What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

When Yosuke arrived at the hospital he hadn't been... doing so well.

Getting caught up with some of the stronger Anoli, one of them had decided to turn him into swiss cheese by impaling him with several sharp shards of broken wood, in his arms, legs, stomach, ribs... one had even come dangerously close to his heart, and the surgery to remove it and any shrapnel that could've wormed its way into the vital organ was long and complicated.

Otherwise the sheer impact of the wood on his flesh and bones had left him with a broken right arm, cracked left femur, broken ribs... and a heck of a lot of stitches, inside and out. Needless to say, Yosuke was left in the ICU to recover, where he'd be staying for the next several weeks.

This, by itself, was terribly irritating news. Not only could he not check up on the status of the rest of his team- he'd heard Yu wasn't doing well at all, and he absolutely needed to make sure that Naoto was okay since he'd been the one responsible for her at the time- but sitting still wasn't something he was fond of doing. To make matters worse, however, somehow the information of his room number in the hospital had gotten around and now fangirls of that stupid Junes Invasion book were coming from all over. The nurses were keeping them outside the door, but he was still absolutely drowning in get well cards (some of which were okay, some of which were borderline creepy in nature) and all kind of flowers spread all around his bed. He was just thankful he was stuck by the window, so that any girls who managed to force their way in didn't have a clear shot to his bed.

That being said, he felt incredibly bad for his roommate, one Minato Arisato, who got the bed closer to the door... Well, at least he was good company and conversation.

And she thought sneaking into Yu's room was hard; it was worse for Yosuke due to nurses being there nonstop due to the fangirl invasion. But then again, it was easier for her to blend in with the crowd so she could actually take a look at her friend. With the COMP network offline and no way to contact the rest of the team, Yukiko had to resort to looking the old fashioned way.

Even if that meant leaving her hospital room and scaring the poor nurses with how many times she has left. Maybe they just gave up and said 'screw it'.

When a nurse finally stepped away from the door, Yukiko got her chance to get in and slipped quietly, making sure not to disturb the other occupant.

"Thank goodness." she spoke quietly but Yosuke could hear it well enough.

1st day

In the late morning, after the first batch of fangirls are ushered away, Minako makes her way around the room dividing curtain to Yosuke's half. At first it's almost impossible to tell if Yosuke is even still in his bed with all the flowers surrounding him. The sea of petals probably makes it hard for him to see if anyone is sneaking up on him, too.

"Hi, Yosuke-kun! How are you feeling?" Besides sore from having all those wood shards removed.

If, like Minato, Yosuke was awake enough to unintentionally eavesdrop on last night's sappy conversation, this meeting could be a bit awkward. Otherwise, though, Minako is just here to introduce herself to her brother's roommate.

ALL DAY EVERY DAY. can we say it's a few days after?

Teddie had been at the hospital since the beginning. There was no reason for him to be at his apartment; he had friends to take care of! Mostly, he'd been making sure to keep Yosuke and Nanako company when he wasn't visiting Yu or making sure anyone else who was injured was doing okay. Teddie didn't want anyone to feel alone while they were sick; they needed to concentrate on getting better. He even brought stuff for Yosuke to do!

"Yosuke, we should read this book next!!" He said, trying to sound cheerful.

"Dang senpai, that's a lot of flowers..."

Now Kanji felt like the small bear he'd somehow managed to sew with his recovering hand was going to get lost in the sea of presents that were arranged in an almost creepy shrine-like pyramid to the Junes Prince.

"Yo'know, I ain't sure if I'd rather face off against a biker gang or the girls standin' outside of the room."

He already HATED hospitals, did they need to add a school of rabid fangirls to the mix?

Avitus turned from Minato's part of the room, done giving him a feather, and ran his hands through his wings again, preening quickly to find another.

One look at Yosuke and he paused a second, only to redouble his efforts. A quick tug, his breath catching briefly, and he pulled away a large one, not quite a foot and a half long, by half a foot wide, round and soft and jet black like all his other plumes. He stepped closer, quiet, looking over what he could see of the other boy. Not at all for the first time that day, let alone since the chaos broke out at the stadium, he felt useless. If he'd had the Gift of healing, like some of his brothers did, he'd be able to help more meaningfully. If he didn't have such a weak stomach, he could've joined one of those brothers in studying medicine, and be able to help the staff with the patients. But no, he just had to be useless and--

Stop it.

He closed his eyes again, taking a second to try to regain his pokerface there, before he looked back to the boy he assumed was maybe sleeping, to leave the big feather on his blanket, where he'd find it easily enough. Maybe it didn't have any magical good luck related qualities, but he could still hope that it would at least help with morale. Goodness knew that was sometimes quite important too.

And if Yosuke (or anyone else) didn't catch him, he'd turn to leave the room again, on his way to give others feathers too.

"Hey, Yosuke--!"

Daichi half swung himself in from the door frame; compared to many other people, he had gotten off very easily. Just some superficial scrapes and bruises. He had a few bandages and had abandoned the jacket of his school uniform at some point, and when the medic teams started winding down, he had basically become a glorified gopher. And thus, here he was, standing in the doorway holding a folded piece of paper between his thumb and forefinger.

"I found you a present outside~!"

Day 2ish

After some long-prepared (but never used on her own too-enthusiastic fans) death glares at the women mobbing outside the door and a polite conversation with the nurse to explain she wasn't one of them, Rise eventually made it into Yosuke's room, looking exhausted but otherwise none the worse for wear by now.

"Hey, senpai. Good to see you're awake."

A CHALLENGER APPEARS

The great thing about having a police badge is that it makes wading through mobs much easier. ...Well, partially easier.

Yosuke's newest visitor - a policeman with prominent scars on his face - slams the door behind him before any of the fangirl swarm can think twice about slipping in after him.

_{"...well, that's a battlefield I'm not prepared for."}

After taking a moment to regain his composure, the policeman gives Yosuke a bright, rather off-putting smile. "Hello, Mr. Hanamura! If you're lucid, I'd like to ask you a few questions."

She made it out of the battle in pretty rough shape. Given the circumstances, however, she considered herself lucky to have only gotten the type of injuries she did. Her arm had suffered the most damage, requiring surgery to remove the bullet that had lodged into her forearm. It was wrapped up the most with thick bandages and rested temporarily in a cloth sling. The cut she'd suffered across her face was the most noticeable and she felt ridiculous with the bandage covering it. The rest of her was bruised and scratched up too. Deep gashes from flying debris and throbbing aches where her Persona had been struck. Aches so painful she could hardly move. She would definitely be bed ridden for awhile, mostly due to soreness.

The long hospital gown covered most of her bruises and bandages body at any rate. Naoto had only recently regained conscious, forcing herself to sit upright to try and get her bearings. Her head throbbed painfully and her Persona was eerily quiet, which made her anxious.

But more than anything was was worried about her friends. She hoped Yosuke was all right. He had been in way worse shape than her. She had also heard Yu wasn't doing well either. She hadn't heard anything else about any of the others. Rise or Kanji... she hoped they were okay as well. As soon as she could she was going to go look for them.

It was to this point that the nurses really didn't care about what the priestess would do; she'd leave even without their consent so they just told her to stay out of the ICU and it'll be fine.

Whoops, broke that with Yu and Yosuke. No one was surprised. Finally she was able to find Naoto and peeked into her room.

"Naoto-kun?" she whispered, looking around. "Are you awake?"

Teddie had made sure to go to the different rooms when he could and visit everyone. Naoto was no different!! Smiling, he came into the room with flowers that he got just for her!

"Nao-chan!!" Teddie said with a big smile, "I've come to see you!"

She'll get a visitor -- a blue demon bird-person with huge black feathered wings, who seemed somewhat preoccupied with preening one of them out with his hands, as he stepped in. Those odd hands of his came away with one of the ridiculously large feathers -- about eight or nine inches long, and about five wide, round and soft-looking -- which he ran through his fingers, making sure the barbs were locked properly, before he approached her bed, pausing as he realized she was very much up and awake.

"Oh...." A slight pause, and he tried giving her a little smile, his wings wrapping gently around himself in sort of a hug. Maybe he was a bit shy? "Hello."

By the time she made it to Naoto's room, Rise was feeling pretty down. Three of her friends had gotten severely thrashed by those terrorists, including the guy she liked most and the girl she'd kind of appropriated as her best friend. Possibly without her noticing, Rise was still kind of unclear on that.

Regardless, she put on a small smile and went in to see Naoto. Same kind of state as Yosuke, but she looked a little better off, at least...

"Hey, Naoto-kun," she said, quietly. "How are you feeling?"

You know, this would have been a lot easier if it had been anyone BUT Naoto. It wasn't just the fact that this was in a hospital, it was the fact that...well, every damn thing! He'd always been a nervous bag of mixed emotions around her and adding a place he hated being in the first place only made him even worse.

Should he knock on the door? Just let himself in? Would she like that? Was he going to come as too annoying? Would she like what he made?

"Dammit! I need to stop that!" Woops, just said that allowed. Couldn't really back off now, right? Closing his hand on the bear, he finally walked into the room.

"uh....h-hey...."

Minako is not injured, but that doesn't mean she can't be found around the hospital.

For the first day or so, 'around the hospital' mostly means in Minato and Yosuke's shared room. Whenever Minato is asleep and the fangirls surrounding the 'Junes Prince' get too obnoxious, however, she vacates to other parts of the hospital, peeking in on anyone she recognizes and raiding the drink machines for cans of Mad Bull and Cielo Mist.

After Minato receives an unwanted visitor, however, Minako ends up staying in his room much more often. When she isn't there, she managed to coach several fangirls to to stop anyone of Geneva's description entering the room. Of course, she probably won't come back and isn't after Yosuke even if she does, but the fans don't need to know that. It's better to be safe.

He managed to make it out of Minato's and Yusoke's Yosuke's room, past the fangirls, though not without being stopped and interrogated by them for a minute or two. He stepped away, into the hall, wings floofed and pulled around himself in a hug, trying very hard to keep a straight face.

He stepped away, and by the time he felt calm enough (and far away from them enough) to say anything, he'd found himself near Minako, wherever they were in the hall there. And she didn't look to be insane, and he was still just a little too spooked to keep his questions entirely to himself.

"What... what sort of 'teams' are they talking about? They sound like they're plotting more violence or something over there!"

Fangirls are freaking scary, okay.

Second day - late morning. She's probably seen Geneva's ... card.

When Minato next awakens after that unwanted visitor, it's with something of a start, as the creepiness lingers in his subconscious and bothers him with dreams. He can sense someone else right next to his bed, when he wakes up, and that - coupled with the dreams - makes him tense. But the startle ends in a wince, as the slight movement jars his still-healing side and shoulder.

But only a moment or two passes before he realizes the person next to his bed is someone very safe and very welcome, and he blinks up at her blearily, making some small attempt at a smile. "Hey."

He's not exactly paid attention to the injuries he's carried away - he's become an expert at blocking out pain (having Curaga to take off the worst edge of it helps too) and so what if he's limping a little (or maybe more a lot, because damn, he can't even lean on his left leg anymore) as long as he has his right arm and his Keyblade he still can fight. He's been pretty much utterly drained when he'd found himself carted off towards the hospital and barely pays attention when one of the doctors diagnoses his shin as broken and in need of being reset (though with all the other, far more pressing cases, it takes some hours until they actually reset the break and plaster his leg from his foot almost up to his mid-thigh.

Just moments after arriving in his ward he passes out from pain and exhaustion and doesn't even think to switch out Zorya for one of his... less threatening Dream Eaters or notices the large tiger appearing and curling up in front of his bed, carefully watching anyone who might dare approaching him while he's injured and passed out.

When he wakes up again, his left shin is throbbing, his skin itching and the doctor coming by to tell him that he's (supposed to) been confined to bed for the next week at very least and that the crutches they are providing him with are only to be used for the most urgent matters.

...Well. Riku figures that finding out what exactly happened to the rest of his friends a very, very pressing and urgent matter and so he can be found hobbling his way down the corridor in search for familiar faces. He's certainly nothing if not determined.

Sora was on his way to see Riku and make sure he was alright. If there was someone he was really worried about, it was Riku. He knew that he'd push himself to take care of everyone, so he had to make sure he wasn't...being Riku. When he saw the familiar silver hair, he hurried up to catch up to him (which didn't take long) and stood in front of him with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Where do you think you're going?" He said, pulling the deepest frown a Sora could manage.

Someone else is wandering the hospital, looking for familiar faces... though as he drifts down one of the halls aimlessly - taking a moment to look into each doorway just in case - his eyes catch that hair. All-too-familiar... his eyes narrow and he ducks back, pressing against the wall with a scowl.

...and the blue bird-person coming down the hall pauses, eyes wide at this sight. He knows what a cast is, and he knows what crutches are, and he knows that this teenager probably shouldn't be up and about, in his condition. And yet, he is anyway.

Avitus's wings drop from around him, to fold up behind his back again, like birdish wings ought to, the feathers floofing out subtly with his worry.

"Um...."

[People might see a rather strange sight at the hospital today. A girl wearing a cat suit (not the sexy kind either) wandering around the halls, peering around the rooms. She was carrying a basket full little iris flower arrangements in one arm while holding on to a few balloons in her other hand. Looks like she's going to attempt to cheer up some of the patients today.]

Avitus paused at seeing the cat suit, from behind, eyes wide, the feathers on his giant wings floofing up. It was a giant cat, and--

Wait. No, it was a cat costume. Worn by a human.

He let out a breath, hands going up, holding them over his heart for a moment. He should've guessed at it being a costume, but after seeing some of the things he's seen, his instincts were leaning even further toward paranoia than usual. He closed his eyes, gave his wings a little shiver to re-settle their feathers, and folded them behind him, then put on a little smile. Now that he'd taken another look, the basket of flowers and the balloons made a bit more sense -- surely she was doing similar to what he is, and passing something out to people, to try to make them feel better?

He might as well confirm as much!

He stepped closer to her, when she started back down the hall. "Pardon, miss, but... what is it you're up to, exactly?"

ICU; OTA || the latest person to ever be late

[Naminé is one of the more serious cases in the ICU. Trying to hold her own against Spades and Hitsuji, while a valiant effort, had proved to be too much for her. Her list of injuries is long, and vary to pains as minor as several scrapes across her skin, to broken bones, to severe blood loss from several bullet wounds.

But having been bandaged up so well, all evidence of battle hidden beneath rolls of gauze, the sterile environment around her softens the severity of what happened to her. It's like she's back in her White Room again, wrapped up safe and sound away from anything that can hurt her.

She rests now, softly breathing, laid out on the hospital bed and hooked up to several quietly beeping machines. One of the doctors has come by and noted that she should be waking up from her pain-killer induced haze soon.]

[Having not only been the one to bring Naminé in but also having claimed they were related (normally you'd need valid proof, but Visitor ID's were kind of weird and the Doctor's didn't want to bother with those shenanigans), Kairi is the first to be alerted about her condition and allowed back to visit.

She opens and shuts the door quietly, not wanting to disturb her if she was awake yet, and slips into a chair by Naminé's bedside that the nurses had placed there for her. Kairi reaches out to grasp one of her sister's hands gently, taking a deep and shuddering breath as she looks at her. For someone so hurt, Naminé looked so peaceful and at ease... it was hard to see, in a way.

If only she hadn't been torn away from her in the hectic crowd....]

Shura was lucky to have made it out alive.

She knew it, and it pissed her off to no end.

Which is why she can be found staring out the window, jaw set and brows furrowed, lying on a bed with two groin to toes casts, her gown half off her despite it being the day and her markings being mostly absent.

He headed to the bed as he made sure its barbs were neatly locked together, and paused, realizing she was awake.

If he knew what his mun knew, he might be a little more cautious in approaching her.

"Hi," he said softly, not seeing her expression yet. He gave her a little smile, putting his wings back up behind him again.
