Summary: Massive Open Apartment Log (March 23rd - 31st)
Warnings: Rooms and stuff? If you start anything that is 16+ and up, PLEASE WARN US.

Do you remember the construction that had been going on for a while inside the apartment complexes? It had been rather silent lately, but on the 23th in the morning, you would find that the walls on each level were now filled with green walls filled with plants that survived harsh light environments, along with many herbs.

How had the managed to get so many of them here in a quick time? Magic, of course. (...No, seriously!)

The instructions were simple; those with Intel personas were asked to use their skills, if they had any, to refresh and renew the plants as they were used by the others. Thus a fresh supplies of produce could be made for a much cheaper price. The hydrophobic pumps took care of the water system.

If anyone ventured into the higher levels, they would find that the empty apartments of the 20th levels were all occupied by bulbs of all colors and sizes, flowers and vegetables in preparation of the warmer spring months. There were many scientific names on them.

It looked like they'd been handed another prototype project to go with the teleporters. But hey, at least this one seemed delicious and wasn't going to send you right into the other building's pool.

[Shiki is currently waiting outside the door of her house, checking her watch every so often as she waits for her boyfriend to transport over from the other apartment building and head up the the ninth floor. She doesn't seem particularly occupied otherwise besides to absentmindedly fiddle with the watch and poke at the game that was offered on the device, or sometimes stare out the large window on the other side of the row of apartment doors.

Come bother her?]

[Neku's a little late in getting there, but only by about six or seven minutes past when he said. Koma had been a little shit and had knocked over some things, so he'd needed to clean that up, but... in the process, he'd also got a pretty good cat scratch on his cheek. He'd dug around and found some cream for it, but he hadn't bothered with a bandaid. He was running late enough as it was.

So, Shiki, here is boyfriendo heading toward your door! ... if it's any consolation, he feels a little bad that you're standing right there outside the door waiting on him, but.]

Hey.

[She smiles a little as he approaches, flipping the watch off and taking a few steps forward to meet him.]

Hey! Did you see all the new plants they added everywhere?

[Shiki's smile falters as she notices the rather aggressive looking scratch across his cheek, and her expression quickly morphs into a sympathetic frown.]

Did Koma do this? Geez... Do you want me to get you a bandaid?

[Neku just smiles, tugging his headphones off of his ears and around his neck.]

Yeah. It looks really cool. I'm still kind of used to this stuff just being in the biodome...

[Buuut as she notices that scratch, he rubs the back of his neck, glancing away.]

It'll be fine. I put some stuff on it.

Are you sure? I have some in my apartment, and god knows what he gets his claws into.

[She ups onto her tip toes a little and gingerly touches his cheek with her fingertips, inspecting the cut to see how deep it was with a worried look.]

[There's a little wince as she touches it - it only happened a few minutes ago, so it's still tender. But the skin around it is already beginning to puff up red in irritation.]

I... guess it might not hurt...

I'll be right back.

[She retreats back into her apartment, rooting around for a minute or so before popping back out with a band-aid and a first aid spray just in case. Shiki carefully spritz's the spray on his cheek and places down the bandaid with careful fingers, hand still lingering on his cheek as she looks up at him.]

There.

[Not much for Neku to do other than wait in the doorway. Though when she comes back, he's pretty submissive with the treatment. Other than a soft 'ow' when the spray settles onto the scratch. It stings, okay?

... of course, they're... still a little close once she's finished, and... uh.]

[Okay. She's gonna do it. She's gonna kiss her boyfriend. She will stop being a pansy and she will do it because it's what couples do except apparently for them because they're both wimps. I-it's not like they haven't kissed before or anything anyways. She's... gonna...]

She leans up on her toes a little and gently presses her lips against his, still cupping his injured cheek with one hand, her free hand coming to rest on his shoulder for support. Shiki forces herself to stay in the kiss a little longer than they ever had previously, trying to keep her nerves from getting the best of her, before finally pulling away with a small blush tinging her cheeks.

Nailed it.]

[... well, he can't say he wasn't sort of anticipating it, even though Neku knows that it's... something that both of them are nervous to do. Though, apparently Shiki is a bit less nervous about it considering she's been the one to initiate this sort of thing so far and whoa--

He pulls in a breath through his nose as their lips touch, going still for just a moment. He hadn't actually... expected anything to happen, but now that it is... It takes a second, but his hands sort of... settle on her sides, just above her hips? Is that okay? But it's warm, and it's nice, and it's lasting a bit longer than it has before...

Once they part... well, she's not the only one that's blushing. But Neku smiles, laughing once, softly. And he leans in to rest his forehead against hers.

... a little awkward, but he can deal. Not like they aren't used to it.]

[... Someone is heading to his room. Someone who looks very much like one of the participants in this kiss.]

[Neku just... stares a little. Uh. Welp. He doesn't want to be rude but he kind of needs to get to his room, and -]

[Wait a second. That picture on Shiki's phone. That's right... she looks like her friend. So the other person in the picture is Shiki, and this girl is...]

Sh-Shiki?!

[Pardon him while he just chokes on air. How did he not notice she was next door?!]

[Shiki jolts out of the embrace at the unexpected exclamation, back hitting her front door with a small thud.]

W-wha?!

[That was certainly Neku's voice she heard, but it was definitely not the Neku she was gazing up at a moment ago; she would've seen his lips moving. Her head snaps to the side in the direction she heard the voice coming from, eyes widening like saucers as she comes to see... another Neku.

Oh.

My.

God.

Please hold, your Shiki is rebooting.]

[Well, looks like this hallway is just full of mild panicking at the moment! Because as soon as Neku hears his own voice saying Shiki's name from a few steps away, his head jerks up and to the side, eyes widening. Nevermind that Shiki has just stepped away from him.

... it's just like the last time they met. Neku hasn't seen the... other him since that first day, and hasn't spoken to him, either. But here he is, standing right in the hallway with them...

... yeah, he's... going silent. And looking down at where the floor meets the wall.]

I... uh...

[... Okay, so maybe Shiki really is pretty cute in her normal body. But... but this is just...]

[His head hurts.]

S... sorry. I uh. Didn't realize you lived next door...

[He points to his apartment door, indicating it like an idiot.]

Uh... I should... uh. Leave you two alone...

[He needs to go wash his face, probably because he's actually starting to flush a little. This is kind of embarrassing...]

[Her gaze averts back to her Neku; he was obviously uncomfortable and for completely understandable reasons. Logically, she should break the conversation as soon as possible and get Neku somewhere that is definitely not here. But at the same time, politeness dictates that she really ought to at least exchange pleasantries with the other Neku, especially now that it had come out that they were neighbors of all things. After all, it was still Neku, even if it wasn't her Neku... ugh. Politeness wins.

Shiki casually steps and moves herself between the two Neku's, trying to be a sort of polite buffer zone between him and the obvious discomfort coming from her Neku. She musters up a kind smile for the other Neku, pushing a strand of hair out of her face nervously. Her other hand moves back to quietly brush against Neku's, offering to hold his hand if he felt like it at the moment.]

A-ah, no, sorry, it's okay. I didn't know we were neighbors either, heh, but I guess I should've figured I was living next to another Neku from all the music you listen to...

[Indeed Neku, she can hear your music through the walls! She never bothered to complain though, considering it reminded her of Neku and the apartment they used to share back at Facility.]

[Thank you for that, Shiki. Though it feels... odd, having Shiki standing in front of him like this, almost like a shield, it... does make Neku feel a little more secure. Normally it would be backwards, and Neku would be shielding Shiki from some sort of threat, but here... here, it's okay. He kind of needs this.

For now, he'll stay quiet, occasionally glancing up at the other him. And when Shiki's hand brushes his own, he's more than glad to take it.]

You could always tell me to turn it down if it's bothering you...

[He grins a little awkwardly. He's still not sure why the other him is so weird about this - it's weird but it's not weird enough for that...]

Uh... I'll just go... I guess both of you know where I live now, so...

[Yeah. He moves towards his apartment. Awkward turtle go!]

Oh no, it's not a bother, I'm actually pretty used to it.

[She gives Neku's hand a small reassuring squeeze from behind her back while she smiles at the other Neku.]

Yeah, wow, what a coincidence this all is! Guess we'll be seeing a lot of each other from now on... h-have a nice day, then!

[Awkward waving go!]

[That squeeze gets Neku to glance up again, though he still keeps his head down somewhat. And... tentatively returning that hand-squeeze.]

... I'll bring that jacket back.

[It's... all he can think of to say.]

No rush. If you need more clothes I've got a bunch that came with me.

[He looks over at Shiki.]

Uh... you too I guess, I've still got some from the first week. I don't know how well they'd fit, but...

It's alright, I have plenty to choose from in my apartment. Thank you for offering, though.

Ah, uhm, if I ever bother you with my sewing machine, feel free to yell at me to shut up. I'll probably be up and sewing at really odd hours...

[They didn't exactly have the most regular sleeping schedule after leaving Facility, not to mention that there were extra hours added in the day at the station.]

[Daichi didn't really have any reason to be up on the 9th floor, but-- well, everyone was sort of out and about, and he was still an 18 year old with no job and no school to attend, so why the hell not. He welcomed himself over to say hello.]

Hey-- [He says with a grin and a wave.] You new here?

[She looks up from her watch and blinks, but quickly offers the boy a smile and waves a little back. Shiki was trying to do her best to be more open in this new town, but she still couldn't help but hold a bit of wariness in the back of her mind as he approaches her. After all, weeks of killer clones and seemingly innocent men attacking her made her a little on edge with the whole 'stranger' thing.]

How'd you know?

It's a gift-- I just have a sort of knack for it.

[Complete bullshit of course, pointed by the fact that Daichi gave a laugh at himself.] Actually I just live a few floors down, and I've been here for a while. Never saw you around before, so I thought I'd say hi.
