Something Old, Something New

▼ Something Old, Something New (13th hour & arrival log)

▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get lucky.

▼ Ode of the Newcomer

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[(Make sure you read it!) This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts (we're testing it out to see this works well or not.)

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

"Huh-- can so!" For someone that always wanted to find a non-violent solution though, he says that like a ten year old being overly defensive.

"Wu Kong helps me, but I can fight with my own magic too, you know, as long as I have this," He says, holding up his cellphone and waving it a bit for emphasis.

"Uh, and I have a Persona too, so there's that."

"... By using a phone."

Unimpressed! Also, huh a persona eh? Blues hasn't actually figured his own out, or really gets the whole thing. Then again he doesn't see a reason too but maybe...

"Show me."

And he's going to bring his arm cannon up again, and wait to see just what Daichi will do.

"I know it's kind of weird, but a while back my friend and I downloaded this app just for fun and--"

Wait, what did he say. Why was he lifting the cannon up again?!

He took a half-step back when he saw the cannon brought back up again, his hands coming up in defense once more as he grimaced.

"What?! I'm not just gonna attack someone I just met!"

Better think fast, since Blues isn't saying anything as he fires off a few small shots. Hopefully Wu Kong is strong to the Light element since some of the shots are aimed at the demon, while others are aimed to just barely miss Daichi.

And for now he doesn't move from where he is standing. No point in trying to dodge things if he doesn't have an idea of where they're coming from.

Surprisingly, Daichi does think fast-- he immediately jumps, though it's not one out of panic; it's to dodge the shots that are now being fired at him, and he keeps on running. Wu Kong takes a few hits, but starts floating around in the opposite direction of Daichi.

Wu Kong lets out another screech, though this time it's Might Call, a spell to increase his and Daichi's chances for a Critical Hit. When the teen has a moment to stop running, he turns towards Blues and flicks his cellphone, casting a Bufudyne spell concentrating right on Blues' person.

Them splitting and going in different directions wasn't what Blues was expecting, but he was expecting retaliation. So Blues was going to move too, a lot faster than one would think a guy like him could move, firing another couple of shots at Wu Kong.

Which is probably not a very good idea, focusing his attention on the demon instead of Daichi. That and Blues still hasn't got a good idea on how to deal with 'magic', the ice attack does hit.

And boy does it hurt. For Blues at least.

Not the greatest idea indeed. Wu Kong could take the hits-- he had the best constitution of Daichi's entire team, and instead of retaliating, the floating monkey simply held its staff in front of itself in defense. Though that didn't stop him from screeching unhappily as Blues continued to assault it.

Unlike before, Wu Kong had stopped moving while it held its defense, allowing Daichi to scurry around as he please. While Blues was distracted with his demon, Daichi did just that, and ran up behind Blues, his cellphone pocketed and his fist drawn back to deliver one hell of a punch to the small of Blues' back. And for a human, he sure packed one hell of a punch-- definitely more than the average teenager his age should be able to.

...Of course he was also punching a frikkin' robot, which he didn't learn until right now, so once the hit landed, he immediately withdrew back and let out a slight hiss at the now fairly prevalent pain in his hand.

This seems to be the time for not great ideas! Since Daichi, that robot you punched has stopped shooting at the demon and is kind of... Sparking.

That doesn't look safe. And even though he's sluggish because of the reason he's sparking, yay power core freaking out, Blues is going to turn and grab at Daichi all in one go. If he get's a hold of Daichi?

Whelp, he's not actually trying to be gentle with his grip and he can crush steel pipes.

"Wha--?!"

You know, normally Daichi had pretty good reflexes; they were practically essential during the invasion, though while they didn't disappear completely, they did atrophy a bit with all the time he spent having a sort of more normal life nowadays. So while he'd been able to withdraw most himself away pretty quickly, his arm got caught in Blues' grasp, along with everything that went along with it.

"Augh-- W-Wait wait hold on a minute--!" He winced and took to a knee from the pain of you know, a robot crushing his wrist. Not. A good feeling.

"What's with the sparking?! Are you OK?!"

A robot who doesn't have any programming to stop him from completely shattering said wrist either, but really Daichi asking about the sparking is what'll save the poor limb from more damage. Since Blues let's go of him.

"I'm fine." Although even as he says that he brings a hand to his face and steps back from Daichi, grimacing and still sparking.

He's going to make a run for it but... He does remember that Wu Kong is still here and that might just get the demon to chase him for what just happened, so! Staying put for the moment.

He didn't have to exaggerate that sigh of relief when the robot released him, taking a few steps back and cradling his wrist to assess the damage.

"You sure don't look fine to me," Daichi comments with a frown, when he looks back up and sees the guy still sparking. "Do you have some kind of power short or something?"

Thankfully, it seems like Daichi's more concerned with the fact that the guy that randomly attacked him was sparking than fighting, as Wu Kong was simply floating a few feet away in his defensive stance until he got another order.

"No."

That was the only answer Daichi will get out of Blues in regards to his own well-being. And since neither Daichi or Wu Kong seem to be interested in attacking again, he's going to start moving away from the teenager and the demon.

But not without some parting words.

"You need to make sure you know what you're fighting. Before you punch it."

Daichi scoffed just slightly, which was pretty unlike him-- but hey, after something like that, can you really blame him.

"Yeah, like you're one to talk!" Well, Daichi's not a demon or a robot, but seriously, who just all out and attacks people like that?!

Nevertheless, despite Daichi's pained hand and his usual reluctance with summoning him, he certainly wasn't going to just let Blues get away like that. He focused for a moment, the figure of Agni appearing above him, and... using a Media spell to try and help Blues out. Go figure.

Blues just. What. What just happened. Blues has no idea, and is sort of freaked out so.

He's gonna book it. And hey, at least he's not trying to shoot at Daichi again? Or break the kid's wrist. Just running away, yep.
