When it is darkest, men see the stars...

The snow was falling softly in the night sky when the heavens turned red again. The nearly black sphere of the upcoming new moon meant the monster population wasn't overly aggressive and the creatures wouldn't offer much challenge....

...or that's what was supposed to happen.

That night, there was a strange pull. The demons had acted odd that day, but even when asked, they were unsure why. To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job.

It was a good thing he had. As the first minute of the 13th hour continued, something happened...the signature tail in the sky of something appearing, much like when the Guests had shown up. Only this time it was hundred of such little signals. The sky was filled with them, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible. Something was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

New creatures began to move around the city. For some, it would be creatures they might have wanted to forget. Yet for others, this would soon be forgotten when not flesh but stone, rock and metal, rose from the very ground, pieces of their homeworld reborn in Hinoto-Ri...

Alright 13th hour post!

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour. Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log only You can level a persona twice meaning if they are used in a post with one group and in a post with another group, you can level up your persona twice. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on two different days. You can do this with only one persona, however.

For the buildings, each one gets its own thread. The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! No boss characters that night, since it isn't a full moon. Also make sure your characters could logically take onthe creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant tree when they couldn't normally.]

THE NAGANAKI SHRINE

[Pharos is the first to the scene due to a strange pulling in the direction of where it would appear...

...well we suppose it's more like teleport but you get the idea.]

[And when he feels that slight tug, the smallest of brushes upon the descend of the dark hour that wasn't his mother's realm, Pharos does indeed follow it to its source out of curiosity, and what he found was unexpected. The shrine itself was unfamiliar to him personally but he recognized it; his hosts had both visited this place before in their home dimensions.

He smiled to himself, bemused. How did this work? Why did he feel the tug of this area's arrival and not others from his universe; first pulling souls, now pulling parts of worlds? Philemon, really...] Interesting.


[And if you're one of those brave souls that regularly travels in the thirteenth hour, if you drop by the Capricorn district, there's a small child perched atop one of the stone lion-creatures that were placed on either side of a shrine that certainly wasn't there before midnight.]

Standing at the edge of the grounds Ruri peers at the shrine and the child on the stone lions.

"This seems different too. Are you all right?"

"I'm fine. And, indeed," Said Pharos from atop one of the guardian statues. He nods at her, acknowledging her remark. The zig-zag paper streamers of the shrine shiver in the weak breeze.

"A change of some sorts is underway, I think. I wonder what else midnight has brought this city."

"I've noted a few new places, perhaps this is how this place is dealing with everything from before vanishing?"

He glanced at her; she had worded it that a little strangely. "You're referring to the calamity that befell this world ten years ago?"

Or is she talking about what Philemon and his arch-nemesis had done to pull them here?

"There is that possibility, but I suspect its more the forces that brought us here to fill the void of the calamity."

[the_usual_stuff]

"Oh, them? Mmm, they probably just opened the doors when they brought us here, and unwittingly triggered... this."

He gestured lightly at the shrine, at the offertory box place in front of the steps, and at the paved stone walkway. Who knows if it was deliberate or not, this area coming here. Well, some people probably know.

"Its possible, but I get the distinct feeling that nothing happens purely out of chance when the powers here are concerned."

Pharos shrugged and hopped down from the stone lion he had been seated on. "That can be so as well. Countless designs are at work here, right?"

"Well, there are at least 2 sides here, possibly more so that is a probable hypothesis."

[the_usual_stuff]

Hahah, just two sides pursing their own interests and goals? The little boy made a humming sound to acknowledge he was listening to what she was saying and wandered over to the offertory box, checking it for any wishes.

[ It's a while before Minato drops by. The tug of this area was somewhat present for him, familiar as it is, but he hadn't really noticed it until after they'd discovered the dorm. He had been going to return to the apartments to get something warmer than boxer shorts, but... the tug had been too bothersome to ignore.

So it is that eventually Minato shows up, jogging as much to keep himself warm and his blood flowing as it is to get this over with quickly. But he stops when he catches sigh of Pharos and the shrine behind him. Panting while he catches his breath, Minato comes closer. ]

Why... would this place... be here?

[Pharos waves at him with one thin arm when Minato jogs up to him, catching sight of the shrine that had manifested at midnight, with its braided traditional rope and gate, and a offertory box empty of wishes. Blandly and cheerfully when he came to a stop;]

I have no idea!

[His perch is on top of the stone lion's head, sandals' planted on its face. He can guess all he likes at the "hows" but he doesn't know the "whys" sadly.]

Did it just... show up tonight?

[ Minato tears his eyes away from the shrine long enough to stare up at Pharos for a moment before looking back. He almost expects to see Akinari or Maiko there, but he knows that's unlikely. Still.... ]

Yes, it did. When the Dark Hour descended upon the city, it appeared.

[Pharos supplies helpfully, meeting Minato's eyes before looking back at the shrine. It was only after midnight he had felt the beginnings of the sensation of the odd tug that had insistently pulled him to this place, so he assumed the time of arrival. He noted faintly;]

The demons wouldn't approach it.

They wouldn't?

[ Hm... ]

I guess that makes it kind of a safe haven...

[ Minato starts forward again, peering around curiously. He wonders if it's still supplied with fortunes and if it came with the sushi offering. ]

Nope.

[It's the wards probably! :D]

During the Dark Hour at least.

[The shrine is deserted, bare of any decoration other than the zig-zag paper streamers when Minato curiously steps forward to take a closer look. The offertory box is empty and no fortunes are left, no offerings or prayers.]

Hm.

[ He's a little disappointed to find everything empty, though... he guesses he's pretty glad the sushi isn't still there. ]

I'll have to remember that.

The shrine... I didn't expect to see it here.

[Sup Pharos. He didn't seem to be all that worried, at least... ! Instead, Ryoji is waving, like everything is normal. Or, well... seemingly normal.]

This world is fond of the unexpected.

[He waves back, his smile small and quiet. Then he tipped his head back to look at the moon glowing up in the frozen night sky, obscured only by a few drifting clouds. It is a very quiet, moonlit scene.]

Hello, how are you?

It truly is.

[He'll go ahead and glance up at that moon as well. This place was definitely nostalgic, in more than one way.]

I'm doing fine. I... feel at peace here, which is still kind of strange to me, I have to admit. How about you?

[the_usual_stuff]

Mmhm. Philemon has a sense of humor, I suppose.

[It's not a full moon, and it's not Mother, but Pharos and his older self look up at it anyway, the gentle breeze tugging at loose black hair. His smile remains small.]

Our duties are put on hold here, maybe that's why. And... you have our friends here. That must be a comfort to you. [Which duties? Either one, he supposes.] I'm doing well too.

He does.

And it is! I'm extremely happy to have them all here, and to have a break from our duties. I like living as a normal human.
