Ahh Autumn. The time for harvest, and the normal national holiday that falls on the 24th and 25th. Demons? Angels? Magic? Well nothing's been put on pause, but even the Anoli need to relax once in a while...

With that free time, what's a newcomer like you to do?

Well Hinoto-Ri has much to offer! As they seem to be the only standing city in...well, anywhere, they've tried to merge and adapt as many festivals around the world as they can.

Ergo this Fall festival is a mixture of everything the world could offer. Corn on the cob, Pumpkins, Yaki Imo (Oven-Roasted Sweet Potatoes), Ramen stands, Falafel, caramelized apples...

A giant dragon is tied down in the middle of the waters. At night, you can see a few pixies hover close to it, keeping other monsters at bay. The streets have been decorated as well.

But most importantly, the upper Virgo Ward has been turned in a giant festival area...even more so than usual! Now the millions of stalls don't just try to sell things to you, they sell things to you thematically with this fall! Giant pumpkins and fresh produce made in Libra and Capricorn..did you know that Capicorn has an amazing giant apple orchid, protected by the office of Wands and Swords? Try out some free samples! One taste is enough to convince you that having Persona to irrigate the fields ass a crispness to the fruit..right? Winter outfits...hats are in this year! Listen to some of the new music groups, and get pumped for the upcoming movies!

There is giant mooncake in the middle of all the tents and stalls. Don't worry about the money! Everything's free today! It is a time for sharing and family and...

...being thankful for what you have. No matter how small it might be.

For a city of survivors, Hinoto-Ri is certainly trying to have a good time.

It had been the strangest three hours, and this after having to fight Nyx and being in Tartarus. In fact, Miki might have swore she was dreaming, but at it went on, it was becoming more and more obvious she wasn't. After finding herself in a strange city, dragged off to a giant government building and given things, then told to go and enjoy the city for now and meet the others...wasn't she just sitting on the school rooftop last she remembered? They'd won. Couldn't she catch a tiny break?

Apparently this sort of was? For once, she was glad that her wardrobe included one festival kimono that she would only wear when she absolutely had to. A quick trip to her new apartment (she could check it out later) and Miki was already out the door, not even bothering to look at the names of her levelmates.

The orangish kimono was crudely tied around her, but she walked comfortably around in her geta. After all, some of her training sessions involved the wooden shoes. It was admittedly a source of pride for her, and the fact she could walk in them for extended periods of time (a girl has got to have little things to be happy about, you know?). The subway system was strange, and the fact there were demonic creatures around her made her feel somewhat uneasy, but she wasn't one to shy away from a challenge. She was a Sanada!

Miki had read a bit of why she was here on her COMP, but had quickly discarded it when FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENT had popped up in a notice. Besides, government stuff. Who knew if they could be trusted or not. Especially when she could be here in the middle of--

Apples.

Apples everywhere. She hadn't seen that many in variety before! Wait. Didn't she have an allotted allowance here? Hmm...better not spend too much (she thought as she bought another bag full of them.) Now what else could she do...

A grey armored knight-errant looks at the apples being sold himself, some curiosity suggested by his stance.

OH MY...this guy. Was huge. He looked like Captain Deathstrycker in Episode 15 of Phoenix Ranger Featherman R. Well if he was here buying apples, he clearly wasn't here to cause trouble...right?

So she did the most logical thing to do when one sees a man of this caliber.

She gave him a small hand wave of acknowledgement.

The figure picks up an apple, which looks more like a large cherry in his gauntlet, and looks over to the young lady, nodding his helm curtly at her.

"Hello." He says, in a chest-rumbling basso voice.

"Hello!" she called right back. "Um forgive me if I'm wrong in assuming, but you're not from this world either, are you?"

"I am from Cthonia, but I am descended of Terra stock." He shifts a bit, trying to consider how best to answer the question honestly.

"...I have no idea where that is," she said, thinking. "I'm from earth, in 2009."

"Ah, you are from the time before the dark Ages of technology, or the Alien Wars."

He looks down at her, helmet whirring slightly as he does so.

And then the ghost wanted an apple. Swell.

He's heard of hungry ghosts, but this is a little ridiculous. And she didn't even specify; she just said "a nice, big, juicy one." He has the feeling HE'S going to be the one stuffed by the time she decided it was time to depart.

"...how am I even supposed to know which ones are the best ones?" he mutters to himself, staring at the sea of fruit. What a life.

Well Danada, you always said you wanted to help people. You knew some of the apples, right? She steps closer to the guy and points to a bright red one.

"I tried those a short while ago. They were the best out of the samples!"

"Eh? That so? Thanks, that's actually a big help." He adjusts his glasses and, pulling out the woefully small amount of money he got as a starting amount, purchases one. He sighs. "Looks like I'm going to have to find some revenue if this sort of thing keeps up..."

He turns to her. "Thanks. I'm Nick, by the way. Nick Reeve. You?"

"Miki Sanada. Nice to meet you as well." She has been raised to be polite, after all. It isn't too hard to figure out from looking at him that he is out of place here as she is. After all, no one would say they'd need revenue and be living here before.

"You're new aren't you?"

He stashes the apple away for now. "Yeah. It's a bit crazy, I have to admit... but I guess crazier things have happened." He shrugs. "It's all a bit mysterious, though, I have to admit. I can't even figure out the precise reasoning behind their choices of who arrives."

She stares at him for that comment.

"Crazier things have happened?"

This from someone who helped stopping the Fall.

"Where I come from? Yeah, pretty much." Getting drawn into a place you can technically leave at any time generally beats out getting forced into a place because your home world went "plooey," anyway. So he gathered from most of the refugees, anyway; it's not like he really remembered enough about his original world himself. "Then again, I'm not exactly a normal type myself."

Speaking of, where was that ghost again? Damnit, would it kill her to stay in one place?

"I had a feeling that they didn't just pick us before we had persona before..." Miki scratched the back of her head. "I guess that doesn't make us normal..."

He shrugs. "It's hard to say. I know I didn't have a Persona before. I don't even know what mine's supposed to look like yet." He looks around. "Maybe there is no criteria. Who knows?"

He spots something out of the corner of his eye. Something transparent, moving through the crowd like it's not even there. "Oh, uh, can you hold on for a moment? I gotta do something," he asks sheepishly.

Sasha was munching on an apple when she absentmindedly stepped back. Stepped back right into Miki, that is. The contact made her swiftly turn around, and one hand went to her face in surprise when she saw what she'd done.

"Oh, no! I'm sorry! I didn't see you back there!"

"Oh that's alright!" she picked up the few apples that had tumbled during the fall, removing her geta for a second to do so.

"Happens all the time, although usually I'm the one bumping into the others!"

"Oh, shoot, you lost some! Aww, they're no good now." Sasha watched Miki pick up the apples with a somewhat worried look on her face. That worry quickly faded, though. "I like your robe! It reminds me of some of the clothes I have at home... lots of my people dress like that." She made no indication that she was going to explain what she meant by "her people."

Link looked at her outfit curiously. He still had no idea what they were, but she looked nice. Maybe he could ask her.

"Hey um. ... What's the thing that you're wearing?"

"Oh this?" She twirls around as fast as her geta allow her to do so. "That's a festival kimono." She looks at Link, surprised for a second due to his ears. He's like an elf!

Tilting her head, she puts her arms to the side.

"You're not from around here either, are you?"

His ears are normal, it's your ears that are weird! But he tilts his head slightly. "Ki... mono. Okay." At the question though, he shakes his head.

"I was brought here. You were too?"
