Ahh Autumn. The time for harvest, and the normal national holiday that falls on the 24th and 25th. Demons? Angels? Magic? Well nothing's been put on pause, but even the Anoli need to relax once in a while...

With that free time, what's a newcomer like you to do?

Well Hinoto-Ri has much to offer! As they seem to be the only standing city in...well, anywhere, they've tried to merge and adapt as many festivals around the world as they can.

Ergo this Fall festival is a mixture of everything the world could offer. Corn on the cob, Pumpkins, Yaki Imo (Oven-Roasted Sweet Potatoes), Ramen stands, Falafel, caramelized apples...

A giant dragon is tied down in the middle of the waters. At night, you can see a few pixies hover close to it, keeping other monsters at bay. The streets have been decorated as well.

But most importantly, the upper Virgo Ward has been turned in a giant festival area...even more so than usual! Now the millions of stalls don't just try to sell things to you, they sell things to you thematically with this fall! Giant pumpkins and fresh produce made in Libra and Capricorn..did you know that Capicorn has an amazing giant apple orchid, protected by the office of Wands and Swords? Try out some free samples! One taste is enough to convince you that having Persona to irrigate the fields ass a crispness to the fruit..right? Winter outfits...hats are in this year! Listen to some of the new music groups, and get pumped for the upcoming movies!

There is giant mooncake in the middle of all the tents and stalls. Don't worry about the money! Everything's free today! It is a time for sharing and family and...

...being thankful for what you have. No matter how small it might be.

For a city of survivors, Hinoto-Ri is certainly trying to have a good time.

There were certainly a lot of lanterns and lights here, as with any festival, but what about a person producing their own light? That you don't see everyday, and yet, here is one. She is wearing only shorts and shoes, and the black tattoos(?) covering all of her skin have green borders that glow brightly in the semi-darkness of the evening. For now, she's not doing much of anything, standing a bit away from the kiosks and festivities, looking around confusedly, her lips a hard, thin line and her fists clenched tight.

His obnoxiously never-ending quest to "feed" a ghost stops briefly. Lights? Now what could possibly be causing liholy crap that woman's not wearing a top.

He blushes profusely, looking away. "Uh... sh-should you be dressed like that in a place like this?" he asks, stammering.

"If I can't even dress how I want anymore after getting dragged into this mess of a place, what's the multiverse coming to?" she exclaims before sighing. This place was getting on her nerves.

"...So this is standard, then?" Oh brother. He's heard of different cultural norms, but...

There's definitely something unusual about this woman, though, not even regarding the glowing and all. That spike on the back of her neck, for instance. "Then again, I suspect the standards of most humans don't apply here," he adds, eying her. (While avoiding the bits a guy has no real right to stare at, of course.)

"Yeah, and you'd be right about that, too. Most demons don't mind me showing off the markings." And the goods, she didn't add. Beside, when you stand near Lilith, you might as well be dressed like a nun.

"I guess you've been hearing about the new folks in town?"

"You're a... demon?!" His hand shoots instinctively to a spot on his chest before he catches himself. Wait. She's a demon, but he's not feeling a thing. How...?

He shakes his head. Well, this isn't exactly something to look in the mouth so to speak. If he doesn't react around her, then maybe there's a chance he won't around others? Hard to say. "I'd say so, considering I'm one myself," he replies, shrugging.

Shura held his gaze with her golden eyes. "Yes. I'm a Fiend. Or half of one. It's complicated."

"Heh." Shura finally unclenched her fists. "Look at me, not able to tell the difference between the locals and the newcomers."

"A... Fiend? Is this some sort of classification?" It's the first he's heard of that sort of thing. If it IS something along those lines, well, nuts. It still holds the possibility of everything ELSE causing issues.

He shrugs. "It's not like I have a big neon sign over my head that says, NOOBIE HERE, or something." He pauses. "I don't, right?"

For a demon, she actually seems pretty nice. Not that he hasn't met nice demons before, it just... usually didn't matter much.

"Yeah. In my world, it's a race of demons. All demons have a race they belong to, and demons of a certain race have common characteristics... as expected, I guess."

Now that she's deflated, somewhat, she's easier to talk to. Good thing Nick didn't ask her what was up or something like that. "You don't. I might as well, though, because I'm sure normal people don't glow in the dark like me."

"I see." He pauses. "Just... out of idle curiosity, what would something like a succubus belong in?" he asks. Man, this is probably giving away WAY too much, but forewarned is forearmed.

He scratches his head. "I'm sure there's bound to be some other oddballs. I'm not exactly a normal guy myself, you know." He has a feeling saying "I see dead people" would go over better with a glow-in-the-dark demon woman, but he's never entirely sure about these things.

"Those are of the Night race. I don't get along with succubi very well..." No Shura, don't start talking shop with this poor human... or is he?

"Not a normal guy? What, are you half something?" So much tact.

"Well good. I think we'll get along fine." He nods. Damn succubi.

He rubs the back of his neck. "Er, not so much... actually, I'm a spirit medium," he admits finally. Come on, that can't be the least unbelievable thing for her, right?

Shura blinks, looking confused. "A medium? You mean like... talking-with-the-dead medium, or finding-things-with-a-pendulum medium?"

"The, er, former." He coughs. "I suppose people will find out sooner or later since that's usually how I make my living, but yeah." This never stops being awkward, somehow.

Shura has read a thing or two about the occult when she was human, it helps. But Japanese occult magazines don't talk about Persona, sadly.

"At least you make a living, right?" She looked around, her expression somber. "You'll probably get work here soon enough, too."

"Speaking of which, you haven't tried any of the food stalls around here, have you? I have a really pushy one who's been wanting to try one of every damn thing at the festival, and she's really giving me the runaround," he says, looking mildly annoyed.

Shura shook her head. "I haven't eaten or drank since I got here. You... already met a dead one to talk to?"

He nods. "You never know when you'll run into one. Nobody else seems to notice her at all, though, so I guess she's more of a lingering regret." He burps. "Although apparently she's lingering on dinner or something."

Shura chuckles. "What a strange thing to stay in the living world for!"

He rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. "Yeah, some people just get hung up on the weirdest things. Remind me to tell you about the guy who wouldn't budge an inch until he could get a special edition pair ot shoes he couldn't even take with him." He chuckles.

"If I stay stuck here, I'll ask for sure." She had a feeling she was gonna get to know that story sooner than later...

Sounds like she's pretty antsy to leave again, he mulls to himself. He sticks a hand out. "Well, if you feel the need to ask... name's Nick Reeve. Who knows, we might see each other around."

Shura takes the offered hand, nodding. "Name's Shura. I don't intend to stay, but first I gotta find a way to leave, so there's a good chance we'll see each other again."
