Finally it was time for the mayor, Kazuki Sakahagi, to speak up. Not even an thirty minutes left to the celebrations, but seeing him go appeared to be lighting up a spark in the citizens. It wasn't too hard to see why; his enthusiastic grin and way of walking could easily melt anyone's worry away.

He walked to the center stage as cheering broke out, two men in black and Junko Tanako behind him.

"It looks like a giant... ducky... whaley sorta thing? Maybe?" He scratches his head. Then blinks. "Oh, right, we have that whole... bad guy... thing going on here." He coughs.

To be fair, their opponents seem just as confused as they are.

The Anoli can wait, Elaine has to figure this out.

"Did you pick it out of the book? Because I certainly didn't pick it out of the book." She would have remembered seeing a giant chicken whale in there, she's sure of it. And yet she heard it speak to her, and there was no sign of her Persona, or Guybrush's chicken for that matter. "You there! Can you lend us a hand? Fin? Wing?"

The whale thing seems to pause for a moment... then hits one of the unsuspecting Anoli with an ability that echoes in the heads of both of them. And the name is oddly familiar.

YOU FIGHT LIKE A DAIRY FARMER.

Said Anoli staggers back, his Persona looking both weak and tired all of a sudden. Guybrush blinks. [Well you DO!] he thinks loudly, in a voice Elaine probably hears.

[A dairy farmer. Is that what we're going with, then?] Elaine thought to herself in reply. So now there was a giant poultry sea monster and she and Guybrush had spontaneously developed telepathy. May as well see this through to the end.

The second Anoli was currently fretting over whether or not to skedaddle. Unfortunately for him, he took too long to decide.

HOW APPROPRIATE, YOU FIGHT LIKE A COW.

The Anoli was knocked off his feet by a sudden force, and disappeared into a puff of smoke. When the smoke cleared, there was nothing there but a cow.

It mooed.

"...Well, I'm not really sure WHY we suddenly have a giant birdfish..." Guybrush whacks the weakned Anoli over the head with the butt of his sword, knocking him out. "...but you know what, at this point I'm really not complaining. Maybe we should ask those weird guys in the Velvet Room about it later."

Once she had a moment to breathe, Elaine... still had no idea what just happened. But at least they were safe for now.

"Y-yes, and explanation would be very nice." She said, trying not to let the sudden pit in her stomach distract her. The last time she visited the room she had discovered something very unpleasant, but now was not the time to bring it up. "In the meantime, dear, perhaps we shouldn't stand in the middle of the free-for-all."

She gestured to the crowds of panicked spectators that were still rushing for the exits, which were now giving the two of them and their magic whale a wide berth.

He leads the way to safer locales. Meanwhile, a former Anoli terrorist goes "Moo."
