Summary: We have a pool now!  Summer fun for everyone!
Warnings: Probably none.

[It's summer, and what would summer be without a pool?  Well, thankfully for the good citizens and Visitors of Hinoto-Ri, the public pool is finally open for business!  With three different pools, a snack bar, and plenty of space on the grass for playing frisbee or just laying out to get some sun, there's plenty of summertime fun for everyone!  There are also a number of pool toys to use, ranging from basketball hoops and plastic balls, water noodles, boogie boards, and just about anything else you can think of.]

ADULT POOL

[The deepest pool is five feet at the shallow end and twelve feet at the deep end. There's a diving board and a high dive platform further up.]

[DeDeDe can be found floating on his back in the shallow end of the adult pool, wearing a ridiculous and oversized pair of Hawaiian print swimming trunks as he relaxes. He is a penguin, after all, and penguins do enjoy a nice cool bath. Besides, it's actually nice to get away from the club once in a while.]

Oh no, DeDeDe, it's this jerk again and it looks like he's going to splash some water on you because he's in that sort of mood.

"Yo, Penguin head!" He says with a charming smile. "Nice swim trunks ya got there."

[DeDeDe kicks one of his legs to turn and float toward where Dante's voice is coming from, bringing a hand up to rub at his stomach. No fazing this cool bird right now.]

Well, if it ain't the demon slayer himself.

"Yeah, he decided to come out for a change, ain't that a surprise?" Wow, he's in a really good mood today. "Nice weather, isn't it?"

[And after swimming around said pool for a while, Zoe will eventually burst out of the water and hoist herself up to sit on the edge of the pool, wearing this bikini and kicking her feet in the water slightly. She's taking a break before she goes back to swim a few more laps.]

Ruri nods over to the other woman, putting some sunscreen on herself.

"Do you need any before you go back in the water?"

Zoe glances over at the other girl, before she nods back at her.

"Oh, yes, I think I do. I'm hoping to work up a tan, but I seem more likely to burn again."

"Ah, I've never been able to do that. I just burn. Still here."

She offers the bottle.

It wasn't just Visitors that showed up to the seasonal opening of the public pool- citizens had also arrived in droves, of course. One of them, a teenager with an out of place t-shirt, overly baggy swimtrunks, and navy flipflops was staring at the adult-sized pool over the top of his sunglasses like he was trying to analyze it for lost bandaids or nasty bodyscum.

"...this doesn't seem very sanitary." It was little more than a mumble, and he sighed immediately after spitting the comment out.

A young girl with a red two piece and long curly black hair slides up next to him and nudges him in the side a little with her elbow, expression exuberant.

"They add chemicals to clean it, you know! It'll be fiiinneee."

She reaches out to dip one of her toes in the water, recoiling slightly at the temperature with a small noise of unpleasant surprise. It would be nice once she actually got in, but...

"...'chemicals' don't make me feel much better..."

Sighing, the teen leaned forward, trying to also dip a toe in, finding it more palatable in temperature than his friend did.

"Okay, fine. We can jump in on three, so it's fair, okay?"

She snorts a little in amusement, but nods an affirmative to his question.

"Alright! If someone doesn't come along to push us in first."

The girl gives him a look, as if there was someone that would come immediately to mind between the two of them. She reaches over to grab the teens hand (because you needed to hold on to each other when jumping, of course!), scooting a little closer to the waters edge.

"On your count?"

So this guy finally decides to join in on the fun. Sporting some red swim trunks (because why not?), he'll hop right in the pool.

Of course, his real reason for joining in is obvious the moment you catch him looking at some of the chicks. Yup.

[Fumi's fairly hard to miss once she actually bothers to get in the pool and swim. She's got fair skin, large breasts, and is wearing a somewhat flattering black two piece bikini. Right now she's just hanging out in the shallow end, not really one for swimming laps.]

Of course Dante's gonna be oogling her. Eventually though, he realizes maybe he should socialize instead of being a complete pervert. He'll make his way over.

"Yo, beautiful." That totally slipped out, by the way. Totally. "What's your name?"

[After finding herself at the pool, Miyako decided to go for a swim. Or rather, climbing up the platform and getting onto a high diving form in a black bikini.

And dive into the deep end of the pool with a pretty decent form.

After a moment, she would swim back up and her head emerges from the water. Haaa, that feels good.]

[Hizumi actually looks a bit surprised at first, but he quickly replaces it with a grin.]

Hey, you actually made it after all!

[When Miyako see Hizumi, she blinks before frowning.]

It's either coming or ignore your "plight".

"Come on come on come on come ON!" Miki was skipping ahead, bundle of energy and already in her two piece bikini with beach towel draped over at her elbows as she surveyed the people around. "It's a little more crowded than I thought...but the water looks so nice!"

It was time for relaxing. She'd definitely earned it after what happened last month and all that work at the store. No wait...she shouldn't be thinking about the store, the song was going to pop right back in her... too late.

"If you want to heal you'll need to--" Damnit Miki, get it together! "I mean...Y-yeah! Let's go swimming!"

Unlike Miki, Shinjiro doesn't really have the slightest intention of setting foot in the water. He feels awkward enough as it is. He doesn't even know how he was coerced into abandoning his regular clothing and coming with the two of them, but he's pretty damned sure he should feel manipulated somehow. He's exchanged his pants for a pair of longer navy blue swimming trunks that are probably going to stagnate in his closet by the year's end, while in the spirit of economy, he borrowed one of Akihiko's new cotton t-shirts he left behind so he wouldn't have to "go shopping" and fill up his closet with more clothes he'll have no intention of wearing. The towel he's dragging along with him is functioning as his current coat substitute, and he's beginning to regret leaving his hat behind because the sun is out with a vengeance today.

He fails to respond to any of Miki's boundless enthusiasm, and feels a bit exasperated just watching her hurry over to the pool, though there's a part of him that inwardly winces at seeing the burn marks that cover her shoulders in a way not even a tattoo would. "Don't run!"

Or skip. Or hurry anywhere. Or do anything that could end up with her breaking her neck and taking in a lungful of chlorine-infested water.

He feels like he's babysitting a kid all of a sudden.

Or Aki.

Well, same damn thing, basically.

Fortunately for Shinjiro, Minako is not also running by the pool. However this is mostly because she's wearing flip-flops, pink to match her lacy bikini. The geta incident is still fresh in her mind.

Instead she laughs at him and reaches for his hand. "She'll be all right."

The 's' in Desco stands for 'submersible'. This is not hyperbole - anyone who has heard Desco give her full name knows this. Currently, Desco has somehow managed to fit into a swimsuit and is playing at the bottom of the deep end of the pool, laughing and having a good time.

It's an open question as to exactly where her normal chitinous dress has gone, but it's probably just one more thing that can be chalked up to 'demons are weird, man' and forgotten about.

[Nano's walking by on her way between pools when she catches sight of a strange shadow at the bottom of the deep end. Stopping for a moment, she walks to the edge of the pool to look down and in.]

Oh hey it is Miss Nano.

Desco will just wave hello from underneath twelve feet of water and gurgle out a greeting.

Someone less familiar with how Desco works might think it looks like she's flailing around in a panic and losing air, huh.
