▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get lucky.

▼ Ode of the Newcomer

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[(Make sure you read it!) This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts (we're testing it out to see this works well or not.)

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

As soon as Zero heard the voice, his head moved instantly to the source's direction. His legs visibly bent, as if an animal ready to flee. He had done that a few times already with those not as quick to close distance, and was willing to make others give chase once more, but after a second his stance straightened up again, slower this time, though his body language still suggested his caution. He was too worn out for this, after all.

He studied her appearance as she moved to him. In turn, she was likely to see by this point the extent of his damage just from his helmet and arms; one of the white spikes' shells was broken apart to reveal an antenna, and numerous cracks appeared throughout him. It was a wonder his frame held together with how deep some of them were. He definitely wasn't human under the surface.

"... What is this place?" It was something more said to himself than to her, still keeping her in sight with his eyes as he moved his head to view his surroundings, though it was clearly audible now with the distance crossed. Her make wasn't a Reploid, nor of a robot made in Neo Arcadian style — she wasn't from that place. Somehow that should have put him at ease, but it begged his question with dread in his tone. Did he get lost when he last passed unconscious and somehow found himself in a different part of the world? Or...

Artificial. He's not human, he's an artificial being. Surprise flashes across her face. And he's a worried artificial being. Afraid, even? Certainly a new arrival. She's already wondering what kind of place he could have come from, if he's in this poor state, and his this wary. She steps closer, but doesn't reach for him. No aggressive moves, nothing abrupt.

"Hinoto-Ri. You're in the city of Hinoto-Ri. You've just arrived, haven't you? Don't worry. It's safe here." Safe is a very relative thing, but she had spent over a year in a simulated hellhole. Hinoto-Ri was like a vacation, in some ways.

Hinoto-Ri. That didn't ring any sort of bells at all. It didn't matter if it was safe here, this wasn't where he was supposed to be. He was supposed to be out there, trying to find the Resistance again.

"I have to go— Urrkh!" In the same instant, he twisted himself to move away, but that sudden burst of movement aggravated his condition, forcing him to stumble sideways before he caught himself, knees and an arm on the ground. His breathing quickened further, and the light on his helmet blinked faster. His resources were dwindling.

"I can't stay here."

He glanced over to her briefly, as if in afterthought before looking back to the side again, though his head hung towards the ground. A ring of thunder sang above them, his features illuminated for a brief moment by a distant lightning bolt, his body sagging lower.

"Aah, don't move, if it hurts you!" It may not have been wise to approach him, hostile and scared as he is, but he was hurt. She had to help him. She would help him. And so she closed in, leaning over him, a hand out to help steady him if it was needed.

"You don't have to stay here. But don't go alone. Don't strain yourself. I can get you to the hospital. They... they can repair or heal anyone, there. No matter what they are." Oh, please let him trust her. Please, let him be convinced. "Please, let me help you."

Help...? Help...that's... what she said...

He sees the blurred hand in his vision, but doesn't respond, his head swaying.

She trusts me... why...?

His slacked, free arm twitches. Its hand moves with shaky motion as it slowly lifts up in the air under the shawl from the side of his bowed body, as if itself unsure of what to do, where to go. It looks in between guarding him and reaching out, stuck in deciding.

... I...

His vision then goes black as his eyes close, and his form falls towards the ground near her, his arm extending out on its own from the momentum of the fall.

Is he going to take her hand? Will he accept her help? There's such hope on her face, as she suspects that he just might...

"Aaah!" And then she dives in with both arms to catch him before he can topple to the ground. "Are you... are you still with it? Can you hear me?" She doesn't expect an answer, but she has to ask. Maybe this will make it easier to ensure that he's cared for, though. She spends some time carefully judging his state, how intact his parts and joints are, and if he can be lifted safely. And if the assessment seems positive? She'll lift him, while using her COMP to call a cab.

She really hoped his systems were stable, and that it was just superficial damage. How sad, to arrive and already be... leaving? She wouldn't let that happen on her watch.

His form is limp, but still durable. Luckily most of the damage appears superficial; the helmet was a good sport in taking the brunt of it, slivers of openings showing more blonde hair underneath. It doesn't seem like any limbs will fall off immediately, not unless significant force or speed is exerted against damaged areas. What's possibly more cause for concern is that his body is very warm to the touch, as if he's overheating.

At most, the dangerous part appears to be a significant laceration on his lower body under his shawl, revealing metal, along with a small leakage of red fluid not very different from blood, and another small leakage of blue fluid nearby that. The rain washes away any significant droppage of resulting purple on the ground, and it's not fast enough to be an emergency. There isn't much telling in how much time is left, however — it could also mean that whatever fluids are meant to sustain his functions are already running dry.

Bleeding? He's bleeding? That's her first thought, when she sees that there's red fluid coming from his wound. But the blue reminds her that no, that's not likely blood... and she has to absently wonder what it is, even as she's taking measures to clean it up and try to stem the flow.

Safely in the back of a cab and having given directions to the driver, she pulls gauze and tape from nano-storage. And then she's laying him out as comfortably as she can on the back seat of the cab. He's sort of in her lap, somewhat. It's not a huge wound, just one that could use some pressure.... so that's what she does.

"I wish I knew more about you. And your systems. I wish I could do more..."

...he likely couldn't hear. That was useless. No more talking, then. She was silent for the rest of the ride to the hospital, and then much more vocal when pulling him out of the cab and carrying him into the emergency room.

"I've got an injured android, here! He's newly arrived, and I'm not sure what did this to him! Can I get some help!?"

Well, whatever they did, it worked wonders, but he was out like a light for a few days. They told him as much when he was released from the hospital three mornings later. He was explained his situation in summary, but was directed to go elsewhere officially.

"When you feel ready to leave, please go to Town Hall nearby in this ward, Leo, and pick up your arrival kit. You'll be briefed there. Have a nice day!"

And so, that was what he would do, except:

"Oh! Someone was checking in on you while you were in. She was the one who found you out there. A ... Ms. Dakki Sigal?"

... "Tell her that her actions will be repaid, and yours as well."

"—A, ah, your name, please! I need to fill this report out..."

But he was already out the door by that point, leaving the place without much further word to anyone, to go on this new mission he found himself on.

A mission he placed upon himself, due to the kindness that person showed him days before. A mission in solitude, helping a place he only just met.
