▼ Something Old, Something New (13th hour & arrival log)

▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get lucky.

▼ Ode of the Newcomer

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[(Make sure you read it!) This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts (we're testing it out to see this works well or not.)

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

[Sirius shrunk back in fear as the beast turned to the two of them. It... seemed annoyed. Not hurt.]

[The fear only worsened as the creature used Trans-dimensional Phasing, making it fade out of sight as Noda tried to attack it.] Wh-

What is this!?

[Before he knew it, it had turned on Noda, aiming a Lunge at him.] Noda! [Without thinking, Hinata pointed his handgun at it, firing off a few rounds into the red, glowing mass that was its body.] Get out of there, idiot!

[When the attack missed, Noda froze in place, unable to see where the enemy was.]

What?!

[He didn't see where the enemy reappeared, but Hinata's voice did have him react as he jumped away from the enemy as it attacked, Amarok also doing the same to avoid getting hit as well.]

Did that thing disappear for a moment!?

Are you okay?! [ Otonashi checks over Noda, searching for injuries. Thankfully, he seems fine from what the redhead can see. For now, he pulls his own handgun on the beast, aiming instead for those... tentacles?

You know, he'd rather not think too far into what this thing is. ]

Our Personas... they aren't working against this! We should fall back and look for another way! [ EVERYTHING HAS A WEAKNESS. Even if they can't find or manage it right now. ]

[It was rare to see Noda genuinely spooked, but this wasn't the time to linger on it. He continued firing the occasional bullet at the dubious looking creature, hoping to keep its attention long enough for Noda to make himself scarce. Otonashi's suggestion that they fall back is definitely a welcome one.]

You two go on ahead, I'll catch up!

[Being an athlete, he figures he can run faster, so he should naturally be the one to hold the monster off so they can make a break for it.]

[Hey hey, anyone would be spooked if the opponent just disappears right in front of you the moment you try to axe it down.

But that scare did get the better of him, and Noda's not so willing to get up in front of the enemy as much anymore as he willingly listens to Otonashi's order as he starts backing away to run.

He's not going to run just yet, no. He doesn't want to be the first to run!]

[He hesitates. Of course he doesn't want to leave anyone alone to fend this thing off. Still, what choice did he have?]

... Call or... fire off some kind of, um... any signal if you need us! [Since Noda won't go, Otonashi sprints off and watches over his shoulder. Both Hinata and the beast grow smaller in the distance, both of them slowly disappearing into the darkness of the caverns.]

Got it! [He takes a moment to peer over his shoulder, offering Otonashi a confident wink and salute before turning back to the task at hand.]

[He ~~dies~~ lives to be helpful, let him have this.]

You better not get defeated, or I will personally slice you into pieces later.

[He gives a look at Hinata before quickly turning around to follow after Otonashi.]

[Noda, that is not helpful.]

The idea isn't to fight it..! That's― [He quiets, noting the faint speck of light up ahead. Another person? An exit? Whatever it is, that source seems like the most logical thing to pursue. There are a few things moving in the darkness, but it might be easy enough to avoid them if they choose to.

Nothing can be worse than that tentacled beast, anyway...]

[As coarse as the words are, he appreciates the sentiment, Noda.]

[He's accepted that he can't kill it, so the shots fired after the two boys retreated was just to keep the creature's attention on him. It worked, leaving Hinata peering over his shoulder at quick intervals, waiting until the two were out of sight before he stood from his crouch, backing away slowly as he kept firing the occasional round into the glowing body of the beast.]

[And when the timing was right, he turned on his heel, sprinting down the street. Hopefully one of them would grab him on his way by, or at least call out to him.]
