Ahh Autumn. The time for harvest, and the normal national holiday that falls on the 24th and 25th. Demons? Angels? Magic? Well nothing's been put on pause, but even the Anoli need to relax once in a while...

With that free time, what's a newcomer like you to do?

Well Hinoto-Ri has much to offer! As they seem to be the only standing city in...well, anywhere, they've tried to merge and adapt as many festivals around the world as they can.

Ergo this Fall festival is a mixture of everything the world could offer. Corn on the cob, Pumpkins, Yaki Imo (Oven-Roasted Sweet Potatoes), Ramen stands, Falafel, caramelized apples...

A giant dragon is tied down in the middle of the waters. At night, you can see a few pixies hover close to it, keeping other monsters at bay. The streets have been decorated as well.

But most importantly, the upper Virgo Ward has been turned in a giant festival area...even more so than usual! Now the millions of stalls don't just try to sell things to you, they sell things to you thematically with this fall! Giant pumpkins and fresh produce made in Libra and Capricorn..did you know that Capicorn has an amazing giant apple orchid, protected by the office of Wands and Swords? Try out some free samples! One taste is enough to convince you that having Persona to irrigate the fields ass a crispness to the fruit..right? Winter outfits...hats are in this year! Listen to some of the new music groups, and get pumped for the upcoming movies!

There is giant mooncake in the middle of all the tents and stalls. Don't worry about the money! Everything's free today! It is a time for sharing and family and...

...being thankful for what you have. No matter how small it might be.

For a city of survivors, Hinoto-Ri is certainly trying to have a good time.

It wasn't every day that Kazuya was whisked away by some mysterious power and dumped in the middle of a brightly coloured, energetic festival without any explanation. He wasn't overly concerned - after all, since becoming the King of Bel, he had mastered the ability that demons had in slipping back to the world of demons - but the strangeness of the situation kept him there.

The battle against God was growing stale at this point, so maybe having a quick break exploring this place would do him some good. Spend a few hours pretending to be human again, eating his weight in sweets, looking at the fairies and decorations, and then go back to resume his reign over demon kind feeling very refreshed and happy.

Brilliant plan.

It was with this reasoning that Kazuya began to stroll around the festival, his dark cape billowing behind him, and his crimson eyes taking in the sights.

... Naoya stopped. Even in his drunken haze he could tell who that was. He staggered towards Kazuya. He didn't feel like he was angelic... and that power could only mean one thing.

"... Kazuya." He attempted to smile a little bit, but he couldn't. Ugh. Alcohol and feelings are a bad mix.

Kazuya stopped when he saw his cousin, his expression one of wry amusement. Oh, Naoya was drunk - god he could practically smell it from over here even without his enhanced senses. That only meant...

"Naoya, what poor karaoke place have you been torturing this time?" he joked, striding over to him with an easy smile. Since taking on the mantle as the Demon Overlord, he had maintained that close relationship with his cousin, even though he knew that he had simply been a pawn for him in the end. At first he had felt a bit angry and hurt over it, but now after some time and perspective? It didn't change much. Naoya was still his cousin and would still help him, and that was all that mattered.

"Are you the reason why I'm here? Did you and Loki decide to zap me to some weird place for a joke?" Kazuya asked once he was close to his cousin. He pressed his hand over his nose though because - damned demonic senses. He could barely stand the smell of alcohol this close. "Wouldn't put it past you when you're drunk..."

"No, actually." He chuckled, ignoring the first question. No one had to know about his drunken karaoke. "There's been some kind of crisis in this world, and we've been given powers to help combat the demons... something like that. I haven't been able to find much about the history here yet."

He paused... how to address this. Fuck it, he's drunk, he doesn't care about making this gentle. "We're from different versions of the same world, I think. Atsuro is as well."

Kazuya levelled his cousin with an intense stare, his amused expression sobering into something more serious. After a tense pause he heaved a great sigh, sagging forwards a little in pure exasperation.

"You're kidding, right? If this is one of your drunken stories I'm going to kick your ass later, Naoya," he grumbled, straightening up again. He pressed his hand against his hip, sweeping his cape back in the same movement. "What do you mean different worlds? How can you tell that quickly?"

"I'm not that far gone." He folded his arms, smirking a bit. "And it's because you feel like a demon, not an angel. As for the powers..."

Naoya took a moment to try to sober up slightly, and there was a blast of energy before Coyote appeared, standing next to him and grinning. The Persona seemed to peer at Kazuya for a moment, and Naoya's eyes widened, before dismissing Coyote and chuckling.

"It seems you've been given an interesting Persona, yourself."

An angel? The hell did that mean? That question was quickly forgotten when his cousin summoned a...well Kazuya at first thought it was a demon, but it didn't feel like one - that and Naoya didn't have to use a COMP to summon it.

"Persona? What?" Kazuya wrinkled his nose, almost borderline pouting in irritation. Dammit, he thought he left those days of not knowing anything behind... "What the hell are you talking about?"

"The power you've been given. That man who appeared to you when you were first brought here. I don't know all of the details myself."

He waves a hand a little unsteadily.

"Supposedly it's a reflection of your true self or something. I'm not sure how much I believe that."

[belfire]

"I see," Kazuya said, still sounding a bit disgruntled. "How the hell do you summon it. Do I have to do a weird summoning ritual or what?"

He didn't feel any different, so how can he summon something he wasn't even aware of?

"It's more of an act of will than an act of ritual. I haven't looked into the specifics yet."

Aka please ask when he's more sober.

"... In any case, you can acquire additional ones as well."

[belfire]

"No point getting additional ones if I don't know how to summon it," Kazuya pointed out with a frown. He had hoped he could have a break from magical nonsense, but he guessed he just stumbled into more of it. What was he expecting anyway...

"Urgh, whatever. Tell me about it later. Where did you get the alcohol? I need a drink."

"... A couple stands by the river. Don't drink too much."

You may be the demon king but you're still his little brother, okay.

"Alcohol doesn't really affect me as much as it does you," Kazuya pointed out with a small grin. It was true! He either had a really high tolerance, or this Bel power reduced the affect of alcohol on him. Either way, he could drink it like it was water and still be more sober than his cousin.

Heh, that was a fun thought.

He definitely misses. Kazuya leaned back slightly, smirking when his cousin's hand patted the empty air before his nose drunkenly. He couldn't hold back a snort of choked laughter at the sight of it - something very unkingly.

Naoya frowned and pulled his hand back. Dammit. He shrugged and tucked his hands in his pockets again.

He's starting to get sleepy.

"Need me to escort you home, cousin?" Kazuya asked mischievously, leaning forwards with a wide grin. It was great to have the upper hand over Naoya for once. "I don't think I should let you wander about by yourself. Come on, tell me where you're sleeping and I'll jump us there."

It was hard to teleport to places he wasn't familiar with, but he was King of Bel, his power was enough to make up for any missed distances and things like that - he only, er, accidentally spliced himself once, and he fixed himself up before anyone had to know (especially Naoya).

"... Yeah. I'm in the Pisces district... one second."

He flipped open his watch and pulled up the map.

"There. The building will be obvious when we arrive."

Kazuya leaned forwards - god this world had future watches as well, that was amazing - and quickly looked over the map. Hm, alright, he could gauge that distance well enough. He doubted they would run into a wall during landing, anyway (again, only happened one or two times - okay five times).

Without a word he grabbed onto his cousin's arm and Jumped.

It'd probably be a bit disorientating for Naoya, he realised. His cousin back in his world was used to him being lazy and simply teleporting them somewhere when walking was too slow or too much effort - however this Naoya probably hadn't been teleported by him much.

Ah. Oh well.

The world flickered from the bright cheery festival to the street of towering apartment complexes, a crackle of black energy fading off as Kazuya's feet lightly landed on the floor. Perfect landing...although-

Kazuya grimaced, letting go of his cousin and sucking in a deep breath, leaning down to brace himself on his knees. That, really took it out of him. That shouldn't've even winded him, but he felt like he just spent an hour shooting a constant stream of Holy Dances.

"Guess I'm tired or something..."

Wonderful. Naoya attempted to keep himself from throwing up, clinging to Kazuya's arm tightly. He did notice his brother's exhaustion and attempted to support him but just ended up leaning on him more heavily..

[belfire]

They probably looked like a right state to any passer bys - especially when Naoya's sudden weight pressing down on his shoulder cause Kazuya to overbalance. He yelped as he pitched forwards and-

King of Bel had an ungraceful tumble, hitting the pavement face first with his ass in the air. Nice.

Naoya tumbled down with him, landing on top of Kazuya.

At least he was soft.

O-Ouch...Naoya wasn't exactly light, and Kazuya let out a strange wheezing noise as his cousin crushed half of the air out of him. "Grck-! N-Naoya gerroff!"

He was pretty light excuse you for insulting his figure - anyway. Naoya rolled off, sitting up on the pavement.

Kazuya pushed himself up, coughing a little as he rubbed his ribs. "You really need to lay off the dango, Naoya. You almost snapped me in half."
