▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside that night and let the city police and visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get lucky.

▼ Ode of the Newcomer

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[(Make sure you read it!) This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts (we're testing it out to see this works well or not.)

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

"Well, if that theory of yours, that we've left Alpha Omega and are truly in a separate world right now, is correct... We would be in the Realground right now, wouldn't we? Without access to a higher plane, my vibe would be trapped at severely low levels..."

He gives an annoyed shrug.

"I'm not willing to entertain that theory just yet, though. Where are you taking me, Neku?"

... true enough. Pins and Psychs are a UG thing, anyway, right? So if that's what's going on, it makes sense he wouldn't be able to use them here... Then again, did that mean that they had been on the UG back at the station?

"Yeah, I guess so." Something to think about at least.

At Josh's question, though, Neku just smiles, turning back around. "Surprise. You'll see in a minute."

Perhaps an artificial one... or the rules there were simply different. After all, it was probably more interesting to the Consortium that they have their powers for experimentation's sake.

Joshua just rolls his eyes as he follows the other, shaking his head.

"I hate surprises."

"Too bad. You'll just have to deal with it."

Neku's trying hard not to grin. A smile is all he'll allow himself.

A moment later, he's coming up on... a flower shop? Yes, this is clearly where Neku is leading Joshua. Through the door he goes, and Josh better be following. Hopefully Kairi is here. If not... well, at least they'll know to go looking elsewhere.

Lucky for Neku, Kairi is indeed present this fine evening.

It's a nice little shop, very fragrant and colorful with certainly no shortage of happy and healthy looking flowers. As the little bell attached to the door dings to indicate someone had come inside, Kairi pops up from behind the counter with a large bouquet in hand, calling out a 'welcome' to the customers from behind the veil of flowers. She moves to come out from behind the counter and sets the flowers on the flat surface, intending to beam a happy smile at whomever had come inside. She looked significantly happier and healthier than Joshua would've ever seen her in Facility, hair pulled back into a high ponytail and bangs clipped back out of her face with a couple of cute accessories, clothing simple behind a white and red apron with a nametag and a couple of pruning tools stuck in the breast pocket. Her face was fuller and eyes brighter; her diet had obviously become much better since arriving to Hinoto-Ri than it had ever been with Facility's regulated nutrition.

Kairi notices Neku first and brightens, lifting a hand in greeting before both come to rest on her hips with a sassy and mischievous look. "Neku! Good to see you." Her eyes travel to rest on his partner, and her smile falters a little. Her initial reaction is to think that it was the Joshua she had spoke to before, the other Joshua-- but her attention turns to his collar, and her face cycles through several different expressions as she realizes who was standing in front of her. Her expression finally rests on one of wide eyed wonder, lips parted slightly as she attempts to voice the name resting on her lips.

"Joshua...?"

It comes out softer than she'd intended, shaking hands moving to cover her mouth a little in her bewilderment. Kairi stays frozen to the spot for what feels like a long moment before moving to cross the distance between them, heading straight for Joshua. Tears are visibly pricking at the corners of her eyes as she reaches him, placing her hands on his shoulders as she looked up at his face with an expression of disbelief and joy. Her fingers grip a little tighter and she pulls him into a tight hug, pressing her forehead against his shoulder as her body shakes.

...Hey Neku, bet this wasn't the greeting you were expecting between them, huh?

When Joshua noticed their destination was a flower shop, he gave Neku an incredulous look.

"Honestly, you aren't thinking of buying me flowers, are you, Neku? Shouldn't you be getting Shiki flowers instead?"

The Composer still wasn't above the snarky comments, it seemed, though he was in a slightly better mood just because their destination did look rather gorgeous. He couldn't even remember the last time he'd seen a flower shop, especially not one this lively.

He steps into the flower shop after Neku, appreciating the jingle of the little bell above the door, a sound he hadn't even realized he'd missed hearing so much until now. Looking around the shop and the lively flowers, Joshua's eyes land on the girl standing behind the counter, clearly the one tending to all of these flowers.

It takes a moment before realization hits.

The Composer stared at Kairi in disbelief when she greeted Neku, almost instantly taking note of the collar around her neck. His eyes grew wide and he had the urge to completely discount their credibility considering he was blind in one of them...

But when she turned to look at him, when he saw that recognition in her face and uttered his name like that...

Joshua just takes a small step backwards, shaking his head and swallowing hard.

No, this wasn't real... this couldn't be real.

Before he can even get his bearings on the situation, she's suddenly approaching him faster than he can back away, and there are tears in her eyes, and it's all so overwhelming as her arms wrap around him and her forehead presses into his shoulder...

He just stands still for a moment... stunned, brain overloaded...

...before wrapping his arms around her in return, slowly and delicately, as if his hands would go right through her if he wasn't careful...

"Kairi...?"

Joshua looks down, and is wincing as if he was in pain... to the trained eye it could be clear that... he's trying very hard not to let himself succumb to his emotions...

"... I really am dreaming, aren't I...?"

... uh. Okay. Apparently he missed something here. Neku watches what's going on, and by the look on his face it's pretty clear that he's... confused. Yeah, that's the best word for it.

He can't say he's ever seen Joshua look... quite like this. It's weird. It's almost like pain, but there isn't anything that's glaringly obvious that would be causing it. At least, not physically, anyway. Though based on Josh's reaction to him simply mentioning her name, along with how Kairi had greeted him just a moment ago...

... shit, had they been dating? Uh.

"... I can... leave you guys alone, if you want..."
