro's not going to get within three feet of the booth. He certainly didn't come here to sing.

He'll give Minato credit though, at least he has a decent voice to him. It isn't like some bird screeching out its last death wail.

If Minato were his sister, maybe he'd drag Shinjiro up here, but Minato is nicer more respectful of boundaries than that, and so he just nods and passes the mic to someone else before coming over to join Shinjiro. He offers his senpai-from-another-world a small smile that pretty much just says 'it's nice to see you here.' He gestures over to one of the nearby stands that sells food and drink in a query about if Shinjiro wants to go pick up something with Minato.

All this singing and being siilly has left him thirsty!

Shinjiro hadn't expected Minato to abandon the microphone and join him. He had been just about leave. Find out where his sister had gotten to, but at the apparent invitation Shinjiro shrugs his shoulders. Might as well.

"You want anything specific?"

Because he doesn't care.

Shinjiro just showed up at the right time, is all. Minato was planning on getting a drink after the next song or so anyway. It's not like he wants his senpai to notice him or anything!

"Something cold to drink."

Like lemonade or iced coffee or something.

"Know where your sister went?" He was supposed to meet her around here, but she's gone off. Not that that's much of a surprise.

He will find that there is a rather androgynous figure with long silver hair politely applauding in the small crowd that gathered when suddenly karaoke. They don't seem to intrigued, but it would be rather rude not to compliment them on a splendid performance, would it not?

There's something about that figure that catches Minato's attention. Nothing physically - they don't seem to be dressed particularly outlandishly, and silver hair isn't that startling overall. But... still, there's something that stirs in his mind when he sees her. And he pauses, watching her for a few seconds before turning to hand off the mic to the next person in line.

He half expects her to be gone when he looks over again.

Sorry to disappoint, but she isn't quite gone when he glances her way once more. In fact, they are just turning away to walk in the opposite direction. Enjoy your evening-?

Just a split second to make the decision and -- he heads after them. He's not quite sure yet if he just intends to see which way this person goes or if he actually wants to talk to them. It will, of course, depend on whether they totally disappear into the crowd or not--!

The figure stopped at another stand, still within earshot of the karaoke machine. Really, she did not mind it; she may even enjoy it. However, what is singing. What is being in a spotlight when one is content with watching. It was what she'd always done over the last few centuries, after all.

Though, it seemed as though she hadn't noticed him yet. ...Approach?

It takes him a moment to spy her again, but when he does, of course he heads on over. He talks to all the NPCs! Sometimes multiple times, just to see if their dialogue has changed yet... He steps beside her at the booth and looks sidelong.

"Not interested in karaoke?"

You protags and your desire to talk to everyone even though you barely say a word. Gosh. They pause for a moment, apparently not having expected to be followed, before slipping into a too-practiced smile.

"I prefer listening over participating," she answered politely. "You did rather well, by the way."
