Summary: Massive Open Apartment Log (March 23rd - 31st)

Do you remember the construction that had been going on for a while inside the apartment complexes? It had been rather silent lately, but on the 23th in the morning, you would find that the walls on each level were now filled with green walls filled with plants that survived harsh light environments, along with many herbs.

How had the managed to get so many of them here in a quick time? Magic, of course. (...No, seriously!)

The instructions were simple; those with Intel personas were asked to use their skills, if they had any, to refresh and renew the plants as they were used by the others. Thus a fresh supplies of produce could be made for a much cheaper price. The hydrophobic pumps took care of the water system.

If anyone ventured into the higher levels, they would find that the empty apartments of the 20th levels were all occupied by bulbs of all colors and sizes, flowers and vegetables in preparation of the warmer spring months. There were many scientific names on them.

It looked like they'd been handed another prototype project to go with the teleporters. But hey, at least this one seemed delicious and wasn't going to send you right into the other building's pool.

[There's a lot of plants around here.

Masamune shakes his head as he comes outside his apartment in order to head out for a few errands, and though the green walls surprise him, there's a bit of a nostalgic smile on his face as he moves along the wall.]

Huh. Kojuro'd be glad to see this.

[There's a kid standing by the plants and looking at them, too. He's shaking a little bit, but he blinks as he looks over at the other person. His shaking eases a little, since he has something else to focus on. Just keep moving. That's how he's going to survive. Even if it's only mentally.]

A lot of them look kind of weird.

[Masamune shrugs.]

There's weirder out there. Lot of these could probably be used for cooking, from the looks of it.

[He's definitely eyeing some of those herbs. It definitely reminds him of the rooftop garden that Kojuro had installed back home, and of everything that they did in order to make it work. It's a nice sense of nostalgia, at least.]

I'm not sure which, though. And none of these look like the ones I've seen in The World.

[Trying to pull up memories of plants from the real world just pulls up other memories connected with them.]

[Masamune scans the wall again, gently lifting a leaf on one of the plants before letting it drop with a small huff.]

Well, we won't be able to tell for sure until later, but there's probably some books around here detailing that sort of thing anyway.

[Probably. He doesn't trust anyone here at all.]

Don't think so. Though I wouldn't put it past a couple of the citizens to be assholes, but for the most part those type of plants shouldn't be too hard to identify.

Mm. I think... maybe... growing up there weren't plants in my apartment.

[Possibly? He's trying to think back and the memories that are stirring are painful, so he stops trying to think about it.]

I got lucky, I guess. Guy I grew up with had family that was interested in that sort of thing, so he kept it up while we were living together.

Sounds kind of nice...

[Maybe he should get a plant. ... He'd probably forget about it though.]

It was. Kinda weird sometimes with how into it he was, but it wast sill pretty cool sometimes.

[Protip: never get between Kojuro and his little garden.]

Mm. Really? Why would someone get so obsessed with plants?

[If it were kittens, he could understand.]

Dunno - only reason I can think of is that it's relaxing for him.

[And when you had someone like Masamune for a charge, you needed your time to de-stress, even though he's grown up ~~slightly~~ and mellowed out by this point.]

[Aaand this guy comes dashing down the way, very narrowly dodging past Masamune thanks mostly to some very good reflexes.]

-Oops! Sorry about that!

[Well that was damn close. Masamune turns to face whoever nearly ran him over, yelling:]

Slow down, you're gonna kill someone doing that!

[He claps his hands together apologetically.]

Sorry, sorry! I wasn't expecting somebody to be standing there.

What, you expecting nobody in an apartment hallway? [He shakes his head, but by this point Masamune's more amused than anything.]

...Would you be surprised if I said yes? I was sure that everyone would be out and about by now.

Eh, maybe not. Was just about to head out for some errands myself. What's got you in a hurry?

Well, no point in letting the day go to waste, right? It's great outside, so I'm going to enjoy it as much as I can!
