You've proven your worth to the city of Hinoto-Ri and this year the Masquerade is dedicated to you. You deserve the party, considering you saved the city from the Zodiac Monster! Besides, on the most powerful spiritual days, even the demons take a day off and enjoy a time of frightful good times with the humanoids.



The lights are all colored blue and purple, and the streets are filled with partygoers of all ages, in both fantastic and some-not-that-fantastic costumes. Pumpkins appear to be floating in the air, but once you come closer, you realize they are Pyro Jacks attending around. This is THEIR favorite holiday and they wouldn't have let it gone to waste!

Originally the Masquerade was to be celebrated around Scorpio's art center, but with the rebuilding still in process, it was moved close by, with the office of wands preparing all the charms needed. The streets need to be protected, considering the Full Moon was just a few days ago.

If you find yourself without any money, no worries! The Government has given you a bonus paycheck for your hard work last week. Costume shopping should be no problem, and the are still stores nearby selling their wears for last minute shopping!

With a small secure sector, it's sure to be an extra fantastic celebration of dancing, music and just watching both humans and demons going at it without much care. Candy is floating around thanks to the Pyro Jacks, grab something and try not to ruin your teeth. Hey, who IS that guy just passed by? Hard to tell.

After all, with these combination of Halloween costumes and a more high class masquerade ballgowns and masks, who knows is really human and who isn't?

Ah, another party. This city sure did enjoy them. Alcor certainly didn't mind, but he'd also never quite understood the impact of All Hallows Eve. Even still, he'd tried to look the part of just another reveler. There was just one oddity.

He was actually in his human form.

Originally, he wasn't going to go. He was tired, he wasn't really in the mood for a party...especially one that was on a day like Halloween. Always managed to get him riled and wired for some weird reason. But, Kaito wasn't one to give up searching and, one last time, tries to scan for anything involving Saiduq. The String normally stood out and was very hard to miss, and to have it not show up anywhere for the past week was troubling.

So he tried one last time and...there it was. Following it brought him here. To a party.

Hey Saiduq! It's the Shining One!

He looks pissed.

"Hello, Shining One. I did not expect you to arrive without proper dress."

Yes. He's going with that.

He is that oblivious right now.

[awww_yeeeeeaaaah]

He's clenching his jaw so hard his teeth almost crack.

"Where the hell-" Oh oops he cuts himself off at the last second and clenches his jaw again, trying to take a few deep breathes before, just...grabbing Saiduq by the shoulders and dragging him off to a part of the party that's relatively dead.

"Where the hell were you?!" Now whispered and quiet, but still very severe.

Saiduq didn't seem to even care that he was being dragged off, just giving Kaito a curious look until he finally spit out the full sentence. Alcor's look of confusion was almost pathetic.

"...I went to sleep, and woke up with my true form. I thought you would have been pleased."

[awww_yeeeeeaaaah]

...To sleep!? For a freaking week? Okay, calm down Kaito, he doesn't know any better...maybe he didn't even know how long he's been gone.

"You've been gone for over a week! I thought something-"

At something, his voice cracks and he covers his mouth, trying to calm himself again. Thought something terrible happened, thought he wouldn't be around again...

Even still, Alcor could sense the emotion rolling off his Shining One, and sobered himself.

"...you were worried?"

From the sound of his tone (which he was trying to use properly, thanks), he was surprised by that.

Naoya was hanging around the edges of the party, unsure of what to do, when he spotted Alcor and headed over to him. His memory of the star was faint, but clear enough to remember, at least, that presence.

"... Alcor."

"Ah, you are here."

The star seemed jovial enough, if not a little spacy(ier than usual). But hey, that's what happens when you somehow end up at weird holiday parties twice in a row.


"I apologize for not making proper greeting sooner."

"It's all right."

He couldn't really be mad at Alcor. There was just something calming about being around him. It made him feel a bit like a child again.

"How have you been?"

"I had some difficulty when I first arrived, and I fear my memory is not as strong as it could be."

Of course that doesn't mean he's forgotten you, Cain. Precious baby ect.

"...but it seems some of those problems have worked out naturally. I hope you have not had issues likewise."

"Tch. Well, there were issues last week... but they seem to have sorted themselves out."

Well aside from the fact that he tried to murder Yamato and Remiel but. Details. No big.

"It's been a long time since I've seen you in a form like this." He casts back in his memory, trying to think of how this sounded.

Oh, and what did Yamato's bewildered explorations bring him? Alcor, who had finally morphed out of his stupid box form. At first he...intended to try and avoid him - they didn't have to interact, and Yamato was admittedly a bit irritated over Alcor pulling his vanishing act again...

Instead after a pause, he finally strode over to him, announcing his presence with a very displeased sounding; "Alcor..."

"Yamato Hotsuin."

His tone was actually somewhat cold, oddly, or as cold as he could make it. At first Alcor didn't even turn to actually look at him, but did after some time.

"Have you been taking care of my Shining One?"

...oh. Well. That'd be why, then???????

Yamato actually growled at the "my", the noise near inhuman with how it rumbled in the back of his throat. How dare he...? After disappearing and leaving them to fend for themselves again. Yamato no longer needed him, but it rankled to see him pulling the same stunt again with Kaito of all people.

He wouldn't stand for it.

"Tch! Someone had to, as you so happily pulled another of your vanishing tricks," he snapped, taking a sharp, aggressive step forward. "I had to rescue him during that vicious event. Where were you?"

Hey, he called dibs first Yamato, don' be hatin'

Saiduq's face turned pensive at that information, pressing his fingertips to his chin in consideration. What did he...?

"I am glad you took care of his safety." There, let's start with the positive. "However, he met me in tears, and I am concerned about it."

And, as an afterthought, "I did not vanish. I was asleep." TOTALLY MAKES IT BETTER ALKEWR GG

For a moment, Yamato thought he would actually murder Alcor with his bare hands there and then. His hands certainly made an aborted movement as if wishing to clutch at the Star's throat and crush it to mere pulp.

Instead he took a very deep, necessary breath.

"He was most likely in tears because he was worried about you, since you vanished when everything began going to Hell last week, you moronic fool," Yamato said scornfully, throwing Alcor a look of outright derision. "Although I don't know why. You're not worth it."

Yamato is vicious tonight.

But he's totally ignoring the sleeping thing because that is such a lame excuse Alker stars don't sleep. Yamato's going to start shunning you soon.

"I did not want him to worry about me. I was trying to recover more of myself." Alcor's eyes narrowed. "Given your previous reaction to my true form, I figured it was better to act now, instead of waiting until it came to that point again."

It's always amazing how he can be just that much more pointed at Yamato, even if he wishes he didn't have to be. But this was the 'language' Yamato seemed to understand the best.

A big bear paw suddenly poked Alcor's shoulder.

"Excuse me, but... what are you supposed to be?" asked a bear with fake blood on its teeth.

Supposed to- oh right. Costumes.

He'd forgotten about that part.

"I am myself, nothing more."

[demifemme]

"Couldn't find a costume? That's too bad..." the bear said as it adjusted its head. Through the mouth, Alcor might be able to catch sight of golden eyes and markings glowing brightly in the darkness inside the costume.

"I only have one costume, and..."

Alcor seemed to focus, before allowing himself to become encased with black smoke. When it cleared, he was back in star form...with his mask dangling awkwardly off one of his corners.

"I did not feel this was an applicable costume."

Shura blinked. Several time. Then removed her bear head for a better look.

"I'm not sure I even understand what I'm seeing."

Alcor shifted back, smiling like a kid with a secret.

"I have heard that reaction often, don't worry. It is something many find difficult to conceive."
