When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

Cloche Leythal Pastalia | All Nights

[After much thought, Cloche has decided to sign up as a participant for the Grand Prix. If she can just get used to using Infel, she can make up for the natural weakness of her Song Magic being slow to activate. She'll faithfully practice on weaker monsters every evening in the Pisces Ward, never straying too far from the apartment complex.

Some nights go better than others.]

[Earlier in the week, Cloche struggles to fight by herself. Infel shares her own weakness to physical attacks, which send the both of them flat on their rumps if anything gets close enough to land a physical attack. She fights dressed in her Oldmodern Style costume, taking comfort in the familiar clothes.]

[However, with practice, Cloche becomes much more adept at handling her Persona. She summons Infel by singing out commands in New Testament of Pastalia, taking advantage of the language's natural tendencies towards short sentences. She's much more confident... considering the fact that she's fighting in her Metamorole Model costume. It's a very well-rounded costume, okay?!]

[Well rounded indeed! Though, Ryoji is just... kind of wandering around. He doesn't seem to care much for the monsters around, and even so, he just seems... at peace? Which is odd, for the current setting, without a doubt. He's mostly muttering to himself.]

It's the same here...

[Though, he does at least notice Cloche.]

... Hey! Are you doing alright, out here?

[Just making sure... !]

[Oh. It's that weirdo from the the COMP Network that thought that Teenbeats Magazine was dishing out flattering compliments. Cloche bristles at his remark, squaring her shoulders.]

Hmph! I don't see why that's any of your business.

[nyxterious]

Well, I don't exactly want to see anyone get hurt! So of course it's my business. Especially in a time like now. It's strange out, right now. It's kind of nostalgic to me, though.

So, what are you doing? Or is that none of my business, either?

[pastalishe]

Strange? Nostalgic? That doesn't describe the 13th Hour properly at all!

It isn't. [...] But, if you must know, I'm training my mind.

[nyxterious]

It does for me. [What with the Dark Hour back home.]

Huh? Training your mind?

[Oh look, something got close enough to land a physical attack! And once Cloche is on the ground, it approaches one more tiFLYING KICK TO THE FACE

The monster falls back, and its assailant lands on the ground next to Cloche.]

Are you all right? I'll cover you!

[pastalishe]

[Getting knocked down to the ground is, quite frankly, a little humiliating--especially since someone she knows witnessed her fall.]

Asem?! [At the same time, Cloche feels a surge of relief. As a Reyvateil, fighting alone feels very foolish--and Asem is a trained soldier, someone who can protect her.] Wh- How- When did you get here?!

[second_destiny]

It's my job to patrol the city! Hold on, we'll get out of this!

[Asem whips out his pistol. BANG, BANG, BANG.

Two demons fall. But Asem is low on ammo by this point, and he knows it.]

[pastalishe]

Just-- give me a moment and I can assist you-- [Cloche struggles to her feet. The remaining demon pulls back, drawing in a deep breath.]

Ah, shit!

[Asem fires his gun at the Dodongo, but the bullet simply lodges itself in the creature's scales. Damage was negligible.]

No, no, NO! DAMMIT!

[Unfortunately, Asem is out of explosives and flashbangs. He's got maybe five shots left in his gun, and the Dodongo is too big to knock away with a punch or a kick, maybe not even a tackle. Was he going to have to watch a friend die, again?]

[>You notice that girl who was complaining about being written about in a gossip column... She seems to be struggling in a battle.

>You elect to blast the enemies with a powerful Force Dance, hoping they don't block Wind attacks.]

[Luckily for Io, the annoying group of enemies are weak to Wind attacks. The Force Dance knocks them back from Cloche, who's hunched over to protect herself from their attacks.]

You-- [... it's the busty girl who replied to her network message about Teenbeats Magazine!!]

I don't think there's time to talk right now!

[And indeed, there are too many enemies nearby! These things tend to attack in large swarms, just like they are now...

Her Persona, Hathor, appears nearby, piercing one of the fallen Cliff Racers with a measure of dark energy. It may be weaker than her Summoning App, but she wouldn't get any better at using Persona unless she used Persona, no matter how weak.]

[Thankfully, despite her frailty, Cloche hasn't been badly hurt by the flock of monsters.]

There are too many of them to fight one-by-one! [She gathers herself up, squaring her shoulders.] I'm going to Sing-- I'm leaving my safety up to you!

[There's no time to explain further. Cloche closes her eyes, lays a hand over her chest, and begins to sing. A crackling ball of lightning appears over her head. Io won't be able to understand the language of the song-- but it swells with courage and strength.]

Now that Kairi had learned to use her Persona, she figured she owed it to her Other to help her accomplish the same. Even if they couldn't get her Persona out that particular night, the 13th Hour was still a prime time to get some training in, and they could finally test the skills they'd honed in Facility together out on some real monsters, rather than just beating up each other. It'd be just like the old days at Facility, only with less pain and torture and more fun and unnerfed powers.

Let's find some monsters!

She was looking forward to training. This thought provoked a small epiphany about how much she had changed since coming into existence at Castle Oblivion, accompanied with a wry smile.

It hadn't just been her friends. The Facility made a person change just by being there.

Once she finished suiting up, though, she pushed the thought aside. It wouldn't do to keep dwelling on the Facility-- or at least, on how it had influenced her. She was in a new place now, with new rules and new things to learn. It was a new experience, and she intended to make the most of it, without regret over how different she was now compared to before.

Naminé closed the apartment door behind her, adjusting the quiver on her back. "So what do you have in mind, Kairi?"

Kairi herself hadn't bothered to summon her keyblade yet, not really considering it worth lugging around if there weren't any enemies. She was, however, sporting more training friendly attire, with an added jacket over top due to the cold weather. She hooks her fingers behind her head and grins at Naminé, obviously copying Sora.

"Well, the 13th hour is full of monsters. We just need to go out and find something that doesn't look too difficult!"

"You don't happen to know the Scan ability, do you?" She laughed quietly and stretched a little. "Alright, lead the way, then."

To be very honest, Naminé was very pleased that she and Kairi were doing this training all on their own. It felt like girl time despite the possibility of danger, and in a way, the chance to go out exploring with her sister in this way felt like she was finally becoming an adventurer, just like Sora. It was exhilarating.

"I wonder if we'll find treasure chests like Sora and Riku used to."

1-11-13 (Naminé and Sora)

Upon hearing Sora had decided to sign up for the Persona Grand Prix without even having ever summoned his Persona, Kairi forced insisted on having him come train with her and Naminé now that they could both successfully use them. It would benefit him in the long run to get used to his Persona before the day of his fight, and learn what his skills and weaknesses were as well as maybe learn a few new ones, as the case seemed to be with Kairi using her Persona the other day.

Kairi had zoned in on a few Majik Lapin, deeming them an acceptable target despite having never seen them before in her life, though they reminded her of those weird animals Riku summoned the other day. Even though they were fairly inexperienced Persona users, they were still strong enough as a group in their other abilities to take down these things easily, so she wasn't too worried.

"Alright Sora, you ready?"

Honestly, Sora was as predictable as ever. When Kairi had told her the situation, she couldn't help but laugh. Of course he would sign up for the tournament, and of course he would charge headlong into it. But, Sora was Sora, and while this training session could only benefit him, she's also certain he would have managed to bumble turn out alright even without a lesson.

He'd always had good instincts, after all.

Tonight she hangs back, watching the Majik Lapin carefully and ready to jump in at any moment. Kairi has been practicing with her Persona more, so she intends to let her start guiding Sora towards his first summon.

"Good luck."

In the end, it was probably a really good thing Kairi had dragged him out here. If he had the time to practice before the Grand Prix, after all, it wouldn't hurt to use that time and get at least some practice in. Or, well, any practice at all.

"So, um...how was this supposed to work again?" Sora asked, trying to laugh off the fact that he had no idea where to even begin.

It was taking a lot of focus to suppress the urge to just summon his Keyblade and fight that way, but that wasn't what he was here for. Sure, he had it if anything went wrong, but the whole point of this was to try to learn how to use his Persona.

Which couldn't be too hard! It was kind of like summoning, right? Only not...exactly? That's all he really knew, though.

"It's not too complicated when you get down to it!"

Kairi smiles at Sora encouragingly, pressing a few of her fingertips lightly over his heart.

"This is where your power comes from. Your heart is strong, Sora. You just need to look deep down within yourself and find the power this world gave you; the power of Persona. When you find that power, call it forth from within yourself."

She'd heard rumors of new monsters prowling during the 13th Hour. As she hadn't been out to explore during that time, she figured the new monsters would be as good a reason as any to finally do so.

Of course, she wouldn't in her right mind go out in her civilian form. No, Sailor Uranus was out on the streets tonight, sprinting to and fro at breakneck speed. Most monsters she can pulverize with ease, but some...

That's when she summons a ball of light shaped like a ringed planet and smashes it into the ground, sending the energy blast hurtling towards the expecting monsters.

Who needs a persona?
