Farewell Happy Fields!
Farewell Happy Fields!
☯
What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.
Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).
So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.
---
Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...
There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.
By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...
[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!
You may all start your threads and mingle!]

It's all so interesting.
no subject
[... interesting, Mia you are so weird.]
I guess it would be interesting, if you've never seen anything like this.

[He sighs.]
Pain is just a small part of it, that I know of. It's the stuff that lasts longer than that that they're dealing with here.
[A pause.]
Or something, I doubt anyone would want to hear you say it's interesting to their faces, Miss Mia.

[...She doesn't seem to be anything but curious. Whoops. Empathy skills are still quite lacking.]
no subject
[He may be a jerk, and anti-social but! Light at least made sure the boy had empathy.]
no subject
[Because who feels pain in a video game? They thought Mia's yowling and screaming were her roleplaying. It's why she wasn't that much for fighting.]
But it's no big deal.
[In her world, where death is absolutely not permanent and damage is fixed with an easily accessible item or a spell.]
Do you feel pain?
no subject
Yeah, I do. But it's easy to deal with in my case.
no subject
I wonder, if I'm struck, will I still work like I did in The World? I guess I should be careful.
no subject
[Pain has nothing over a faulty core.]
Don't know, but yeah. Being careful is probably your best bet here. I don't think they'd know how to patch up a cat here.
no subject
So, are events like that common in worlds like these?
no subject
Events like this? ... No, terrorist attacks aren't the norm at all.
no subject
[So that's what they look like in a not-digital setting!]
It seems a lot more effective.
no subject
[He's going to absently scratch at the side of his face and... move to the side since some people come scurrying by. Most likely doctors and nurses, but probably also the screeching fangirls Blues has seen around.]
no subject
[...Though, she pauses. She quiets down, and her voice gets a little somber.]
... Why do I feel sad? My chest feels so heavy at the thought...
no subject
[He goes quiet, thinking about it.]
Probably because there is the fact that unlike robots, or AIs, humans can't come back from certain kinds of injury.
[It's just a guess, but it's one thing he's been aware of during his life and maybe? Mia hasn't.]
no subject
[She doesn't want to think too hard about what that means for Elk. There's a lot of unsorted feelings, now.
At least Blues was more like her. It was difficult to imagine herself dying, so it doesn't cross her mind for him, either.]
no subject
[Hey, he won't push it. Blues isn't the type to outright pry
sneak around and spy, maybe when he's older but not pry.And ha, he's pretty much aware of how and has a good idea of how long he has to live that's the only reason he's blase' about the subject in regards to himself.]
sorry about that, my internet's being a big butt
[And just like that, troubles shoved aside in favor of a more satisfying curiosity and amusement! A+ emotional management, Mia.]
/punches butty internet then
Alright, um...
[He was just going to get out of here and go back to his apartment, really.]
What do you want to do then?
no subject
no subject
[He's just guessing, he's never actually tried to get into someplace that's been attacked liked that.
But hey, a reason to leave.]
But, can't hurt to try?
no subject
[It would be even better if it were the 13th hour, but she's quite tricksy as it is.]
It's just a matter of knowing where to go. I'd like to learn it in this world, too. So let's go see what we can do.
no subject
Lead the way then, Miss Mia.

A simple code can't be reset... so they have to build it by hand. Right?
