Summary: We have a pool now!  Summer fun for everyone!

[It's summer, and what would summer be without a pool?  Well, thankfully for the good citizens and Visitors of Hinoto-Ri, the public pool is finally open for business!  With three different pools, a snack bar, and plenty of space on the grass for playing frisbee or just laying out to get some sun, there's plenty of summertime fun for everyone!  There are also a number of pool toys to use, ranging from basketball hoops and plastic balls, water noodles, boogie boards, and just about anything else you can think of.]

MEDIUM POOL

[This pool ranges from two and a half feet deep at the shallow end to six feet deep at the deep end. There are also two water slides at the deep end of the pool for visitors' enjoyment.]

[Nano is hanging out in the shallow end of the pool, clad in a simple white swimsuit as she splashes around, enjoying the nice cool water. Apparently despite her robotic body, she's still able to at least hang out in waist-deep water. Thank goodness that key doesn't rust, either.]

[Nano yells playfully, giggling as she splashes back at Midori.]

[Midori doesn't mind getting soaked in the process of continuing to splash water at her friend.]

[A new place to explore? Of course Tachikoma has come! Look, there's even some friends here! She heads over to the side of the pool and waves to Nano to get her attention.]

Hi Nano! I came to see this place too!

Is that swimming? You know, I never knew how to swim before? Section 9 is mostly urban and land base, so I never had any info about.

But now I know how to swim! And in a body that can float! I can't wait to give it a try!

[As usual, she's excited about new things. But if Nano takes a moment to look, she'll notice that Tachikoma is here in her usual clothes. No sign of a swimsuit. Or a towel. Or anything one would bring to a pool, really.]

W-wait...! You don't even have a swimsuit, Tachikoma-san!

[Tachikoma was about to just jump in when Nano's shout stopped her. She stares at Nano for a moment, a look of confusion on her face.]

...A swimsuit? What's that?

Like what I have on! It's special clothing you have to wear when you're going to go swimming.

[Earlier in the day, Hizumi manages to goad a group of citizens into a game of water basketball, and judging by the fervor there's more riding on the outcome than just a matter of pride.

He won't be available to chat during the game itself for obvious reasons, but it's quite a heated match, and likely to draw all kinds of attention even as Hizumi proceeds to carry his team to an overwhelming victory. Once the match is over, he's practically jumping for joy (...as much as one can in the water, anyway).]

Yessss! Free yakiniku-!

Ruri sits on the edge of the pool under a bit of shade watching the other girl zip into the water and tilts her head slightly.

"Is that fun?"

"It's tons of fun! C'mon, come try it!"

Sitting there like that just looks boring.

Ruri looks up at the sky and shakes her head a bit.

"Maybe in a bit. I'm not really wet yet and trying to finish a few computer projects."

"Booo. Who works on computers at the pool?"

Atsuro. Naoya probably. That lady in the black bikini over there. Uh.

[Judas is sitting on the side of the pool dangling his feet into the water. He didn't really want to be here, but Zoe.

He has a feeling he's going to be saying 'but Zoe' a lot.

Bother? Push into pool? (He's a skinny dude you could probably do it-)]

[Such as now. Since Judas was just chilling by the pool, but Zoe decides it would be amusing to sneak up behind him and poke his back lightly.]

[Judas flails... and immediately falls into the pool.]

[... No don't laugh Zoe, he'll get grumpier if you do. So she just snorts to herself before jumping into the pool near him, and waiting for him to resurface.]

[He comes up for air in a splutter of water and hacking.]

Zoe!

[When no one is looking, a strangely-dressed man appears to blink into existence - those with their COMPs handy may receive an alert that this man is a new arrival.

Unfortunately, his arrival put him right next to one of the pools. Enough that his feet were hanging off the edge partially. Simon's balance proves how not-great it is, and he promptly flails a bit and makes a pretty big splash as he falls into the water. Thankfully, it's the deeper end of the pool, so there's not any unfortunate impacts with the pool itself.]

Wha--WHOA!

[Nano happens to be walking by the adult pool and toward the snack bar when all of this happens. She lets out a surprised yelp as Simon splashes into the pool, but then runs to the side to lean over and see if he's all right.]

A-are you okay?

[By the time Nano gets to the poolside, Simon's hoisted himself to get his head above the water, and grasping onto the edge while he coughs out water. On the actual solid ground, however, is a very angry, very wet little brown mole-like animal who's making very annoyed noises at Simon.]

Ah...uh. Yeah, I think so.
