▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get lucky.

▼ Ode of the Newcomer

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[(Make sure you read it!) This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts (we're testing it out to see this works well or not.)

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

He never slept very well during the 13th hour, so of course he was out, walking the neighborhoods, on the lookout for anyone who was new.

It was then that Tatsuya spotted the familiar-looking Cuss High uniform from a distance, and the person was waaaaay to short to be Eikichi and he really doubted it was a random Cuss High student. It could only be one person. It had to be...

"...Jun?" Tatsuya was still far away, and he managed to run toward Jun and...whoever he was talking to, he couldn't see very well from this angle. "Jun!" He was louder this time, and running faster, which probably scared the shit out of the already frightened mugger.

Tatsuya managed to accomplish two things with that: completely blindside Jun's brewing rage, replacing it with a look of incredulous shock, and also causing the poor criminal to nearly piss his pants.

The surprise was apparently enough for Jun's grip to loosen, because as soon as he got the chance, the man came free and ran off, screaming for his life. Jun hardly noticed.

"Ta...Tatsuya?" No way. It can't be...

It is, and he was about to say something, probably inadvertently ~~gay~~ romantic or touching or even saying that he missed Jun really bad, but...

He noticed the guy running off and screaming.

And then Tatsuya gave Jun a "Whaaaat just happened???" look.

"I..."

And this is the part where Jun decided that the ground was pretty interesting, and looking at it was a great way of hiding his shame.

"I lost my temper." And we all know how well that usually turned out. "I-I'm sorry...."

That snapped him out of his confusion, and Tatsuya came closer to Jun, trying to fix...this...

"Forget it, it's fine." That guy looked shady anyway, forget him!!

"Are you alright?"

"No."

Oh, yep. Heee's angry again! But the random shady guy hardly registers a second thought from him right now. There were much, much bigger fish to fry.

"What are we doing here? None of this is supposed to be happening...! Everything was supposed to get-- fixed-- and now we're stuck in another one of their asinine engagements?!"

He couldn't even tell if he was getting angry or upset at this point.

...What should he say to that? That he was at least glad he could see Jun one last time? How...selfish would that be? Maybe... he wasn't lying, about Tatsuya being so selfish that couldn't...

Now it was Tatsuya's to stare at the really interesting ground again.

"I...I don't know. Everything's still really vague." Should...he...bring up that things were possibly fixed anyway? Maybe when Jun calmed down a bit.

He wasn't angry at Tatsuya-- really, he wasn't. Hell, after the Masked Circle thing, he couldn't really bring himself to be angry at Tatsuya. But with an answer like that... it was nearly impossible to maintain his composure.

"But why?!" Well he didn't mean to yell, but-- "How are they expecting us to just-- do this again...?!"

"Hey, hey..." Come on, Jun, let Tatsuya pat and grip your shoulder (it's second nature at this point, whenever Jun does the Headclutch), let's all take a deep breath...

"From what I found out here, I...think it worked. There are people who came here who were already Persona users, and they're from 2012, they know about Sumaru..." He took another deep breath.

"I saw Maya-nee..." It was kind of a weak offer up, but it was all he had at this point.

He complied, at least a little, carefully bringing his hands back down to sort of hover in front of his torso.

They...hadn't failed? Even if they weren't there, they hadn't-- was it really?

She... She was alive?

His shoulders started to shake just slightly, and to resist the urge to claw at his temples again, he numbly leaned forward against Tatsuya chest, his fingers grabbing tightly to the other's shirt.

"Sh....She's alive...?"

"Yeah... I saw her and...I couldn't believe it either!"

He should...probably say that she didn't remember him and, given everything else, that fact alone was a good sign, but he could wait a bit on that...

"B... But how? I-- We saw her...!"

He supposed that wasn't the important part right now, but...how?

"...I guess we didn't screw up so bad..." He was kinda calm now at least!

He nodded, wondering how to put this delicately.

"I...think she's from the different timeline."

"Different...timeline?"

Of course he knew the theory of parallel universes and alternate universes and all that sort of thing, but... a Maya from a different timeline? Either it was too much to fathom, or he really didn't want to fathom it.

Hmm... Maybe he should save it for when Jun isn't so rattled.

"Yeah." Sudden change of subject. "Eikichi's here too...I don't know what they're playing at, but at least we're together..."

Although honestly, a little part of that was bugging him too. They could leave, sure, and go back to where they were. ...And leave and forget all their friends! So it wasn't really a choice and was, in fact, dumb as hell in his opinion but...

...He could have this, at least.

The change in subject didn't get past him. He quietly took note of it, and it made him frown. But he supposed Tatsuya wasn't really up to talk about it right now, and he was quickly distracted with the subject change anyway.

Even Eikichi was here...?

"We... we can all actually stay together again?"

His entire body seemed to slump. He... the thought hadn't even crossed his mind-- it seemed too good to be true.
