[OOC - Open Apartment Log! Talk to your neighbors, make new CR,get hit on get hit on.
You can find the master list of apartments [RIGHT HERE!]
Starting this week, the apartments also now have TELEPORTERS! These allow you to go from one apartment facility to the other.
They can be found in LEVEL 4 and are big enough to accommodate everyone (but maximum 5 at a time). However, due to the fact that they are still in the testing phase, you may find yourself appearing in the wrong part of the 4th level in the other building -- and that does include above the swimming pool. Hope you like water! (Thankfully this doesn't happen most of the time...most of the time.)
Start your thread with your character's name and their room number. You can always add what they might be doing, or just leave it open for other people to come in. Others then reply to them with the date that they come in and let the CR begin. Fun times are had by all!]

Al Saiduq | Everywhere since he has no room
Shinjiro Aragaki | Libra 7-06
For every other day, Shinjiro abides by his own routine. He will be in and out of his apartment at various times, so perhaps you'll catch him on his way in or out of his apartment, wandering around the Libra complex—sometimes venturing to the complex's rooftop for no apparent reason. His apartment is locked otherwise, and always quiet unless he's forced to entertain some louder company—so knocking would be the obvious choice. On the 8th he'll be bringing home fresh produce from his trip to the market in the late afternoon.]
4th
Which is why she's knocking on his door in the afternoon. :|]
no subject
Luckily, he's actually home. He was out earlier in the morning, but returned not long ago carrying a few white flowers he's currently placing in a small, simple glass vase he bought earlier. He plans to abscond as soon as he is able—provided the coast is clear of any well-intentioned individuals who think they are doing him a favor by visiting. After he leaves, he doesn't intend to come back until long after night has fallen. And even then, his presence will be temporary.
But, as usual, things don't go as planned, and he hears a knock on the door. He can already guess who it might be—there are only a handful of people who would even consider knocking on his door in the first place—but he's not going to answer it. ]
no subject
And then she rings his COMP.
This is not because she thinks he'll actually answer, but because she can listen for the sound of the ringing through the door.]
no subject
At least now he's 99% sure who it is that's hounding his door.
Again, this revelation does not surprise him.]
no subject
I'll just wait for you to open the door, senpai!
[Which... she actually isn't going to do. But her new plan which wasn't made just seconds ago relies on him thinking she's standing outside his door, waiting.
To further this, very quietly, she slips out of her shoes, leaving them where any person peering through the crack at the bottom of the door would see. And then in silent socked feet, she slips back into her own room, next door.]
no subject
But, given how stubborn she is, he assumes she'll be camping out there for at least a little while. So he'll just retreat a little bit further in to the kitchen area. He also knows how to be silent. Maybe lean against the wall and wait until something gives or neither or them do.]
no subject
After throwing a few things into a bag, Minako opens the door to her balcony and steps outside. It's a small space, with a sturdy railing. Off to the left and right are the jutting balconies of other tenants. The right of which is his. She steps up to the rail and looks down.
It's high. They're seven stories up, and a fall from this height would definitely kill her. The gap between balconies, however, is only a few feet. It's a bit far to jump comfortably, but she could probably make it... Except fortunately she has a slightly safer plan. Or so she thinks.
Taking a step back, she closes her eyes and points her hand to her temple as though firing a gun. There's the click of shattering glass, and (slower than a real Evoker would do, but still quick enough) a being bursts into life.
The next step is tricky
because she's not from Trinity Soul. She hasn't tried something this delicate very often, but she's confident enough in her command of her Persona to attempt it. Looping her hands around the snake-god's scaly middle and then the tail around her own waist, she takes off. It's a short glide. She doubts that this technique would work if she wanted to go from here to the ground, but for the distance, Quetzalcoatl's wings support her well enough. A moment later she alights on the neighboring balcony and dismisses the god.
Then she knocks on the balcony door.]
no subject
And stops abruptly.
He feels relieved, in a way, though it's accompanied shortly after by another far harsher emotion, which flares up like it was a living part of him, though simmers down after the split-second spike. His mouth thins.
He gives himself a moment to calm down—though it's like holding back a bullet fired—and stares at the door for a few moments longer, almost, almost tempted to turn right the hell around and leave her there, because she's a goddamn idiot—and if she thinks she can just get what she wants by pulling stupid, asinine little stunts like this—
She could have hurt herself. Could have died. Doesn't matter how the hell she got across, though he can imagine. It also doesn't matter how confident and safe she felt doing something like that. He knows just how high up they are. And you don't take risks like that over nothing. It's childish, is what it is. And reckless.
And thank god she's all right but she's going to make his heart stop beating one of these days.
Damned idiot.
He takes another long moment to breathe before he strides forward, finishes crossing the room and slides open the glass door, because, in the end, he can't leave her there. He doesn't want her going back the way she came, now that she knows she can. ]
no subject
Which... she does know. But in her opinion it was worth the risk. Better to weather his glare and lectures than let him brood alone today, or disappear to some place in Sagittarius where she can't follow and look out for him. Some place that reminds him of that night, when he should be trying to make better memories. It hadn't even really been a year.]
Afternoon, Senpai.
no subject
Don't you ever do that again.
no subject
I used my Persona. It wasn't dangerous.
[she's just mature enough not to blame him for not opening the door. That was the stimulus but not the cause.]

4th, a little before the 13th Hour.
Despite knowing that this place was different, Miki was still afraid that Shinjiro might somehow disappear. So she had waited, sitting down closely to his door, about twenty minutes before the thirteenth hour hit the complex. No need to knock; she had a feeling he would step out sooner or later and if he was sleeping, she didn't want to take him up.
Unfortunately, Miki had not planned on herself being struck with sleepiness. The last few days had seen her barely sleep and now they were coming back in full force, cups of coffee or not. Before she could realize what was happening, she had closed her eyes and leaned on the apartment complex's walls.
There was a flower in her hands while she slept; a white rose which she had gotten from one of the boutiques in the lower levels. Unfortunately it wasn't of great quality since it had not come from a florist, and the flower was already wilting and drooping down.]

He spots Miki just before he can pull the door closed. Looks at her leaning against the wall, and knows he can't just leave her there. He can easily guess why she's here, and something in his otherwise stalwart expression softens when he spots the rose in her hand, even though it seeing it ignites the same regret that's been slowly building as the days have gone by. He regrets a lot of things. Regrets being careless. Regrets being stupid. Regrets being just a little bit reckless and not in control of Castor that one night two years ago (or is it three now?) He knows his other self doesn't regret dying—he certainly hadn't when he had thought his fate when he returned lay in the ground six feet deep and gone—but if that alternate version of himself is anything like him, he does regret having to hurt people in doing so. Shinjiro had repaid a debt long past due, but wishes there was a way his death could have been painless to everyone that knew him. Everyone that mattered in his life. That was why he had tried to push so many people away—so that everything he did would hurt them less. Loneliness was something he could stomach.
After a few moments of careful debate, he sinks down until he's balancing on his heels. He then slips one arm behind her neck, just above her shoulders, while the other slips in the space underneath her knees. Then, as carefully as he can, he lifts her. Takes her up into his arms like she's suddenly six years old again again, and he's just found her sleeping outside he and Aki's door, scared of monsters that were never real, but too hesitant and too kind to do anything but hover outside their door because she didn't want to wake them up. His footsteps are as quiet as he can manage, entering back into his apartment without taking off his shoes, making a deliberate beeline for his bedroom.
He'll go back and fetch the rose she's dropped in a moment.]
The FIFTH. What now.
So he distracts himself with other things on the 4th, and on the 5th, he happens to take a trip up to the Libra rooftop while waiting for his sister to get back. Rooftops aren't... his favorite sort of place to hang out. There's something about them, now, that comes across as bittersweet. But even so, the view - especially from the top of a tall building like this - is pretty nice. And it's quiet here. No neighbors with loud music.
So up on the roof Minato heads, though when he reaches the top he stops, because he sees someone else up here already - Shinjiro.
Thus, Minato hesitates a moment, watching his senpai from another world for a clue as to whether Shinjiro wants to be left alone or wouldn't mind company. ]
WE START THIS S.LINK
But for as painful as that future inevitability is, Shinjiro has other memories to live on that revolve around rooftops. Skipping class, Aki coming and waking him up. Some of his better days, really. It also helps that the apartment's rooftop here is also quiet. It isn't frequented by many people, and for the most part, when Shinjiro finds his way up here, he's always by himself. Him and his little radio that he's shoved in a corner. It's not on right now, but it's there. For the moment, Shinjiro's not doing much, eyes scanning the city from his vantage point, his face wearing the same stoic expression it always has.
The fourth is over, and he's pretty damn grateful for it. Can't say he's slept much, but he has enough coffee in his system to keep him going for awhile.
He spots Minato not long after he arrives, turning his head, staring at the new arrival for a few seconds.]
"Didn't think I'd see you up here."
[He can stay if he wants.]
OKAY LET'S DO THIS FOR REAL NOW
It seemed like a good place to wait.
[ And once he's said that, he figures since Shinjiro's look didn't scream 'go away and leave me alone', it's okay if he shuffles over to join his senpai at the rail. He pulls his hands out of his pockets only so he can rest his elbows on said rail as he, too, looks out over the city.
He's quiet for some time before a single thought worms its way out his mouth. ]
... it seems so much less chaotic from up here.
YOU READY FOR THIS?
It probably wouldn't even be worth his time to guess for who.]
The city?
This is what I thought of => http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJ6CcEOmlYU
Yeah. ... and most other things too, I guess.
.........well, that hit my nostalgia button.
Most places that are quiet do.
[And are difficult to find.]
hahaha mine, too.
A shame quiet places are so hard to find.
[ Though that's why he's often created his own -- well, not exactly quiet place, but a peaceful place anyway, with his music. ]
no subject
You wear those earphones all the time. Guess you can create your own damn noise, can't you? [Or "choose" the noise, anyway. But he'll be damned if he hasn't seen Minato without his earphones, regardless of whether he was listening to a damn thing or not.] Ain't that the point of those things?
no subject
I guess so. ... tunes out the other noise, though... unwanted thoughts, too.
[ Everyone has those at some point, right? Minato's sure Shinjiro knows what he means. ]
no subject
He shakes his head.]
Tch. Guess you're one of those idiots that think too much, huh?
[ Of course, he's one of them too. Music just isn't his measure of choice, however. Better memories are. They're his noise, the river he tries to drown everything else in. Take a stubborn thought or memory or two, throw them in, weighted down, watch each one slowly suffocate beneath the surface until they die for a little while. ]
no subject
[ He might be teasing a little, as he looks side-long right back at Shinjiro. But from what he's learned about Shinjiro, they seem pretty similar in some ways. Different flavors of the same sort of memory avoidance and quiet presence. ]
Is there any music you like?
[ Or is it just brief quiet moments like this? ]
