What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

[Aqua had been one of the more 'fortunate' ones who'd found themselves caught in an explosion. And by fortunate, it means that she just barely kept from breaking her spine due to her armor that magically seemed to have disappeared when the medics had pressed the button on her left arm (much to her displeasure, as that arm had been broken in a few places).

Overall, she was one of the luckier ones in the ICU. It wouldn't surprise her if she were moved to one of the normal rooms soon, either. The others here needed the doctor's attention. The only thing that had kept her in the hospital?

Both arms were burned from shielding her, the metal armor not fully protecting her from the heat before her Persona could summon a wave to put them out. As was a small part of her back and side. At least with her magic, she could help the doctors heal her and those nearby for the first few days she wasn't completely exhausted. Curaga and Esuna were her new/old best friends.

*Awake or asleep, either way.... Avitus was heading around, combing his wings for loose feathers and leaving them for people, the way some would leave flower bouquets.*

*he stepped in quietly, tugging a somewhat loose feather out with only a little sigh to indicate he'd held his breath as he did so. It was a large black one, nearly a foot long and almost half a foot wide, and he looked for a place to leave it, so that she'd easily spot it, but where the doctors wouldn't think it was in the way and get rid of it. Nightstand, maybe? Hmm....*

[Aqua was in a vague state of sleeping and waking because, what is sleeping without moving? She does not comprehend this, but it hurts to do so.

It's also when she realizes someone else is in the room, and she nearly summons her Keyblade before realizing what this person was doing.

And that this person was blue.

And he had black wings.

Oh... ah... I was just... going to leave you this. *He smiles a little and holds up the feather for her to see it a little better -- it's definitely one of his own, jet black and huge. And soft-looking. And... he's offering it to her.*

*well, he did look kinda pretty...? He could prolly pass for a teenage girl himself, and his robes were kinda dress-ish, to boot. He'd be more of an angel if he weren't actually a vampire, but shhh, that's just details, right?*

...Can I ask why you're giving them? [She's honestly curious, distracted by why he could possibly be giving his own flowers. Hey so long as you don't bite her or her friends it's cool.]

My clan's hunters protect the humans, where I'm from... so the humans seem to consider our feathers to be good luck. And... I just thought that... maybe people would like them?

*trying not to look all that self-conscious, but-- well, she did ask.* I know flowers are more traditional, but I seem to lack a ready supply of those. ....And a lot of these are coming loose....

[ Sora's been hurrying around the hospital, seeing if he can find anyone, everyone. He just worries about his friends and wants to make sure they are okay. While walking in the ICU, he looks and notices Aqua, looking a little surprised. Peeking in, he looks worried ]

I'm...probably not the Sora you're used to, but is it okay if I come in?

[ Not to say that he wouldn't come in anyway. He knew that Ven would be worried if he were here..]

[Oh, Sora... If he had any idea why she ended up stuck in here too, he'd probably be asking if they were related in some way. Only she'd been there at ground zero when it happened, and she was going to make sure her friends got out of it alive. How odd that it had been when she was going back to make sure when she got cornered.

Still, when she hears that voice... she can't help but smile a bit. There even may be a whispered "silly" in there, somewhere.]

Even if you aren't... you're still Sora. [She nods faintly.] Of course you can.

[He'll always be the boy she met on the islands who would do anything for his best friend, who accepted the promise to keep him safe if he started walking down a dark road. The one who reminded her of Ven so much.]

[ Sora smiles and looks at her as he enters, finally getting to speak to her a little more. He kind of remembers her as a child, but the memories are a little fuzzy. All he remembers is promising to take care of Riku...]

Are you okay? [ Well, obviously not, but he'd ask anyway. He feels bad he wasn't there for any of them... ]

[Yeah... sorry about that not being able to talk all that much back home. Didn't get much of a choice after spoilers with an X all over happened.]

Mm. Just a few burns and a broken arm. Not that big a deal, but I guess they haven't heard of Esuna in this world...

[Not going to mention they are being paranoid about possible spinal injuries. Seriously, she's fine.]

You? [Because if she remembers right, he likely didn't like being helpless...]

[ Sora's feeling a little down, but he refuses to tell anyone that. He'll help where he can, given the circumstance! ]

I'm good! I just wanted to check on all of you...you're...Aqua, right?

[Pleased with his earlier success in finding Xion, he's back at it, peeking into each room looking for familiar faces. It's been rather slow going, as the smile has left his face and his brow's a bit more creased... but then there's that familiar shock of blue hair, and he almost falls over from stretching to try to look inside better.]

Aqua... you too?

[She'd felt that darkness coming closer slowly, the darkness that could only belong to one person in their worlds if only she knew, sob. If it weren't for what she knew, it likely would have sent her into a panic. But it doesn't, and instead she blinks awake just before he makes it to her room.]

Xehanort...? [Seriously, how is she not surprised he found her.] Mm... Not as bad as the others, though. ...Or how I left a few of the people who attacked us.

[Pissed not!mom was pissed, okay. She'll totally be fine soon.]

[He gives a little wave, taking a step or two into the room but not coming too close. His eyes fix on her, taking in the scope of injuries that he can see.]

Guess you guys got more than you bargained for.

[He manages to keep all of his feelings on this matter out of his words, delivering the line listlessly.]

[Oh, Xehanort... Unfortunately, she has to nod slightly. The fact that she is angry at two people in particular (and for some odd reason, the amnesiac is exempt oO;) is likely helping the situation a little as she carefully sits up slightly on the bed.]

More like expected with the mayor egging them on so publicly, though I can't say everyone else was so prepared...

[She manages a small smile, motioning with her good hand. It's okay to come a little closer.]

The hospital is rather full...

[His eyes flicker around the room for a moment before returning to her. He's not sure if it's something he should do, or try to do... she has been kind to him, though, so perhaps he does owe her at least the courtesy. Then again, he's not even sure if he can do it outside of that feeling of needing to be able to do something...]

I'm sure you're capable of looking after yourself, but... [a downwards glance] if there's anything I can do.

[Even though he had been sticking close to Xion, Aqua was one of the other friends that Sora was worried about. About a day passes before he finally manages to catch her at a time when she's awake, and he's happy that he's finally caught her at a good time. Or, well, as good of a time as you can get in a situation like this.

He tries to speak quietly, though, just in case she's still resting.]

Hey, Aqua? Can I come in?

[Of course he'll understand if she really needs to rest, but...admittedly, he hopes that the answer is yes.]

[Aqua couldn't fault him for that, and when she wasn't casting Curaga on herself so she could get well faster, she'd been resting. Magic took a lot more concentration the first two days considering she wasn't summoning her Keyblade or using any other medium to do so.

Her eyes had been closed when she sensed that light, and she smiles a bit.]

Of course you can.

[Because really, all she'd been doing was reminiscing a certain incident involving getting stuck on a rooftop and accidentally injuring herself in getting down. At least until--]

After all, they do have you listed as my nephew...

[Guess how you didn't hear all the horror stories about Xion's possible condition first.]

Wha-...really?

[That catches him by surprise, for sure. But...it's not his first time suddenly gaining a new family member, and so he's smiling by the time he's pulled up a nearby chair, sitting down next to Aqua's bed. He doesn't mind being seen as her nephew at all. He just wasn't expecting it.]

How are you doing?

[He's still smiling, but it's obvious that he's worried. Even though he's used to fighting, and has even been injured and seen his friends be injured plenty of times before, he's not used to it being this bad for so many people. He just wants everyone to be okay again, including Aqua.]

Well... they asked me before if I had any relatives in the city, and with Xion's condition... [She gives him a wink.] Sorry I couldn't ask you about it first, but you were listed as her brother.

[Guess who else she adopted on seemingly accident because Terra is listed as her brother? ...Yeah, how many times do we have to cast Bind on Riku before he stays in bed?]

I'm alright. ...To be honest, I'm more worried about the others.

[Which is...part of the reason she listed herself as a guardian to a few of them, ha ha. Not to mention trying to keep in contact as much as possible since at least two more of them are in the ICU. Still, all those people... She's smiling too, but it's obvious that she shares the same concern as Sora.]

[Sometimes in the late afternoon, Riku enters the room quietly... or as quietly as he can with his current handicap anyways. He can barely keep himself from doing anymore than hiss at the sight of her, eyes widening slightly - he wouldn't have thought that she would get hit this badly.

Though then again, given how that battle had gone...

He shakes his head, before finally speaking up.]

...How are you feeling?

[Please... tell him this looks worse than it actually is.]

[Like that would have stopped her from noticing, if he could have silently walked in. Still, she stares for a moment as if saying, "Riku, what are you doing. Why are you walking around to see us with that injury."

But it's Riku; she can likely guess it's probably the same reason Terra would give. So she sighs. Really, Riku. It's a flesh wound.]

Like casting Transcendence on the Anoli and the mayor to see which one has sense knocked into them first.

[Yeah, she mad. Very mad and disappoint.]

I'm fine. They just won't let me move much yet because they're afraid of other injuries that don't exist. [It looks worse than it actually is.] ...Not like it's stopped me before, though.

[This is the woman who got smacked into the ground by countless Keyblades (hard), jabbed, shot at, and yet still managed to stand up and help Ven break the X-blade. It could have been worse.]

[...Okay so it probably wouldn't have. BUt it's still the polite thing to do in a hospital, so. Also, have a "Don't you say anything, I'm not changing my mind on this :|"-lineface before he pulls himself closer to his bed and eases into the chair near it.

(He is just sitting down because it's convenient. Not because he's tired or anything.)]

Hm. That's a nice thought.

[Mostly because common sense for everyone would likely mean less problems for the rest of them on the long run.]

That's good to hear.

[Does he look relieved? Well... probably very much so. He's seen how some others had ended up on his way here and well... over it certainly could have been worse. For himself, for Aqua... for all of them.]

[Fair enough, though she seems a little relieved that he's, you know, sitting down since that doesn't look like a walking cast. Maybe that's why she smiles ever-so-slightly at him, almost like responding with "Like I could, since I'd be doing the same."]

Could probably think of better if I had the time.

[Which she did, but like she would mention it when all she wanted to do was finish what she'd been working on in her apartment. Sob.]

What about you...?

[She heard about Namine and Xion, all thanks to the hospital staff. Still, it doesn't stop her from worrying further since a few more have yet to check in.]

[He may or may not look just a tiny bit relieved himself - he's been walking around for hours okay, and he isn't used to the crutches - and there is a small grin flicker over his face.

"Thought so."]

I think, you'll have enough of that to come up with something in the next week or so.

[Given that she doesn't look like she's going to be released all too soon. He sighs at her question.]

Broken shin, so I'll be stuck with the cast for a while. Otherwise I'm fine.

[Just bruises and scratches and nothing that won't be healed in a day or two.]
