Farewell Happy Fields!
Farewell Happy Fields!
☯
What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.
Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).
So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.
---
Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...
There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.
By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...
[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!
You may all start your threads and mingle!]

Open but... who wants to see this grumpbot really?
... At least when the damage is something basic and easily fixed. Which certainly isn't the case for this robot, DLN 000 or Blues as anyone who has actually talked to him knows him as. Having an unstable core is pretty much what got him in here
and taking on some Anoli big shots probably helped with that too.So, 'waking up' from such a thing actually causes Blues to have a feeling of 'deja-vu', as he rubs at his face and sits up. It's only when he notes that he's most certainly not in Light Labs, it's too brightly lit, and he's not hearing the Doctors Light and Wily arguing, in fact he is more aware of the noises you'd hear in a pretty busy hospital, that the feeling goes away.
And of course that means he's going to get up and try and leave, removing any cords or wires that are attached to him first. Unless someone shows up and interrupts him that is.

"Uh, well I was supposed to make a delivery to a Mr. Blues, but I didn't know you were checking out already. Whoop," he comments sheepishly. "Boy, must've been a pretty minor injury."
no subject
They're actually very metal looking instead.
"Not being human helps," he responds, tone dead pan.

a fault of the mun'sunknown.no subject
"So what do you want?" He isn't even going to ask how this weird guy knows his name, since he had said it over the network shortly after he arrived here. That and asking about that would be quite silly.

He pulls out the standard gift basket and clears his throat. "'Just a friendly little delivery from the Mays Corporation, wishing you a quick recovery after your brave actions during our recent crisis!'" he recites. He's beginning to lose energy saying this over and over. "Promotional stuff. We care for the visitors. That sorta thing."
no subject
And... He looks at the basket and promptly says. "I can't use that for anything. And what is the Mays Corporation?"
Blues is so new to Hinoto-Ri he probably squeaks, that and sticking to his aparment before all this probably didn't help.

guybrush how do you even know what capitalism is, it wasn't invented yet in the 17th centuryno subject
"Not buy anything from them, really." Which is easy for Blues, he's a jobless hobo after all.
"But really, that's kinda useless to me," he gestures at the basket before finally closing the open panel on his chest. "So you can keep, Mister."

"By the way, I'm Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate (tm). I was at the stadium too. Got lucky though."
no subject
"Wonderful for you. Guess you didn't try and handle the shooter?"

no subject
"And no one died doing it... I hope."

You! Hey! Right, your name is Blues. Wait a moment!
[Hey it's that cat lady! That sure wasn't just a trick of video.]
no subject
...
[Well, she's taller than he expected?]
no subject
I've been looking at everyone, but I'm especially curious about what happened to you.
[She had never seen genuine injuries before, so she didn't know to not make light of them.]
no subject
[Which well, he looks fine. No outer injuries to see, really, again the joy of being a robot.
Then again internal injuries don't really show.]
And nothing happened, I helped and it didn't do much, really.
no subject
It's all so interesting.
no subject
[... interesting, Mia you are so weird.]
I guess it would be interesting, if you've never seen anything like this.

[He sighs.]
Pain is just a small part of it, that I know of. It's the stuff that lasts longer than that that they're dealing with here.
[A pause.]
Or something, I doubt anyone would want to hear you say it's interesting to their faces, Miss Mia.
no subject
[...She doesn't seem to be anything but curious. Whoops. Empathy skills are still quite lacking.]
no subject
[He may be a jerk, and anti-social but! Light at least made sure the boy had empathy.]
no subject
[Because who feels pain in a video game? They thought Mia's yowling and screaming were her roleplaying. It's why she wasn't that much for fighting.]
But it's no big deal.
[In her world, where death is absolutely not permanent and damage is fixed with an easily accessible item or a spell.]
Do you feel pain?
no subject
Yeah, I do. But it's easy to deal with in my case.
