Ahh Autumn. The time for harvest, and the normal national holiday that falls on the 24th and 25th. Demons? Angels? Magic? Well nothing's been put on pause, but even the Anoli need to relax once in a while...

With that free time, what's a newcomer like you to do?

Well Hinoto-Ri has much to offer! As they seem to be the only standing city in...well, anywhere, they've tried to merge and adapt as many festivals around the world as they can.

Ergo this Fall festival is a mixture of everything the world could offer. Corn on the cob, Pumpkins, Yaki Imo (Oven-Roasted Sweet Potatoes), Ramen stands, Falafel, caramelized apples...

A giant dragon is tied down in the middle of the waters. At night, you can see a few pixies hover close to it, keeping other monsters at bay. The streets have been decorated as well.

But most importantly, the upper Virgo Ward has been turned in a giant festival area...even more so than usual! Now the millions of stalls don't just try to sell things to you, they sell things to you thematically with this fall! Giant pumpkins and fresh produce made in Libra and Capricorn..did you know that Capicorn has an amazing giant apple orchid, protected by the office of Wands and Swords? Try out some free samples! One taste is enough to convince you that having Persona to irrigate the fields ass a crispness to the fruit..right? Winter outfits...hats are in this year! Listen to some of the new music groups, and get pumped for the upcoming movies!

There is giant mooncake in the middle of all the tents and stalls. Don't worry about the money! Everything's free today! It is a time for sharing and family and...

...being thankful for what you have. No matter how small it might be.

For a city of survivors, Hinoto-Ri is certainly trying to have a good time.

"It was certainly a 'thing' on Alternia. Our Empire made many dealings with other planets." Of course, most of the 'dealings' were hostile invasions with a disproportionately large and powerful force, but details. She looked at Misery's several tonics with a critical eye. "You are making a profit? But is this festival not for offering free samples of wares?"

"Oh honestly, it's the CITY that can afford that sort of frippery. I'm but a lone entrepreneur, however. I need to cover my costs someway, don't you think?" Smooth. "And if it brings people a little luck, so much the better! Oh ho ho ho."

The smoothest. Kanaya finally broke her attention away from the vials and back to Misery. "Luck potions? Interesting. What do you do to make them so lucky?"

"Just a tiny bit of witchcraft! Although this is really just a trifle compared to what I COULD make. I'm quite talented, you know." She chortles.

"Talented in witchcraft?" Sphinx took the opportunity to butt into the conversation. "You don't say! I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever find a person in this world with a scrap of magical power!"

"Oh my, I do hope I satisfy then. I have no lack of talent in that field. I'd demonstrate, but I suspect a busy place like this would result in a bit too much collateral damage," she says, preening a bit. Seems like she has no lack of ego either.

"Huh! Where do you practice normally, then?"

Kanaya prepared to make a mental note of the address. Sphinx would almost certainly force her to pay a visit soon.

"I mostly just work out of my tiny little place in Libra. Although the Capricorn district is a DELIGHTFUL source of common reagents," she replies. "Of course, the uncommon stuff is usually the bigger issue, but I'm sure I'll work something out."

Like getting saps to harvest them, mainly.

"Hmm! Very nice incentive, my dear." Sphinx nodded in satisfaction. "Perhaps you could take Kanaya here on as an apprentice. She needs to stop lying around the hive all day."

The troll made no attempt to argue this time, but she was still clearly uncomfortable.

An apprentice? Her? She's not sure she likes the idea of that. The idea of some amateur running around at her feet, getting in the way sounds bothersome. Not to mention the fact that giving some people a little power is tantamount to writing the opening scene of your own downfall, in her experience. On the other hand, she has been sorely lacking in loyal ser -- er, helpers ever since she and Balrog had parted ways. Hmm.

She still seems reticent. "I doubt I'll have the time to handle the training of someone else. I am simply too busy with my work to handle such distractions." Which is a lie considering she's still getting off the ground, but she has to put up a front.

Although... "Of course, if you can make it worth my while, maybe I can find the time," she adds, smirking a bit.

"We will consider it," said Sphinx, and the way she spoke indicated that that would be the last talk of that.

Sensing that her Persona had finally stopped steering the conversation, Kanaya spoke up. "You say these are... luck tonics? Why do they all look different?"

"It'd be BORING if they all looked the same, don't you think? I like to think a little level of customization in a luck tonic is appreciated. Although you SHOULD be careful. Don't want the pretty color to have the worst fortune. Ho ho ho!" Man, she's just rattling these off.
